Fraxure

[Overview]
- Fraxure has waited so long for BW2 to come out, now watch it become the Haxorus of RU
-It has a very powerful STAB outrage.
-It's fairly slow but after a Dragon Dance or two it can compete
- Supwerpower is just a blessing for it, as it can now hit the Steels that used to wall it
- After a DD, it can even 2HKO Steelix, an OHKO after 2 DDs
- As such, Life Orb NEEDS to be the main item
- However, due to low Speed, it is now suspectable to revenge killing
- Low Defenses don't help either, especially when trying to set up DDs
- However, if you underestimate Fraxure, you'll be sorry. VERY SORRY

[SET]
name: Dragon Dance
move 1: Dragon Dance
move 2: Outrage
move 3: Low Kick
move 4: Aqua Tail / Dragon Claw
item: Life Orb / Evoilite
ability: Mold Breaker
nature: Adamant / Jolly
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
- Life Orb + DD = OMFG HOW DO I STOP THIS THING!!!!!
-It has the strongest Outrage in the tier after a Dragon Dance
-There are only 12 Pokemon in NU/RU that resist Outrage, they're not all defensive.
- Low Kick gets all those Steels that tried to stop it before, such as Steelix
- Aqua Tail gets all those Ground / Fire / and Rock types without using Outrage
- However, Dragon Claw is STAB as well, and it can nail Pokemon without using Outrage

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
-Max Attack and Speed give it firepower and helps it outrun positive Galvantula after a boost
-You can invest more into HP for a bulky Fraxure, but it's inferior to the likes of Dragonair.
-Life Orb +1 Outrage guarantees a 2HKO on Tangrowth, Cofagrigus, and Qwilfish (even after intimidate)
-Lum Berry can be used to avoid burns or paralysis
- Evolite can be used for more bulk, making it easier to set up DDs
- Dual Chop can break Substitutes and hit opponents.
- Substitute can be used in the last slot if using Eviolite as you can set up on most Tangrowth, as well as block status from Pokemon such as Uxie, Lanturn, etc
- Taunt can be used to break down walls such as Uxie
- Superpower can be used over Low Kick, as it allows you to hit Ferroseed
- Entry hazards from the likes of Ferroseed/Scolipede/Crustle help weaken Steel-types
-Pokemon that switch into Ice and Dragon-type attacks are helpful. Lanturn, Aggron, Steelix, Entei etc.
-Munchlax can be used to take on Ice-types like Jynx and friends.
- Gallade is cool as between gallade/fraxure pretty much nothing in the tier walls you
- <Insert Calcs Here>

[Other Options]
-Night Slash
- X-Scissor
- RestTalk set w/ Evolite
- Choice Band

[Checks and Counters]

-burn it -- Cofag, Dusknoir, Spiritomb
-Taunt it so it cant set up
-any form of status will cause problems. mainly sleep or paralysis though.
-revenge kill it with Choice Scarfers such as Galvantula and Moltres
-physically defensive Pokemon like Tangrowth or Uxie can take a hit and cripple it with Thunder Wave/Sleep Powder.
- Steel-types such as Escavalier and Steelix can take on Fraxure if locked into Outrage and either phaze it out or smash it with powerful Banded attacks

[Unreleased]

-Unnerve is pretty bad as an ability, but it can stop ChestoRest or some weird strategy. Harvest Exeggutor? You get the idea.

Low Kick > Superpower on the DD set. (as usual, Omicron is wrong.) Low Kick hits almost all Superpower's targets hard enough and doesn't ruin your sweep every time you use it. The only two exceptions are Escavalier (which beats you anyway no matter how you play it) and Ferroseed. Both are easily trapped by Magneton if they worry you. You can mention Superpower in AC for teams that are really scared of Ferroseed (aka bad teams), but Low Kick is definitely superior in most cases.

Add Substitute to the AC of the DD set as an option over Aqua Tail for if you use Eviolite, as then you can set up on most Tangrowth, as well as block status from Pokemon such as Uxie, Lanturn, etc.

oh someone already posted this :(

definitely slash taunt on the first set and have jolly as your primary nature. taunt allows you to beat growth and kinda beat steelix if it tries to roar you. imo aqua tail should be primary option over superpower and then taunt/superpower should be slashed in the last spot. ive been using/testing fraxure extensively and have found these to be the best options. i also prefer eviolite on the life orb set because it prevents you from getting revenge killed as easily (which is a big problem). imo should be a slash, its much better than oo

gallade is a cool thing to mention as between gallade/fraxure pretty much nothing in the tier walls you

imo slash eviolite

I've been using it pn my offensive team since the start of the round and it gives it suprisingly good bulk even uninvested, and lets if set up on offensive mons, especially resists quite easily. lets it tank one hit of just about anything that isnt SE and revenge a pokemon that gives you trouble too. I can certainly understand why life Orb should be main slash by imo eviolite has no less merit.

Is there even really a reason to put Aerial Ace, Poison Jab in OO? Outrage alone hits everything harder in the tier with the exception of Parasect and Leavanny, which are never seen. Even Dragon Claw hits bugs and stuff equally hard. Poison Jab is even worse - it hits absolutely nothing harder than Outrage does.

Slash Eviolite on DD set (the set name should be Dragon Dance)

Low Kick should be in place of Superpower, you only miss out on Ferroseed and get a far stronger hit on Steelix and Aggron without sacrificing Attack or Defense

Remove the Choice Band set completely, if you're using Fraxure it needs to be the LO or Eviolite set, otherwise you're using a worse Druddigon or Zweilous

Mention Steel-types for sure in Checks and Counters, most are 2HKOed or OHKOed by Fraxure, but all can take at least 1 +1 Outrage and do something, particularly Escavalier.

Mention Magneton as a teammate, and remove all mentions of Swords Dance, Aerial Ace, Dig, and Poison Jab.

imo you should really do everything that august said: make Jolly the primary nature and Eviolite the first slash. After +1 Speed and a Jolly nature, Fraxure outruns max Speed Swellow by one point, but more importantly it outruns Sceptile. When I was testing, it was quite frail even with Eviolite, taking 40% from a lot of things such as Scyther, which is really bad if Stealth Rock is up. Taunt is great too, and that definitely needs to be slashed because most of the time, Pokemon such as Cofagrigus will try to burn you or set up Trick Room in your face.
