"Hmph! It seems I wasn't with quite the same expectations as my foe and now he has chosen to bring a grenade to this pillow fight... I fear that I may regret doing this, but come out, Marina! You'll be using your Rain Dish, today!"

270.gif

The Lotad looks incredulously at Lenneth after being released from its Poke Ball. She barely manages to work up enough nerve to get to her feet and stare nervously at the Vigoroth...

"Come now, Marina, we've fought things than this before! Oh wait, no you haven't... Well, this isn't much different than the time you fought that Togepi. Except... you lost that battle. Hmm, I don't think I have anything inspirational to say. Just attack with Scald, Bubblebeam, and another Scald, okay? If he uses Aerial Ace, why not Counter it to damage him terribly? Umm, knock 'em dead? No. Good luck? Eh. Just don't get killed, ok?"

To begin the fight, Laggers goes for a tactical Substitute to ward off anything annoying from Marina. It looks like it was well planned, and absorbs a potentially crippling Scald. Laggers whips out his hyperactive arms from behind the doll, Crushing the poor little Lotad with his claws, weakining Lotad even further, but Marina fires off a Beam of Bubbles to continue to wear down the substitute. Vigoroth leaps high in the air, unleshing his inner monkey (ohwait), and slams down on Lotad with an Aerial Ace. Marina stores the powerful attack within her, and strikes back with a mighty Counter, only to destroy the last bits of the Substitute.

Good work Laggers. All out offense is the way to victory!

Crush Claw ~ Body Slam ~ Crush Claw
If she uses Counter, then use Yawn the first time, and Amnesia the second and third.

"Well, this may seem bleak, but... Oh, screw it! You'll be beaten to a bloody pulp anyway, Marina, so why not make the most of it? Plant a Leech Seed on your foe, then Scald him twice. If the first Scald burns, use Giga Drain instead of the second Scald."

Boring offense round begin! Laggers has secured a significant HP lead, but Marina managed to burn him, and Leech Seed is sapping away. Can traditional grass-type obnoxiousness bring victory?

"Well, that was... something. I still doubt you prospects of winning this, Lotad, but let's continue to harass with the best of them! Giga Drain your foe, then use Scald and finish with another Giga Drain. Let us show our foe what this 'grass-type obnoxiousness' can do!"

Laggers tries to stop the healing, but it's far too late! With so much HP draining happening, he cannot take out his foe fast enough before succumbing to grass-type obnoxiousness! Marina wins! (Have fun with those Slaking buffs btw, Doorknob!)

"Ohoho! I knew we would win from the start, Lotad! Good game to our opponent, but it seems that my training skills know no bounds! Now, let us see if Laharl has had such luck with his battles..."

Lotad gives a sigh of relief and exhaustion as her trainer continues her gloating.
