DQ: 48 Hours
Switch: KO
Recovers / chills: Infinite
Items: On
Abilities: All
Substitutions: Two
Arena: Type Changing Arena
Arena: Type Changing Arena
Field Type: All Types
Complexity: Simple
Formats: All Formats

Restrictions: All moves are allowed.

Description:
It's the standard arena, except somebody has implanted a strange device in the middle of the field! For the duration of the first round, this device is off. After the end of each round, though, it beeps and suddenly alters the elemental makeup of the arena, giving certain benefits to certain types and detriments to some other ones. Each time the makeup is altered, a random type is chosen. All attacking moves whose types hit the chosen type for super effective damage have 2 more BAP, while all attacking moves whose types hit the chosen type for not very effective or zero damage have 2 less BAP.

Summary: Certain types get buffed every round.

I choose you. Remember DW, no evolutions :/

EDIT: In the event that he does break this, I will evolve Machop :o

I'm an honourable man, and hence I shall keep my word and not evolve.

I shall proceed with Gastly, who will hold nothing(as will all my Pokemon really).

Perish Song~Sludge Bomb~Sludge Bomb
IF Machop uses Payback, replace the action after that with Disable(Payback)

The players have waited long enough, lets kick this one off.

Z'Skayr and his unpronounceable and untypable name kick us off with a horrible screeching song that spells impending doom for all the active Pokemon. Well at least it means I won't be needing to type that name out much longer. Lyoku and his almost as bad name respond to this by making sure his time in the battle counts. He unleashes some Supreme Payback that does frankly absurd damage. It also costs a mega amount of energy but given the short time he'll be around I guess that is little concern.

While the Machop has to take a moment to rest from such a physical exertion Gastly promptly Disables his ability to give Payback so as not to feel such a blow again. The round ends with L'Skayr hurling a Sludge Bomb at Lyoky for very nice damage while the fighting type chooses to release a red light that magically removes Gastly's immunity to the majority of his attacks.

Destiny Warrior looks to be in a bad position with those HP totals, but as the doomsday counter ticks down to 2 it seems that HP may be a meaningless statistic between these two.

With the threat of Perish Song looming large over everyone Lyoku goes into hyper offensive mode while Z'Skayr is all stall. The ghost kicks it off with a Hypnosis which of course hits dead on with Lyoku employing No Guard. Thankfully for the fighter its only a light nap.

Going right back to severly annoying tactics Gastly launches a Confuse Ray that manages to severly confuse even the sleeping Machop. And yep, sure enough as soon as Lyoku wakes up he promptly whacks himself in the face. Both decide to actually do some damage to close out the round as L'Skayr goes back to a Sludge Bomb while Lyoku blasts back with a somewhat uncharateritic Fire Blast. Nevertheless it hit hard. As the gem in the centre of the arena shifts to a new type the song all over the field is about to run out. Along with the combatants.

We all know what's going on here and L'Skayr is doing everything he can to stall all the way down to the end. He succeeds action 1 with some snappy Hypnosis but attempts to Confuse the Machop fail and Lyoku's Mega Paypack does just the right amount of damage to knock that annoying Gastly the heck out. It didn't really achieve much that the Song wasn't already going to, but at least Lyoku secured himself a KO to add to his pride. The two trainers remain on exact level pegging as the minimalist arena effect once again changes.

I think this order is right with the double KO, but am welcome to being corrected if this is not the case. It does seem a bit of a severe disadvantage for Engi to both send out and order first.

After a minor cuffuffle about who should throw the first Pokeball we end up with Tini the Aron facing off with Shogun the Scratchet. Shogun of course has quite a type advantage here and despite his Nature suiting the evolved form much better than the baby mon a critical on the first Brick Break ensures he hits hard. Tini responds with her own most powerful attack but unfortunately Shogun resists the Head Smash and this limits the final damage. It still takes an awful lot of energy to perform though.

Shogun knows that brute force is the best action here, but without the aid of luck Tini's strong defences mean that even a four times weakness can only be hit so hard. In what is probabaly a better idea than the previous the Aron responds with an accurate Iron Head that matches the damage of Head Smash for half the energy.

Then again if you had an impressive move like recoil-less Head Smash then you would use it too right? So Tini responds to a third consecutive Brick Break with another Head Smash. With the poor steel type highly weakened the gem in the middle of this arena turns very Dark and it looks like Shogun cracked a big old smile.

With the Gem backing him up Shogon mixes up his attack a little in an effort to save on energy. The Rock Smash does come with lesser baser power but the jaring blow manages to lower Tini's Defence. The little Steel type does what she can to land a blow on her way out with a Super Iron Head. The move indeed hits hard but a quick follow up of successive Brick Breaks secures the KO for Shogun!

The one who was to send out the Pokemon first after Perish Song's double KO was bound to lose since his/her opponent could counter their mon with ease, so oh well.

With the type advantages most definitely coming down to the order of send out Destiny Warrior is able to claim a short lived upper hand with Rath the Timburr. Shogon isn't quite done yet though and leaves a parting gift for the logger with a Yawn. Rath hits back with a Forceful Palm strike that he hoped might paralyze the Prankster but alas, no such luck. This allows Shogon to get off one more attack of his own and a critical hit ensures that the Brick Break does more than useful damage. That is of course until the future shaman is knocked out cold with its own pet move.

To top it all off the gem turns to solid Steel and gives Engineer something more to think about with Rath's now temporarily boosted STAB.

IF Murkrow uses Protect successfully, THEN replace that action with chill and slide actions down.
IF Murkrow uses Sky Attack, replace that action with Rock Slide and slide actions down.
