Disregard the poll. I don't know how to remove it :(

Changes in Bold!

This is the first time I made a good team and I’ve been working with it for almost 2 months now. It started when I decided to actually make a team around type synergy, adding some defense, blah blah blah. I’ve done so much changing and my team building process is a whole long list of crap so I won’t get too much into that. But I will congratulate Scizor, who stuck with the team since day 1. He gets some shiny paint as a reward!

OK now let’s get on with it!

Snipe (Scizor)(M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 236 HP, 252 Atk, 20 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)
-Bullet Punch
-Superpower
-U-turn
-Pursuit

This EV spread gives me the edge over the Scizor who thinks he is faster than the standard Scizor. He is the first member of the Volturn core, which does a good job of keeping the pressure. Pursuit has killed a lot of things. Thanks for telling me to do so :)

Manchine (Rotom-Wash)(M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP, 252 SpA, 252 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
-Trick
-Hidden Power (Ice)
-Volt Switch
-Hydro Pump

The second member of the Volturn core. It gets BoltBeam and Hydro Pump, which is awesome, and tricking walls (cough Blissey) on the switch causes a lot of ragequits. Not much else to say, more glue and scouting with Scizor. Standard Rotom-W is standard.

Conker (Forretress)(M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP, 120 Def, 136 SpD
Impish Nature (+Def, -SpA)
-Earthquake
-Light Screen
-Stealth Rock
-Rapid Spin

I stole this idea from Nbz, and tweaked it for my team's needs. The concept is to get Light screen, which with the given EV spread, brings its Special Defense to a cool 380, while its Defense is also 380. It also supports a switch should, say, Rotom switch into a Fire Blast. It packs Eathquake to hit Magnezone if I have sturdy or Light Screen to live a hit. It provides answers to my call for spinning and Stealth Rocks.

Dragone (Latias)(F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP, 4 Def, 252 Spe
Timid nature (+Spe, -Atk)
-Recover
-Reflect
-Calm Mind
-Dragon Pulse

Latias has the perfect role of an offensive special wall, especially for my team. She has reflect which helps her set up a sweep. The speedy EV spread has been working out much better, as I can act quickly and reflect or CM to sponge the hit, recover, and repeat.

AvgIron (Skarmory)(M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP, 228 Def, 28 Spe
Impish nature (+Def, -SpA)
-Spikes
-Whirlwind
-Roost
-Brave Bird

Skarmory is an excellent physical wall and has Spikes which contribute to my cause. He also has whirlwind for phazing, so that helps with wearing down my opponent. He checks a great number of threats and makes a good core with latias.

Gengar (M) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP, 252 SpA, 252 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
-Trick
-Shadow Ball
-Substitute
-Disable

Zelda100 suggested this set, except for trick. Tricking sludge everywhere is very satisfying. No Blissey or anything wants to eat a pile of sludge and it wins matches for me.
Final Inspection!

Synergy check:

Scizor- Fire-Rotom, Latias

Rotom- Grass- Scizor, Skarmory, Latias

Donphan- Grass- Scizor, Skarmory, Latias
Water- Rotom, Latias
Ice- Scizor, Rotom

Latias- Ice- Scizor, Rotom
Dragon- Scizor, Skarmory
Dark- Scizor, Skarmory
Bug- Scizor, Skarmory
Ghost- Scizor, Skarmory

Skarmory- Electric- Latias, Donphan
Fire- Latias, Rotom

Gengar- Dark- Scizor, Skarmory
Ghost- Scizor, Skarmory,
Psychic- Scizor, Skarmory, Latias

How Stuff Works:

The team is more defensively geared when I look at it. My goal is to try and get up my hazards early game, and to keep the pressure on the opposing team with Volturning and phazing. This wears down the opposing team and lets me easily clean up with Scizor, Rotom, or Latias.

I trashed Sableye and added Gengar.

I hope you enjoyed reading this RMT, and the rate would really help me. I appreciate constructive criticism because I am relatively new to competitive play.

Thanks to all for helping me with this so far! Anymore suggestions are welcome! ^_^

since everything on this team is apparantly here to stay, id like to just comment on some of your proposed changes and give my views.

starting at sableye, i really think it'd be more beneficial to have an attack over confuse ray or substitute - this makes beating skarmory much easier and gives you something to hit common switch-ins with (one big problem i'll get to in a second is darmanitan in the sun). so i think night shade or even foul play would be ideal. i'd also suggest changing your evs and nature to max special defense, as will o wisp deals with physical threats anyway with 2 big duty defensive walls in donphan/skarm so being able to tank special attackers more reliability.

on that same note, i'd suggest changing latias to a max defense varient, or even consider reflect over calm mind. one issue i see is that while you have 2 big defensive threats to tank stuff like cb haxorus, you still have issues with things like darmanitan or even sd scizor (and having reflect and then skarm really shuts that down better than hoping its not the last mon and the pieces fall together).

Past that, I like the idea of also changing rotom-w to timid - you'll want to outspeed dd haxorus at +1 and like i just said, scarf darman. it also gives you a more reliable rotom-w to things like lucario after you trick your scarf. consider giving skarmory brave bird over drill peck, it gives a much more reliable attack vs haxorus and just in general vs defensive pokemon (trust me, the damage difference is significant).

finally, to combat other cm latias or specs latios, consider changing quick attack on scizor to pursuit - i feel you can handle gyarados or w/e with the rest of the team and being able to guarantee a kill on these two would be extremely helpful.

good team and i like the different strategies thrown in :)

I think the reflect on Latias would be helpful as Sableye often gets screwed and I won't be able to Will-o stuff, it'll also help against Fire types like Darmanitan who cant get burned.
I will try that stuff out after finals tomorrow >.>

Hey there!

Nice team you have here. I just have a couple points I want to say.

One is about possibly replacing your Sableye with a SubDisable Gengar. SubDisable Gengar is just a good poke and it could make turn your group into a more balanced team. Not to mention that Gengar would really appreciate the Stealth Rock and Spikes damage you'll have up. Test it out and see how you like it. Here is a set.

Gengar @ Lefteover / Black Sludge
Trait: Levatate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timd Nature
-Substitute
-Disable
-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast

Also I would recomend Dragon Pulse over Dragon Breath because I think the extra power is worth it and Dragon Breath isn't that powerful of a move anyway (but thats just me)

And I just gotta I say I like it that your Scizor knows Quick Attack. It could suprise alot of Volcanoras, Rotom-W's, etc. (all these pokemon could potentially give you trouble) and maybe finish them off if they have low health.

Hope I helped and Good luck! :D

Hey, this is a good team.
anyways i've been curious about your sableye and i want to give some changes.
Well first of all since will-o-wisp burns and reduces attack power, Swagger can be used as a change since it is more accurate , and if you want you can use foul play to take advantage of that Swagger attack boost. and probably what Zelda100 said.

Volcarona kills my team. If it doesn't come in on Latias or sableye it'll get a quiver dance up without being roared/taunted. Then my best hope is Quick attack.

I tested this and also punishment. But sableye gets destroyed and gengar is more beneficial.
