Totodile (GP 2/2)

[Overview]

Totodile is certainly an underrated threat in the Little Cup metagame. In addition to a high Attack stat, it also has access to both Dragon Dance and Swords Dance, which make it a great physical sweeper. Totodile has a decent movepool, highlighted by the likes of Waterfall, Aqua Jet, Ice Punch, and Return. Unfortunately, Totodile's defenses are horrendous, and it is easily taken down by any move it doesn't resist. All in all, Totodile is a very dangerous offensive threat, especially if it is given a chance to set up.

[SET]
name: Dragon Dance
move 1: Dragon Dance
move 2: Waterfall
move 3: Ice Punch
move 4: Crunch / Rock Slide
item: Life Orb
ability: Torrent
nature: Adamant
evs: 236 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Totodile has all the tools required to pull of a sweep: good Attack, decent Speed, and access to a boosting move in Dragon Dance. After just one Dragon Dance, Totodile reaches 21 Speed and outspeeds every non-boosted Pokemon in the LC metagame. Dragon Dance also increases Totodile's damage output considerably. Waterfall is Totodile's best STAB move as it is both powerful and accurate. It has a 20% flinch chance as well, which can prove game-changing. Ice Punch is essential as it hits Grass-type Pokemon, such as Shroomish, who would otherwise wall Totodile; it is also Totodile's strongest option against Ferroseed. Crunch hits Ghost-types, mainly Misdreavus and Frillish, who threaten Totodile with Will-O-Wisp. Alternatively, Rock Slide can be used to hit Shelmet, Mantyke, and other bulky Flying-type Pokemon for super effective damage.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The given nature and EV spread maximizes Totodile's Attack stat, and also enables it to hit 21 Speed after a Dragon Dance. Life Orb helps Totodile a lot by giving it extra power, but also reduces its longevity; therefore, a Lum Berry can be used to cure Totodile of any debilitating status and let it set up more easily. However, note that Life Orb recoil can help activate Torrent, and not many Pokemon will appreciate taking a Dragon Dance-, STAB, and Torrent-boosted Waterfall. Totodile can utilize coverage moves such as Aerial Ace and Brick Break; the former OHKOes Croagunk, while the latter hits Steel-types—mainly Ferroseed—for super effective damage. Aqua Tail is a more powerful but less accurate STAB move that can be used over Waterfall to OHKO Mienfoo and Misdreavus at +2, while Aqua Jet can be used over Waterfall to beat Murkrow after a boost, but the power difference between Waterfall and Aqua Jet is quite noticable.

Entry hazards are essential if you plan to pull off a sweep with Totodile; Choice Scarf Misdreavus and Magnemite are OHKO'd by Aqua Jet at +2 after a Stealth Rock switch in. In addition to providing both Spikes and Stealth Rock support, Ferroseed resists the Electric- and Grass-type attacks aimed at Totodile. Totodile is extremely frail; therefore, dual screen support can help it better tank priority moves. Bronzor provides both Stealth Rock and dual screen support and resists Grass-type attacks. Totodile can be quickly worn down by Life Orb recoil, which means that Wish support is always helpful. Natu can provide Wish support, and can also bounce back Stealth Rock and Spikes. If Totodile isn't carrying a Lum Berry, cleric support from Misdreavus and Chinchou is very useful as it enables Totodile to sweep with greater ease. Lastly, as Totodile is affected by all forms of entry hazards, Rapid Spin users make good teammates. Drilbur and Staryu are two very effective spinners, but beware as both share weaknesses with Totodile.

[SET]
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Aqua Jet
move 3: Ice Punch
move 4: Crunch / Waterfall
item: Life Orb
ability: Torrent
nature: Adamant
evs: 236 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

This set is a more offensive one; its main goal is to set up Swords Dance and plow through the opposing team. With just one Swords Dance, Totodile's Attack stat reaches an immense 34, which enables it to hit very hard. Aqua Jet is a STAB priority move that allows Totodile to hit faster Pokemon such as Mienfoo and hopefully KO them. Ice Punch's targets are mainly Grass- and Dragon-types, such as Shroomish and Dratini, who resist Totodile's STAB moves, as well as Ferroseed, who is hit for neutral damage. Crunch hits Ghost-types such as Misdreavus and Frillish, both of whom can cripple Totodile with Will-O-Wisp. Waterfall is a stronger STAB move that can be used alongside Aqua Jet to KO slower but bulkier Pokemon, such as Porygon and Omanyte. Waterfall also has a nifty chance to flinch the opponent's Pokemon, but this will not usually be of any use due to Totodile's low Speed stat.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The EV spread is simple: maximize Attack and Speed to boost Totodile's overall offensive prowess. In particular, an Adamant nature allows Totodile to OHKO Mienfoo with +2 Ice Punch. A Jolly nature isn't necessary as Aqua Jet bypasses Totodile's low Speed. As this set needs all the power it can get, Life Orb is the preferred item. Life Orb recoil also helps activate Torrent, which enables Totodile's Aqua Jet to take out just about anything that doesn't resist it. A Lum Berry is viable to heal Totodile of burn or paralysis, both of which completely cripple it. Aerial Ace can be used over Ice Punch to hit Croagunk, whom Totodile loses to most of the time. Protect prevents Fake Out from Pokemon such as Mienfoo, Croagunk, and the like, while Substitute blocks status and is a good scouting move in general. Superpower and Brick Break are alternatives over Ice Punch; both KO Ferroseed at +2.

This set requires a lot of support in order to pull off a sweep. Entry hazard support is vital as they help Totodile nab several important KOs, . Ferroseed and Dwebble can provide both Spikes and Stealth Rock support; the former also has good defensive synergy with Totodile. As Totodile is quite slow and frail, it appreciates dual screens support; Bronzor can provide this, as well as set up Stealth Rock. As both paralysis and burn completely cripple Totodile, cleric support from the likes of Chinchou and Misdreavus is very useful. Life Orb and entry hazards wear Totodile down very quickly, and make Wish support almost a necessity. Natu can set up Wish and also bounce back entry hazards and status moves with Magic Bounce. Finally, Rapid Spin support provided by Staryu and Drilbur can prevent Totodile from taking damage upon every switch-in.

[Other Options]

Totodile's poor defensive stats mean it should generally stick to offensive sets. It can utilize a Choice Band for immediate power, but the listed sets are much more effective. Rain Dance can boost Aqua Jet, but Totodile is too frail to set it up reliably. Eviolite can fix Totodile's terrible defenses to an extent, but it still won't be able to take many hits. A specially based Life Orb set is viable as Totodile has access to moves such as Hydro Pump, Surf, Ice Beam, and Hidden Power Electric, but other Water-types, such as Chinchou, can run the set more effectively as they have a higher Special Attack stat. Toxic can be used to cripple walls, but Totodile cannot dream of Toxic stalling its opponents. A Counter + Focus Sash set can take down physical attackers, but it can only be used once, and needs Rapid Spin support to be effective.

[Checks and Counters]

Totodile is not very hard to counter, mainly because it possesses horrible defenses and does not have the best defensive typing for the LC metagame. Ferroseed is arguably the best counter to Totodile; it resists Totodile's STAB moves and can OHKO Totodile with Bullet Seed, or simply stall out Totodile with a combination of Leech Seed and Protect. Mantyke can take a hit from Totodile and KO it with Hidden Power Flying or Hidden Power Electric. Chinchou can handle Totodile very well, even though it takes a lot of damage from +2 Return. Choice Scarf Chinchou can outspeed even +1 Totodile, resists Aqua Jet, and can OHKO Totodile with STAB Thunderbolt. Croagunk can quickly eliminate Totodile with a combination of Fake Out and either Vacuum Wave or Sucker Punch, KOing it before it gets a chance to move. Thanks to its ability Dry Skin, Croagunk is an excellent switch-in to Totodile. Choice Scarf Snover can switch into Totodile's STAB moves and KO it with Giga Drain, thus healing most of the damage it might have taken from Totodile. Both Eviolite and Choice Scarf Mienfoo can take a +2 Aqua Jet and OHKO Totodile with Hi Jump Kick. Choice Scarf Electric-types can outspeed Totodile and OHKO it with a STAB move, but they generally aren't good switch-ins to Totodile. Priority moves often easily take Totodile out due to its low defenses. Omanyte can take any resisted hit Totodile throws at it, even if it is at +2, and can OHKO Totodile with Hidden Power Rock. It should be noted that Omanyte can survive one Waterfall.

Dragon Dance should be the first set imo. Totodoile was cool for grabbing an SD an taking out Gligar with a Aqua Jet but without Gligar I feel Ddance is more viable from experience :D

First, remove all of the unnecessary spacing; it's annoying.

I agree with Sir; switch the order of the two sets. Dragon Dance is just better this metagame because shit so fast!!!!!!!!!!!!! Totodile just sucks though so take that with a grain of salt.

For that set:

AC Aqua Jet to beat Murkrow

Also, OO isn't really for the majority of the things you put. The moves Aerial Ace, Brick Break, Aqua Tail, Dragon Claw, Substitute, etc and Lum Berry can all be included in the AC of specific sets. These are primarily coverage options (I would remove the Dragon Claw mention entirely as it's some balls), so you can talk about them during the AC of the Dragon Dance set.

Include the same for the AC of the Swords Dance set. Also, include Protect in both to dodge Fake Out.

Other than that, the sets look good.

Talk about how Totodile doesn't really have many other options...as it doesn't. Talk about Rain Dance, Eviolite, Counter (rofl), and Toxic in OO I guess. Oh, and mention a Life Orb special set in OO too.

Do that, and QC 1/2.

This is ready for GP checks
(didn't get to read through it much like I do to other analysis due to lack of time, but it shouldn't be too bad)
I know, I suck at Overviews.

Totodile's defences aren't actually that bad, it's defence is actually the same (bar for 4 extra ev points) as his attack. A bulky set with eviolite is actually very viable in my experience. Also, I'd probably put superpower somewhere as smashing ferroseed is really useful so it's a viable option over crunch if ferroseed is more of a problem than slowpoke or frillish. EQ does a similar thing but lets you get around croagunk and chinchou and still has great synergy with ice punch as well as letting you hit ferroseed at least neutrally.

An Adamant nature further boosts Totodile's Attack, which allows it to hit hard. (explain what KOes an Adamant nature gets over a Jolly one imo) As Totodile's HP decreases every turn with Life Orb, Torrent has a high chance of activating;, and not many Pokemon will appreciate taking a +1, STABed, Torrent-boosted Waterfall. Totodile can utilize coverage moves such as Aerial Ace to OHKO Croagunk, (add comma) and Brick Break to hit Steel-types, mainly Ferroseed, for super effective damage. Aqua Tail is a more powerful, but less accurate STAB move that can be used over Waterfall. Aqua Jet can be used on this set to beat Murkrow when Totodile is at +1 Speed or higher.

Entry hazards are essential if you plan to pull off a sweep with Totodile. Ferroseed can provide both Spikes and Stealth Rock support, and resists the Electric- and Grass-type attacks aimed at Totodile. Because Totodile is so extremely frail defensively, and dual screen support can help it take priority moves a little bit better<remove space>. Bronzor provides both, (remove comma) Stealth Rock and dual screen support and resists Grass-type attacks. Totodile is worn down by Life Orb's recoil, which means that Wish support is always helpful. Natu can provide Wish support and can also bounce back Stealth Rock and Spikes. If Totodile isn't carrying a Lum Berry, Heal Bell support can be is very useful as it enables it to sweep with greater ease. Misdreavus and Chinchou can provide Heal Bell support. Lastly, as Totodile is affected by all forms of entry hazards, Rapid Spin users become good teammates. Drillbur and Staryu are two very effective Rapid Spin users, although both share weaknesses with Totodile.

nature: Adamant

[SET COMMENTS]

This set is a more offensive one; its main goal is to set up Swords Dance and plow through the opposing team. With just one Swords Dance, Totodile's Attack stat reaches 34, which makes it very powerful enables it to hit very hard (changed it to remove confusion as to what became very powerful). Aqua Jet is a STAB priority move that allows Totodile to hit faster Pokemon such as Mienfoo and hopefully KO it them. Ice Punch is mainly used for Grass- and Dragon-types, such as Shroomish and Dratini, who resist Totodile's STAB moves; it should be noted that Ferroseed, who otherwise resists all of Totodile's moves, is hit neutrally by Ice Punch. Crunch hits Ghost-types such as Misdreavus and Frillish, both of which can cripple Totodile with Will-O-Wisp. Waterfall is a stronger STAB move that can be used alongside Aqua Jet to hit slower but bulkier Pokemon such as Porygon and Omanyte. Waterfall also has a nifty chance to flinch the opponent's Pokemon; however, this will not usually be of any use due to Totodile's low Speed stat.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The EV spread used is simple: maximum Attack, maximum Speed to boost Totodile's overall offensive prowess. Seen as this set needs all the power it can get, Life Orb is the preferred item. An Adamant nature is used to further increase Totodile's Attack stat. The reason to why Jolly isn't needed in this set is because Totodile utilizes Aqua Jet A Jolly nature isn't necessary as Aqua Jet ignores Totodile's low Speed. Torrent has a good chance of getting activated when Life Orb is used, as Life Orb decreases Totodile's HP, and, when it does, Totodile's Aqua Jet will take out almost anything that doesn't resist it. A Lum Berry can be used over Life Orb to heal burn or paralysis; both of them which completely cripple Totodile. Aerial Ace can be used over Ice Punch to hit Croagunk, a Pokemon that Totodile loses to most of the time. Protect can be used to prevent a Fake Out from Pokemon such as Mienfoo and Croagunk. Substitute can be used to block status and is a good scouting move in general. Superpower and Brick Break can be used over Ice Punch to KO Ferroseed at +2.

This set requires a lot of support in order to pull of a sweep. Stealth Rock and Spikes support is vital; in order to ensure a sweep, entry hazards are essential as they enable turn a lot of 2HKOes into OHKOes (give examples? The bit I removed is self-evident). Ferroseed can provide both Spikes and Stealth Rock support and also has a good defensive synergy with Totodile. Dwebble can also set up both Spikes and Stealth Rock but doesn't resist any of Totodile's weaknesses. Dual screen support is very useful as well, as Totodile is quite slow and frail. Bronzor can provide dual screen support and can also set up Stealth Rock. As both paralysis and burn completely cripple Totodile, Heal Bell support from the likes of Chinchou and Misdreavus can be is very useful. As Life Orb and entry hazards wears Totodile down very quickly, Wish support is needed almost a necessity. Natu can set up Wish and also bounce back entry hazards and status moves with Magic Bounce. Finally, Rapid Spin support provided by Staryu or Drillbur can prevent Totodile from taking damage upon every switch in.

[Other Options]

Apart from some coverage moves, Totodile doesn't have much to utilize because of its defensive stats. A Choice Band set can be used alongside Aqua Jet for immediate power, but the other sets are much more effective (why?). Rain Dance can be used to get a 50%- take advantage of a boosted Aqua Jet to hit opponents with (what else are you going to be doing with Aqua Jet :p), but Totodile is too frail to set it up more than once up reliably. Eviolite can be used to fix Totodile's terrible defenses to some an extent, but it still won't be able to take many hits. A special set with Life Orb can be used as Totodile has access to specially oriented moves such as Hydro Pump, Surf, Ice Beam, and Hidden Power Electric. Toxic can be used to cripple defensive walls in the tier, but Totodile cannot even dream of Toxic-stalling opponents. Counter + and Focus Sash can be used to take down physical attackers, but it can only be used once, (add comma) and Totodile needs Rapid Spin support to pull it off effectively.

[Checks and Counters]

Totodile is not very hard to counter, mainly because it possesses horrible defenses and does not have a good defensive typing (since when is Water a bad defensive typing? Jellicent, Vaporeon, Rotom-W, Gastrodon, Tentacruel to name but a few...). Ferroseed is arguably the best counter to Totodile; it resists Totodile's STAB moves and can OHKO Totodile with Bullet Seed. Ferroseed can also simply stall out Totodile with a combination of Leech Seed and Protect. Manytke Mantyke can take a hit from Totodile and KO it with Hidden Power Flying or Hidden Power Electric. Chinchou, other than the fact that it takes a lot of damage from a +2 Return, can handle Totodile very well, even though it takes a lot of damage from a +2 Return. Choice Scarf Chinchou can outspeed Totodile, even if it is as +1, resits resists Aqua Jet, and can OHKO Totodile with a STAB Thunderbolt. Croagunk can quickly KO Totodile by flinching it with Fake Out and then KOing it with Vacuum Wave or Sucker Punch before it gets a chance to move. Thanks to its ability Dry Skin, Croagunk is an excellent switch-in to Totodile. Choice Scarf Snover can switch into Totodile's STAB moves and KO it with Giga Drain, therefore, thus healing most of the damage it loses to might have taken from Totodile. Eviolite or and Choice Scarf Mienfoo can take a +2 Aqua Jet and can OHKO Totodile with Hi Jump Kick. Choice Scarf Electric-types, although even though they aren't good switch-ins to Totodile, can outspeed Totodile and OHKO it with a STAB move. Priority moves is an easy way to often take out Totodile out with ease due to its low defenses. Omanyte can take any hit Totodile throws at it, even if its it is at +2, and can OHKO Totodile Hidden Power Rock (really?). It should be noted that Omanyte will lose if it switches in to a non-resisted move it doesn't resist, such as Waterfall or Ice Punch.

[Overview]

Totodile is certainly an underrated threat in the Little Cup metagame. It possesses a high Attack stat which allows it to play the role of physical sweeper effectively. It also has access to both Dragon Dance and Swords Dance, which make pulling off a sweep a lot easier. Totodile has a decent movepool, highlighted by Waterfall, Aqua Jet, Ice Punch, Return, amongst others. Unfortunately, Totodile's defenses are horrendous, which makes it prone to almost any move it doesn't resist. All in all, Totodile is a very dangerous offensive threat, especially if it is given a chance to set up.

Dragon Dance also increases Totodile's offensive damage output considerably. Waterfall is the best option for a STAB move on Totodile as it is both, powerful and accurate. Waterfall has a 20% chance to flinch the opponent as well, which can be absolutely game changing. Ice Punch is essential as it hits Grass-type Pokemon such as Shroomish who would otherwise wall Totodile. Ice Punch also hits Ferroseed for neutral damage. Ferroseed resists Totodile's other moves and therefore Totodile needs a way to finish it off when it is at relatively low health, and neither Waterfall nor Totodile's coverage moves can do so reliably. Crunch hits Ghost-types, mainly Misdreavus and Frillish, two Pokemon that threaten Totodile with Will-O-Wisp, but Rock Slide can be used to hit Shelmet, Mantyke, and other bulky Flying-type Pokemon for super effective damage.

Drillbur and Staryu are two very effective Rapid Spin users, althoughspinners, but beware as both share weaknesses with Totodile.

Ice Punch is mainly used for's targets are mainly Grass- and Dragon-types, such as Shroomish and Dratini, who resist Totodile's STAB moves; it should be noted that Ferroseed, who otherwise resists all of Totodile's moves, is hit neutrally by Ice Punch, as well as Ferroseed, who is hit for neutral damage. Crunch hits Ghost-types such as Misdreavus and Frillish, both of whichom can cripple Totodile with Will-O-Wisp. Waterfall is a stronger STAB move that can be used alongside Aqua Jet to hitKO slower but bulkier Pokemon, such as Porygon and Omanyte. Waterfall also has a nifty chance to flinch the opponent's Pokemon; however,, but this will not usually be of any use due to Totodile's low Speed stat.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The EV spread is simple: maximumize Attack, maximum and Speed to boost Totodile's overall offensive prowess. Seen as this set needs all the power it can get, Life Orb is the preferred item. An Adamant nature is used to further increase Totodile's Attack stat andIn particular, an Adamant nature allows Totodile to OHKO Mienfoo with +2 Ice Punch at +2. A Jolly nature isn't necessary as Aqua Jet ignorbypasses Totodile's low Speed. Torrent has a good chance of getting activated when Life Orb is used, as Life Orb decreases Totodile's HP, and, when it doAs this set needs all the power it can get, Life Orb is the preferred item. Life Orb recoil also helps activate Torrent, which enables, Totodile's Aqua Jet willto take out almosjust about anything that doesn't resist it. A Lum Berry can be used over Life Orb to healis viable to heal Totodile of burn or paralysis;, both of which completely cripple Totodileit. Aerial Ace can be used over Ice Punch to hit Croagunk, a Pokemon thatwhom Totodile loses to most of the time. Protect can be used to prevent as Fake Out from Pokemon such as Mienfoo, Croagunk, and the like., while Substitute can be used to blocks status and is a good scouting move in general. Superpower and Brick Break can be usedare alternatives over Ice Punch to; both KO Ferroseed at +2.

This set requires a lot of support in order to pull off a sweep. Stealth Rock and Spikes support is vital as they enable turn a lot of 2HKOes into OHKOes. FerroseedEntry hazard support is vital as they help Totodile nab several important KOs, (such as?). Ferroseed and Dwebble can provide both Spikes and Stealth Rock support and; the former also has good defensive synergy with Totodile. Dwebble can also set up both Spikes and Stealth Rock but doesn't resist any of Totodile's weaknesses. DAs Totodile is quite slow and frail, it appreciates dual screens support is very useful as well, as Totodile is quite slow and frail. Bronzor can provide dual screen support and can also; Bronzor can provide this, as well as set up Stealth Rock. As both paralysis and burn completely cripple Totodile, Heal Bellcleric support from the likes of Chinchou and Misdreavus is very useful. As Life Orb and entry hazards wear Totodile down very quickly, and make Wish support is almost a necessity. Natu can set up Wish and also bounce back entry hazards and status moves with Magic Bounce. Finally, Rapid Spin support provided by Staryu orand Drillbur can prevent Totodile from taking damage upon every switch -in.

[Other Options]

Apart from some coverage moves, Totodile doesn't have much to utilize because of its deTotodile's poor defensive stats mean it should generally stick to offensive staets. A Choice Band set can be used alongside Aqua JetIt can utilize a Choice Band for immediate power, but the otherlisted sets are much more effective. Rain Dance can be used to take advantage of a boosted Aqua Jet, but Totodile is too frail to set it up up reliably. Eviolite can be used to fix Totodile's terrible defenses to an extent, but it still won't be able to take many hits. A special set with Life Orb can be usedly based Life Orb set is viable as Totodile has access to specially oriented moves such as Hydro Pump, Surf, Ice Beam, and Hidden Power Electric (but why is it inferior?). Toxic can be used to cripple defensive walls in the tierwalls, but Totodile cannot even dream of Toxic- stalling its opponents. A Counter and+ Focus Sash can be used toset can take down physical attackers, but it can only be used once, and Totodile needs Rapid Spin support to pull it offbe effectively.

[Checks and Counters]

Totodile is not very hard to counter, mainly because it possesses horrible defenses and does not have a good defensive typing (just a note that water is generally considered a great defensive typing!). Ferroseed is arguably the best counter to Totodile; it resists Totodile's STAB moves and can OHKO Totodile with Bullet Seed. Ferroseed can also, or simply stall out Totodile with a combination of Leech Seed and Protect. Mantyke can take a hit from Totodile and KO it with Hidden Power Flying or Hidden Power Electric. Chinchou can handle Totodile very well, even though it takes a lot of damage from a +2 Return. Choice Scarf Chinchou can outspeed even +1 Totodile, even if it is as +1, resists Aqua Jet, and can OHKO Totodile with STAB Thunderbolt. Croagunk can quickly KO Totodile by flinching it with Fake Out and then KOing it weliminate Totodile with a combination of Fake Out and either Vacuum Wave or Sucker Punch, KOing it before it gets a chance to move. Thanks to its ability Dry Skin, Croagunk is an excellent switch-in to Totodile. Choice Scarf Snover can switch into Totodile's STAB moves and KO it with Giga Drain, thus healing most of the damage it might have taken from Totodile. Both Eviolite and Choice Scarf Mienfoo can take a +2 Aqua Jet and can OHKO Totodile with Hi Jump Kick. Choice Scarf Electric-types, even though they aren't good switch-ins to Totodile, can outspeed Totodile and OHKO it with a STAB mov can outspeed Totodile and OHKO it with a STAB move, but they generally aren't good switch-ins to Totodile. Priority moves often easily take Totodile out with ease due to its low defenses. Omanyte can take any hit Totodile throws at it, even if it is at +2, and can OHKO Totodile with Hidden Power Rock. It should be noted that Omanyte will lose if it switches in to an attack it doesn't resist, such as Waterfall or Ice Punch.

(maybe i shouldn't be GPing anything at 2am, but this doesn't quite make sense to me! first you say it can switch into any hit, then you say it can only switch into resisted moves so ?!)

(also, i'd recommend you split this into two paragraphs, the first consisting of pokemon that can take a hit and hit back, and the second of pokemon that can only revenge kill, imo it'd make more logical sense that way and be easier to follow.)

Aqua Tail is a more powerful but less accurate STAB move that can be used over Waterfall (does it gain any notable KOs?), while Aqua Jet can (replace what move?) to beat Murkrow after a boost.

Entry hazards are essential if you plan to pull off a sweep with Totodile (why? notable KOs?).
