Huh, where the hell am I? Why am I in a dome?! Dear god, I'm trapped in the Simpson's Movie!!!

No, wait, I'm just in a stadium... and I have to ref a battle to get out of here? Ok, sounds good.

Challenging Ullar!

1v1 Singles
1 Day DQ
1 Substitute Action
2 Recoveries
5 Chills
Arena:

A 120 * 100 * 100 Room, Bolt Beach is an artificial haven. Above the arena is a glass dome, where spetators watch, whilst trainers have podiums to issue commands from elevated podiums at opposite ends of the arena. Bolt Beach is mainly a bright yellow sand, and a dark yellow water. There are a few palm trees, although they give off a slight green glow.

Features:

- Electricity in the sand means that electric types are always under the effect of charge. Electric attacks can hit ground types, although they are treated as resisting the type.
- The sand halfs the BP of Seismic attacks, and gives dig a -3 Priority to tunnel down, and -4 to surface.
- Attacks which require natural sunlight cannot work.
- Attacks which cannot work in an artificial environment do work, but paralyse the user 5% of the time as if hit by Thunder Wave, since the "Nature" is electric.
- Nature Power is treated as Shock Wave.
- There is a constant rainfall in the arena, which is unchangable.
- Mud Sport is washed away at the end of each round.

You are on.

Items=On
Abilities=None
Switch=Pikachu

Ref?

So those are the rules fellas! I want a good, clean fight alright? No skullduggery, and absolutely NO going over DQ time!

UllarWarlord's crazy creature:
[Drake] (Male)
Nature: Naughty (+Attack, -Sp. Def.)
Type: Normal/Flying
Normal: Normal STAB; adapt comfortably to any surrounding after 3 actions. Able to use Outrage without losing focus.

Flying: Flying STAB; immunity to Ground attacks except under the effects of Smack Down and Gravity, even for ground-based flying Pokemon. Will always hit foes with Dig (except other Flying types) and Dive. Cannot be hit by Dive unless the attacking Pokemon has a size class greater than four (4). Immune to Spikes and Toxic Spikes. Enhanced aerial mobility. Superior senses in open air arenas.

Abilities:
Keen Eye (Type: Innate)
This Pokemon has extremely good vision and cannot have its accuracy lowered by an opponent through any means (including accuracy lowering attacks, Smogs, Hazes, Fog, etc.). Its attacks are still affected by an opponent’s evasion and the Pokemon's own accuracy.

Inner Focus (Type: Innate)
When an opponent attempts to flinch this Pokemon, it stands firm and continues its attack. If it has another ability that would be activated by flinching, that ability activates.

Defiant (Type: Innate) [DW, Unlocked]
The Pokemon has a deep sense of honor, and whenever one of its stats are decreased by an opponent's Attack or Ability, its Attack increases by two (2) stages. Attack Boosts gained this way are not subject to deterioration that round.

Electivire [Short Fuse] (M)
Type: Electric - Electric STAB; 50% reduction in paralysis chance from other electrical attacks, perfect accuracy and 30% chance of Protect breaking Thunder during Rain. Superior senses in power plant environments.
Nature: Mild (+SpAtk -Def)

Abilities:
Ability 1: Motor Drive (Innate) - This Pokemon nullifies any electrical attack damage and converts the energy from any electrical attack (inc. Thunder Wave) into an energy source that allows it to boost its speed by one (1) level. A boost gained this way by an opponent's attack will be maintained at the end of each round. Self-targeted attacks do not maintain boosts..
Ability 2: Vital Spirit (DW) (Innate) - This Pokemon has a high vitality and alertness making it immune to sleep induced by other Pokemon. Its normal state of sleeplessness makes it take 1 less damage/action from Ghost Curse. If it is put to sleep by a Pokemon with Mold Breaker it will wake up the next action.

So, while Dogfish seems to have a giant advantage over Ullar, Ullar does get the Medal of Swag (decreases all incoming damage by .000000000001) for actually having/using a Farfetch'd. Dux ftw.

Begin the destruction!

Well that didn't take very long at all, did it? Well then, the reffing won't either. Here ya go:

Pre-Round stats:

Drake @ Amulet Coin
HP: 90
EN: 100

466.png

Short Fuse @ EXP Share
HP: 100
EN: 100
Charge (permanent)

Sandy calcs:
Action 1
Short Fuse made a Substitute! (25 HP, 24 EN)

Sand-Attack -> Short Fuse (4 EN)
But it failed! (Substitute)

Action 2
Taunt -> Drake (10 EN)
Drake was Taunted!

Drake used Substitute!
It failed!

Action 3
Thunder -> Drake (7 EN)
RNG roll (to crit) 4647 = no crit
RNG roll (to para, <=3000 para) 7346 = no para
(15+3+(4-2)1.5) (1.5) = 31.5 ~ 32 DMG

Slash -> Substitute(25) (4 EN)
RNG roll (to crit, <=1250 crit) 299 = crit
(7+3+3+(4-2)1.5) = 16
The Substitute took the damage! (9)

As I crane my neck to oddly look at the few spectators we have for this match, the battle seems to have already begun! Quick as a flash, Short Fuse immediately runs away, leaving a plush doll in his place. While the doll was being placed, Drake kicked some Sand into the air, but the doll absorbed all of it, and nothing happened!

Right afterwards, Short Fuse appeared from his hiding place to yell some obscenities at Drake, instantly offending everyone but me in the arena, because I don't give a fucking shit about goddamn curse words you asshole. Drake was flown into a rage by this, but he could not do anything at all but quack at the Substitute, doing absolutely nothing.

Short Fuse jumped on a palm tree and summoned a giant lightning bolt, which, boosted by the Rain, slammed Drake, dealing absolutely MASSIVE damage! I'm actually surprised that the duck was able to stand up after that! Even though Drake now knows exactly where Short Fuse is, he still Slashes at the Substitute with that leek of his... Like many things in Pokemon, I don't get it. However, even with a crit, the Slash isn't nearly enough to break the Substitute, and you can faintly hear a chuckle from Short Fuse...

Looking at the field now, I can't say I'm surprised! The combination of the electrified field and the type disadvantage is surely backing UllarWarlord into a corner! However, there is a shining light for the Dux user. Sure, Short Fuse may be behind a Sub, but he's already getting a bit tired while Drake is simply full of energy, darting around the arena! Can the little, seemingly useless bird actually overcome the most hated Pokemon in 4th gen OU, or will Dogfish continue with his onslaught and have a delicious dinner? Stay tuned and find out!

Post-Round stats:

Drake @ Amulet Coin
HP: 58
EN: 96
Taunted (4 actions)

Short Fuse @ EXP Share
HP: 75
EN: 59
Substitute (9)
Charge (permanent)

Well Dogfish, you're up!

Look at the arena. Permanent Rain :P

Also, Struggle only occurs the second action or after - the first failed action is always a failed move for no EN and no damage.

The arena also gives a permanent Charge: That's +1 Sp.Def and +3 BP on my electric attacks.

... -facepalm-
I'm a derpface. Lemme go fix that up.

EDIT: The round is officially un-derped up!

Here we are again, with the electricity in the area literally charging up! What will happen this round, and is there any chance Drake will survive?!

Pre-Round stats:

20% more calcs:
Action 1
Thunderbolt -> Drake (6 EN)
RNG roll (to crit) 7716 = no crit
RNG roll (to para, <=1000 para) 520 = para
(13+3+(4-2)1.5) (1.5) = 28.5 ~ 29 DMG
Drake was paralyzed! (15% para chance)

RNG roll (for para, <=1500 para) 4927 = no para
Revenge -> Substitute(9) (8 EN)
RNG roll (to crit) 9884 = no crit
(12+(4-2)1.5) = 15 DMG
The Substitute faded!

Action 2
Thunder -> Drake (7 EN)
RNG roll (to crit) 3360 = no crit
RNG roll (to para, <=3000 para) 744 = paralysis is renewed like a troll
(15+3+(4-2)1.5) (1.5) = 31.5 ~ 32 DMG
Drake got pwnd and fainted!

As we begin our battle again, Short Fuse fired off a bolt of thunder again, and Drake became ever-more fried! In fact, the electricity is now surging through Drake's body, and he's paralyzed! Even through his paralysis, Drake is still able to get his Revenge, and the annoying doll is finally gone!

Wow! It appears that the Electivire's nickname was not just slapped on! Now that his defense is gone, Electivire flies into a rage this time, and fires off another Thunder! After the electrified sand cleared, the result was obvious: Drake was blown into submission, and Dogfish wins by a landslide!

Post-Round stats:

Drake @ Amulet Coin
HP: -3
EN: 88 (KO)

466.png

Short Fuse @ EXP Share
HP: 75
EN: 46
Charge (permanent)

Hooray for rewards:
DF44 gets a win and 2 CC!
Short Fuse gets 4 MC (3 from battle + 1 from EXP. Share) and 1 KOC!

UllarWarlord gets a loss and 3 CC (2 from battle +1 from Amulet Coin)!
Drake gets 3 MC and the Medal of Swag!

Thanks for letting me ref this pseudo-flashmatch, and I get 3 UC from it!
