Both battlers send out their Pokemon, and Jynx opens with a quick Taunt against Cyclohm. Cyclohm looks pretty frustrated, and Milotic only adds to that frustration by attacking with Ice Beam. Cyclohm then uses Volt Switch against Jynx. Jynx suddenly gets a powerful premonition of an incoming attack, but Metagross struck with Meteor Mash before Jynx could dodge.

Jynx follows Milotic's lead, and attacks Cyclohm with an Ice Beam that does a lot of damage. Milotic does some sort of Rain Dance, and suddenly rain is falling on the field. Metagross goes in for an Iron Head on Jynx, but Jynx seems to have seen it coming with Forewarn, causing the attack to miss. Cyclohm then uses Trick Room on the arena, allowing Texas's slower team to move first. Hmm... it seems that Jynx is healing from the rain. It must be because of Jynx's Dry Skin.

Metagross comes in for another Meteor Mash, and barely manages to land the attack. Jynx is starting to look pretty worn out. Cyclohm attempts to remove the rain with Sunny Day. The sun immediately comes out and shines intensely. Both Milotic and Jynx gang up on Cyclohm with two Ice Beam attacks, leaving Cyclohm struggling to stand. Jynx looks pretty uncomfortable in the sun, with its Dry Skin being used as a weapon against it.

Jynx goes in for a quick Fake Out on Metagross, although it barely makes a scratch. It does cause Metagross to flinch though. Cyclohm lets loose a wild blast of electricity with a Discharge attack. The attack hits all three other Pokemon, but doesn't manage to paralyze a single one of them. Milotic then surrounds itself with a glowing aura, and reflects the damage of the blast back to Cyclohm with Mirror Coat. Cyclohm looks like its having a hard time standing up. The sun once again burns into Jynx, and it too is struggling to stand.

Using some odd Fake Out+Ice Punch combination, Jynx manages to faint Cyclohm before any of the other Pokemon can react. However, Metagross then charges into it with a tough Iron Head and leaves it fainted as well. Milotic proceeds to bring the rain back out using Rain Dance, although its too little too late to be of any use to its fallen comrade.

Metagross then uses a different type of headbutt, and comes crashing into Milotic with a Zen Headbutt. The attack was a critical hit, striking a weak spot on the serpent. Milotic responds with Scald, spouting some boiling water directly at Metagross. It failed to burn, however it picked up some extra power from the rain.

Metagross goes in for another Zen Headbutt, and it connects but fails to flinch. Milotic then focuses its energy on healing, and uses Recover to shrug off the blow.

Alternating back to Iron Head, Metagross hits for some damage, but Milotic goes back on the offensive and pounds away at Metagross with Scald. The water still fails to inflict a burn, but does do a lot of damage.

Once again, Metagross flies in for a Zen Headbutt, but Milotic manages to twist away at the last second, causing the attack to miss. Seizing the opportunity, Milotic heals itself up again with Recover. It's looking slightly better than Metagross is right now, but we'll see what happens. The Trick Room that was set up has also finally faded, which sets things in Milotic's favor as well.
