Second RMT, First here on Smogon, I'll do my best
Alrighty guys, this is a team I put together a couple months ago and I'm looking for tips on how to update it for the new B/W 2 game without having to do all the testing on my own(enough time was spent on testing the first time around, trust me). As you could have guessed from the title I'm attempting to use no OU pokemon on my OU team, though borderline 'mons would be acceptable in suggestions. I also tend to lean towards an offensive playstyle so please keep that in mind as well.
When I last played consistently with this team I got to about a 1350 rating on the PO server before plateauing. I have played some with it on PS, and am currently 5-0 with a 1785 rating(whatever that means). I'd like to be able to take the next step with you guys's help and take the team to the top.
The inspiration for the team, when I saw my beloved Mew languishing in UU I could hardly stand it. He can just do so much, whether you need a wall or a wallbreaker he's your man.
Since I still believe in having a dedicated lead next up I added an oldtime favourite of mine in Aerodactyl.
Now that I had a lead in Aerodactyl and pure awesomeness in Mew I decided I needed a good solid mixed sweeper, and because I love speed I went with Sharpedo.
After facing one on the ladder I decided Sableye was pretty much the most annoying thing in existence and promptly added one to the team.
After much testing I realized I was still in need of something that could hit brutally hard right off the bat, and I found exactly what I was looking for in Galvantula's Thunder. With no real dedicated walls as of yet I decided I needed something who could withstand a multitude of hits from both sides and a friend of mine said Porygon2 was practically unkillable so got the job he did.
Mew @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Spd
Careful Nature
- Bulk Up
- Zen Headbutt
- Sucker Punch
- Drain PunchBecause Mew is so versatile and it's so easy to bluff so many different sets I decided to go with a setup version. I choose Bulk Up because I wanted him to have some real staying power, while straying away from the more common special attacking Mew to throw people off guard. Zen Headbutt/Sucker Punch/Drain Punch have given me solid coverage so far, I get STAB/Priority/and healing respectively and each has proven very valuable.
The EVs are currently kind of standard, if anyone knows any way to speed creep a bit while not giving up too much that'd be great.
Aerodactyl @ Focus Sash
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Taunt
- Stealth RockAs my lead I gave Aerodactyl a focus sash to ensure he gets SR up nearly 100% of the time. Edgequake coverage coming off his solid attack does great, and taunt is to shut down other hazard setters. I usually use him as a suicide style lead, hitting until he goes down.
EVs are simple, maximize speed/attack.
Sableye @ Leftovers
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SDef
Calm Nature
- Recover
- Will-O-Wisp
- Taunt
- Confuse Ray
Sharpedo @ Life Orb
Trait: Speed Boost
EVs: 148 Atk / 252 SAtk / 108 Spd
Rash Nature
- Protect
- Crunch
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
This image is awesome, and got two of my team members, so that's pretty awesome too. Like I said earlier Sableye is pretty much the most annoying thing in existence, crippling attackers, taunting hazard setters, staying healthy, and confusing everybody.
If I remember correctly the Sharpedo set is ripped directly from onsite, and it's pretty much perfect, Protect to grab a speed boost and then go to town with his great attacking stabs and Ice Beam for all those Dragons/Genies.
Galvantula @ Life Orb
Trait: Compoundeyes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Thunder
- Bug Buzz
- Energy Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]Galvantula is my hardest hitting Special Attacker, and he does his job very well. He's fast, hits hard, and has good coverage. I'm still amazed at how few people know about Compoundeyes and are surprised when they get swept with Thunders from the heavens.
EVs for speed/special attack.
Porygon2 @ Eviolite
Trait: Trace
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 SDef
Bold Nature
- Recover
- Discharge
- Ice Beam
- Thunder WaveProbably the weakest link on my team I'm not really sure what to do with my Porygon2, I was just looking for a solid all around wall and he's fine in that respect, but it just doesn't seem like he does anything other than take hits and get the occasional paralysis. The paralysis is nice but it feels like I don't get it near enough. I'd be looking to replace him, or at least look into a different moveset.

I'm only going to list 'mons actually on the team, many others were tested
