Gooooooooooood evening, ladies and gentlemen! It's another lovely night here at ASB arena, and tonight's battle looks to be a shmuppy one, because it pits SimonSays against a newcomer named Moai! I wonder if there'll be any laser rings flying around in this battle?

Gradius jokes aside, it looks like Simon goes off to a pretty solid start. Although Moai's Eevee, Claire, gets the first move by spattering Toxic goo on Domino the Cubone, he and his Machop partner...HEY! How do you pronounce that?! King of Spades?! Just King, huh?! Alright, then!...King band together to wreck Moai in a deadly synchronized Earthquake! Man, that's gotta hurt! Anyway, despite being the last to move, Fleur the Trapinch manages to whip up a bit of mischief by sucking King into a Sand Tomb!

Even though Fleur must hold fast for Sand Tomb to keep in effect, she still manages to score a Quick Attack on King without losing her focus. Claire, on the other hand, continues setting up by letting out a big fat Yawn in Domino's face, making him drowsy as all hell. Hoping to break the sand trap, King delivers a frosty Ice Punch to Fleur's jaw, but it isn't enough to stop the vortex. A Rock Slide from Domino sure as hell was, though.

Fleur took a bit of beating there, so Claire attempts to keep her partner alive a little longer by Protecting her. It pays off, as King's second Ice Punch and a Bonemerang from his Cubone companion are both rendered moot. What's more, Fleur gives King a Bug Bite, jacking King's Oran berry and using it for herself!

Simon leads in terms of damage, but this could turn around easily. What'll happen next? Find out after the break! *Konami pausing noise*

From what I understand of it, synchroquaking only allows you to not hit your allies with it. I do believe it is still calculated as two seperate attacks. I'm not sure if this helps me or hurts me, but either way, I think it is correct.

Round 2: Shoot him in the head!

We're back, folks, and it's looking kinda bad for Moai. While Claire makes a Wish and Fleur tries to lock King into another Sand Tomb, Simon's duo causes them more trouble with another Synchroquake! However, Domino falls asleep afterwards, that yawn finally getting to him.

As the Cubone is out of commission for the time being, Claire attempts to avoid any oncoming damage by Protecting herself...and proves to be completely pointless, as King and Fleur are both charging combo attacks at one another. The Machop gets the initiative, doubling an Ice punch to strike the Trapinch down with a Glacial Fist!

In a last ditch effort to end the round alive, Claire sets up a weak Substitute that ultimately gets destroyed by a Bonemerang from the now-awakened Domino, however, the plan works nonetheless, as King is too tired to do anything at the moment.

First blood goes to SimonSays, and second blood is likely to follow. Can Moai find a way out of this? Stay tuned!

Round 4: You need some practice!

We're back, and Simon has sent out his last pokemon - a shiny Vulpix named Celest! Ryn starts the round by letting loose that Bide energy, completely destroying King! However, Celest doesn't let the Machop's defeat go unavenged - she lets loose a cage of flames, trapping Moai's Snorunt in a Fire Spin! However, this doesn't last for long, as Celest has to lift the attack to let loose a Flamethrower - and it burns Ryn, too! This would end up deciding the match, as while the Snorunt managed to get in a Headbutt, she was immediately done in afterward by the flamethrower's aftermath.

Both sides fought long and hard, but in the end, SimonSays has come out on top! Let's give both warriors a hand, folks! Thank you, and goodnight!
