The Arena: Agni Kai- the duel of fire
While not neccessarily all about fire, this arena invokes the true power of a Pokemon. The arena is the fire nation palace courtyard. Grass covers it, and a lone tree grows next to a boulder by a small pond filled with turtledoves. As such, all moves are usable, however, the elements are at their strongest. It is 100 years since the fateful duel between Zuko and Azula, and Sozin's Comet once again roars over the planet, casting the arena in an eerie red light, doubling the base attack power of Fire and Lightning type attacks. However, this time is very different from the last, as Sozin's Comet arrive during a full moon, doubling the base attack power of all water and ice type moves. It seems as if all the elements are in a rage, and a terrible wind shoots across the arena, doubling the base attack power of all flying type and wind moves. (Heat Wave's boosts do not stack) As the trainers prepare to battle, the ground shifts and becomes loose from a mighty earthquake, and all Ground, Rock, and steel type attacks have their base attack power doubled. It seems a day of true chaos within the elements.
Summary:
-All attacks usable
-The BAP of all Fire, Lightning, Water, Ice, Air, Rock, Ground, Steel type moves, along with wind based moves, is doubled.
-Heat Wave boosts do not stack
Who cares to accept my Kai?

I'll accept, though I haven't watched legend of korra (which I assume this is) and my pokemon are gonna get raped by this arena.

Unown
Nature: Modest (+SpA, -Atk)
Type: Psychic
Psychic: Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks

Abilities:
Levitate (Trait): This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit. Levitate Pokemon will retain the Levitate trait when they use Skill Swap on an enemy, and will steal the opponent's ability (the user can specify if they want a foe or ally to gain Levitate from a Skill Swap.) If a Pokemon with Levitate uses Role Play, they will copy the opponent's abilities and retain Levitate

I'm in a rush, and can't post flavor or crap yet. Complications, first pokemon. Then Aweshucks sends out his first mon and orders, then Complications orders, yada yada. Let's do it!

I'll go the kitteh route.

Will-o-Wisp ~ Superpower ~ Earthquake

Also, no offense, but that has got to be the ugliest bisharp I've ever seen...

... It's the same thing with different colors...

Bah I knew this would be a matchup all about outsmarting my opponent...
Stealth Rock-Metal Burst-Metal Burst

I'm gonna see if I can ref this entire 2v2 singles without using a terrible pun involving either of your user names. Also, I've never watched a full episode of any Avatar series, so I don't even know what a kai is (I assume its a fight of some kind). So flavor will completely ignore all that, I think, and focus on the pokemon interacting with each other. I may include the cabbage guy, though.

Alright, let's get this match started! Complications sends out his signature pokemon, an oddly-colored Bisharp named Optimus. Aweshucks responds with a Steel-type of his own, a Kitsunoh who lacks a nickname, but is constantly referred to as a "kitteh." Will this Cartman-like nickname affect Kitsunoh's ability to battle? Will Optimus' self-loathing from being colored differently from every other Bisharp ever cause his cutting attacks to aim at himself? Let's find out!!

Kitsunoh starts things off by doing what every Ghost does when facing any Guts-less opponent, anywhere, ever, and firing a Will-O-Wisp at Optimus. It is a smart move, as it severely cuts down on Optimus' offensive abilities. Optimus does something unusual for a match with no switching, and opts to set up Stealth Rocks, just waiting around the edges of the arena, ready to catch Aweshucks' next pokemon to enter the match.

Kitsunoh seems to have had enough with all this not attacking each other business, as have I, and starts glowing with strength, whatever that means. That is the description in the DAT. I seriously have no clue what the hell that means. Like, is the mon going Super Saiyan? Anyway, Kitsunoh smacks into Optimus with Superpower-like strength, although she exhausted herself in the process, leaving herself vulnerable. What Kit didn't notice was her attack hit a glowing orb in front of Optimus, and the strange Metal orb Burst upon imact, dealing even greater damage back to Kitsunoh!! Looks like Complications has found a way around that burn!

Kitsunoh, reeling from the last action, jumps high into the air, clearly ready to strike the ground to unleash an Earthquake for some impressive damage. Optimus has enough time before the impact to ready another strange orb, and just like last time, it explodes in a Metal Burst to make Kitsunoh regret her choice of strategy.

Okay, now that Complications is down to his last pokemon, let's see how things play out from here!! Soundwave the Starmie takes the field for Complications, ready to finish what Optimus started, even though Soundwave was a Decepticon, and Optimus is clearly an Autobot. Very impressive, Complications.

This arena is clearly built with a mon like Soundwave in mind, as it unleashes an incredibly devastating Hydro Pump, I mean seriously, this arena allows some insane damage at no extra cost. You know what just happened? A 24 BAP move for 7 Energy. 7 Energy. Kitsunoh takes the hit, although he's on his last legs. With what may be his final act, he crawls slowly towards Soundwave, finding what is hopefully Soundwave's ear, leaning into it, and whispering "fuck you" to Soundwave. An interesting Taunt, to say the least. Soundwave is now so infuriated, that he will only be using attacking moves for a while.

That might have been a costly mistake for Kitsunoh, as Soundwave summons a Tsunami-size tidal wave, and rides that killer Surf, right down on Kitsunoh's head. The blast is so intense that Kitsunoh is KO'ed!!

anyway, I vm'd complications when we started this match to ask about the items, and he said it was cool.

also, goddamn it I thought kitsunoh was faster

Alright, I'll give Kitsunoh an extra MC at the end of the match, and I fixed that Stealth Rock business. Also, Starmie outspeeds Kitsunoh. You both have +Spe natures, and Starmie has 5 more base speed before the boost. Timid Starmie will always outspeed Kitsunoh without stat boosts/drops.

Oh yeah lol I got it mixd up with Gengar from my tourney battle... Well... Here we go!

1. No, I did not make this arena for Starmie (Nidoking would be even better in it)
2. You all are just jealous that I united the Transformers ;P

Okay, the final two pokemon are on the field, as Aweshucks sends out his Unown X to battle Soundwave the Starmie. And as soon as Unown takes the field, the Stealth Rocks Optimus set up come flying from everywhere to smash into Unown, taking a chunk of health off the poor letter. It didn't even get a chance to defend itself!!! How will this affect the battle?

Soundwave keeps up the crazy offensive pressure by firing another Hydro Pump at Unown, doing absurd damage. And yeah, I agree. Nido would be absolutely terrifying here. But Soundwave is equally horrifying, as its pumping out damage right now. Unown responds by also using the boosting powers of the arena with a Hidden Power Ground, coating Soundwave in muck. Let's see where this goes from here!

Soundwave feels a need to clean itself, so it summons yet another tidal wave, and lets itself and Unown get washed away in the Surf. Soundwave was prepared, Unown was not. I guess such an offense was previously unown to it. Yeah, that was bad. I refuse to apologize, though. In fact, I wonder if you'll even read this, or jump straight to the calcs and the bit at the end once you see how this round turns out. Anyway, I'm getting distracted. Unown uses the one weakness Soundwave has that this arena promotes, and blasts the star with Hidden Power Electric, taking advantage of the muck-free and soaking wet Starmie.

Soundwave doesn't look like its used to getting hit that hard. I can't blame it, I'm not used to calcing so many moves in one round pumping out this kind of damage. Speaking of pumping, Soundwave retaliates with yet another Hydro Pump, which does enough to put down the hearty little letter for good. Unown has been KO'ed!!!

That means that Aweshucks is out of usable pokemon, Complications wins!
