Wormadam-G (QC 3/3)

[OVERVIEW]

  • Typing is a blessing as well as a curse

  • Resists ground and fighting, but is vulnerable to many common attacks
  • lacks Stealth Rock, leaving it inferior to many other ground types
  • has very few options

[SET]
name: Weather Worm
move 1: Rain Dance / Sunny Day
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Bug Bite
move 4: Toxic
item: Damp Rock / Heat Rock
ability: Anticipation
nature: Impish
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4SpD

[SET COMMENTS]

  • Very little has changed for her since last generation
  • She is still a joke who needs to really on surprise factor to do anything
  • Use the appropriate weather move and then GTFO
  • Earthquake is a nice stab move to use if you have no other options
  • Bug Bite can be used to hit Grass types or Psychic types
  • Toxic lets him her hit dedicated walls
  • Decent Physical Defense can let her tank a hit from Sawk or Absol and do some damage
[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

  • Some Special Defense EVs are viable but not reccomended

  • Overcoat can be used but youre trying to change the weather anyways

  • Works very well with weather abusers like Gorebyss or Leavanny

  • Do not use as your primary weather setter, she should only be back up

[OTHER OPTIONS]

  • Wormadam-G has access to Sucker Punch if you want to catch a frail offensive Pokemon off guard

  • A resttalk set is usable but better left to everything else

  • Rock Blast

[CHECKS AND COUNTERS]

  • Anything with a Fire attack

  • Weezing
  • Water types
  • Flying types
  • Ice types
  • Anything with a moderately powerful move
  • Anything bulky with sub
  • Basically anything not named Absol

IMO use Return > Bug Bite; it gets better coverage and is slightly less weak.

who the hell thought it was a good move to not give this SR? :/

use overcoat this time since hail is popular and, well, if it lets you take less damage it's better.
