According to Pokemondb, Marriland, and Bulbapedia, Nidoran F is in the Field and Monster egg groups.
According to Veekun and Serebii, Nidoran F is in the Monster and Ground egg groups.

Serebii, Bulbapedia, Marriland and Pokemondb say Pansage is in the Field egg group.
Veekun says Pansage is in the Ground egg group. (WTF?)

The above information gives us a 4/5 chance of Rivalry activating.
Personally, I trust Bulbapedia and Marriland the most, but if you have evidence I'm wrong feel free to share it with the class.

Round One Start!

As the round begins, the trainers stride onto the field, prepared to battle. The crowd goes wild, cheering for the trainers as they send out their NFE pokemon, ready to train. On one side, a Pansage cartwheels about, clearly eager to battle. On the other, a Nidoran F seems to be sizing up the Pansage, clearly fixated on their Rivalry. This promises to be an exciting battle, so let's get to it!

With a screech, Eelwise the Pansage Torments an unsuspecting Eltahale! A unique strategy, one wonders what her trainer is planning! In retaliation, Eltahale Jabs the grass monkey with Poison, doing some major damage! The Pansage is sent flying!

Recovering, Eelwise skips from side to side in a dizzying display of speed, creating four illusory clones to Double Team the bewildered Eltahale! The Nidoran F screeches Supersonic waves at the nearest, but the attack merely causes the clone to evaporate!

The four remaining Pansage circle the perplexed Nidoran F, before launching into an Acrobatic attack! Barty seems to be using Eelwise's lack of an item to his advantage! Angered, Eltahale wildly Poison Jabs the closest Pansage, tearing another clone to bits!

As the round closes, Eelwise and her two remaining clones continue to circle the befuddled Eltahale. Will the Poison Pin Pokémon be able to find the correct Grass Monkey Pokémon? Find out when we come back!

Round Two Start!

As the second round begins, both battlers eye one another warily, preparing themselves for the next skirmish.

Nervous about only having two clones, Eelwise begins to Double Team, zipping back and forth. With a roar, Eltahale charges forward, in hot Pursuit of the real Pansage! The shock of the impact causes all of Eelwise's clones to evaporate, leaving the Pansage standing alone.

Furious at losing her illusory allies, Eelwise swings into a Fury Swipes, raining blows down on Eltahale. However, the Nidoran F seems to have lived up to the name of her Species, the Poison Pin Pokémon, as Poison Point as activated! Pansage slumps back, wincing from poison, as Eltahale Disables Fury Swipes!

Pansage jumps away, climbing the wall of the stadium before launching into an Acrobatic attack! However, it seems Eltahale is readying a Poison Jab that is sure to do some serious dama-but wait! What's this? It seems Eltahale is unable to Poison Jab because of Torment! What a shock!

As the round closes, both battlers seem tired, but it's Pansage who is in worse shape. Poisoned and against a type disadvantage, will the grass monkey be able to recover? Find out when we get back!

My apologies, I made a minor mistake last round, Eltahale's Pursuit got a crit, but I forgot to add that into the damage calc. It's only 3 damage and it's already fixed.

Desperate, Eelwise creates a single Double Team clone, but Eltahale hastily chases the real Pansage down with a Pursuit!

Summoning the last of her energy, Eelwise Leers in defiance at Eltahale, but the Nidoran F simply KOes the Pansage with a final Ice Beam!

Eelwise has fainted! Eltahale and UllarWarlord win!
