Status
Not open for further replies.
Welcome one and all to the first ever battle with signature moves! This is sure to be an interesting match, and possibly one that will answer a lot of questions: Will the signature moves be completely spammed or used every now and then? Will combinations be made completely useless? Is anyone even reading this right now? Well, let's find out!

I challenge Objection to a

Angry Birds the Cyclohm (M)
Nature: Modest (+Sp Atk, -Atk)

Type: Electric/Dragon

Electric: Electric STAB; 50% reduction in paralysis chance from other electrical attacks, perfect accuracy and 30% chance of Protect breaking Thunder during Rain. Superior senses in power plant environments.
Dragon: Dragon STAB; more in touch with legendary or special auras in arenas. Able to use Thrash without losing focus.

Abilities:

Shield Dust:
(Innate) This pokemon has dust covering the outside of its body that prevents opponents secondary effects from taking place (eg burn from Flamethrower). It does not block direct status moves (such as Thunder Wave.)
Static: (Innate) This pokemon’s body is surrounded by an electric field that has a 30% chance of paralyzing opponents that use contact moves on this pokemon.
Overcoat (DW-Unlocked): (Innate) This Pokemon has a sturdy exterior that rebuffs the elements, making it immune to damage inflicted by bad weather. If the Pokemon is already immune to at least one (1) kind of weather by typing or a different ability, Overcoat reduces the Base Attack Power of all oncoming attacks by one(1).

Abilities:
Natural Cure: (Innate) This Pokemon’s body has the ability to heal itself of status afflictions over time, it goes into effect six (6) actions after being inflicted with a status. In switch battles, this Pokemon heals all status effects when switched out.
Poison Point: (Can be Disabled) This Pokemon’s spikes/quills/thorns are coated in poison, and there is a 30% chance of poisoning any foe that uses a contact attack on this Pokemon. When disabled, all of this Pokemon's Poison-type attacks will inflict Toxic level poison.
Technician (DW UNLOCKED): (Innate) This Pokemon is more skilled at performing weaker moves, causing any of their attacks that normally have 6 or less Base Attack Power to have their Base Attack Power multiplied by 1.5. (e.g. Aerial Ace goes from 6 to 9, Mach Punch goes from 4 to 6, etc.) The Energy Cost for a one-hit or two-hit attack is increased by one (1). Each hit in a multi-hit move is boosted by one (1) Base Attack Power, and the Energy Cost for multi-hit attacks is increased by two (2). Because Technician is a multiplier on single hit moves, its effect is applied to Base Attack Power before any additive effects. Technician only applies to combos in the rare case that an initial hit will have 6 or less BAP.

Psychic: Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Dry Skin (DW UNLOCKED): (Innate) This Pokemon has spongy, yet sensitive skin, causing it to burn in bright sunlight for damage but absorb water and heal damaged tissues in rain. This effect results in dealing 2 damage/action to this Pokemon in sunlight and recovering 2 HP/action in rain. In addition, the dry skin is very vulnerable to flames and the Base Attack Power of incoming Fire attacks is increased by 2. Arghonaut - Swashbuckle

Swashbuckle: The pokemon performs a flamboyant display of combat prowess before striking with a sharp appendage. The bewildering show may cause the opponent to flinch.

Attack Power: 8 | Accuracy: 100% | Energy Cost: 8 | Attack Type: Physical | Effect Chance: 30% | Contact: Yes | Typing: Fighting | Priority: 0 | CT: Elemental

Roserade - Fertilizer

Fertilizer: The pokemon sprays fertile soil on the opponent that increases the potency of plant-based attacks. For three (3) actions, all damaging Grass-type attacks used on the opponent are calculated at the next highest level of weakness (eg, 2x resist becomes neutral, neutral becomes 2x weak). During this time, if the opponent is affected by Leech Seed, the HP drain from Leech Seed is increased by 1.

Attack Power: 4 | Accuracy: 100% | Energy Cost: 6 | Attack Type: Special | Effect Chance: -- | Contact: No | Typing: Ground | Priority: 0 | CT: Elemental

Jynx - Arctic Wind

Arctic Wind: The Pokemon blows an extremely cold wind over the opponent, dealing huge damage and potentially lowering their speed by one (1) stage. This move targets up to three (3) adjacent opponents in a multi-battle.

Attack Power: 12 | Accuracy: 85% | Energy Cost: 10 | Attack Type: Special | Effect Chance: 30% | Contact: No | Typing: Ice | Priority: 0

Cyclohm-Overcast

Overcast: The user summons dark clouds over the battlefield. On turn 1 of the next round a wicked thunderbolt comes down on the opponent. The attack uses any stat boosts/drops the Pokemon had at the time the move was initially called, as well as the Special Attack of the original user.

Attack Power: 10 | Accuracy: 100% | Energy Cost: 9 | Attack Type: Special | Effect Chance: -- | Contact: No | Typing: Electric | Priority: 0 | CT: Passive

Necturna-Bewitch

Shield Dust only negates secondary effects. Since Fertilizer's effect is obviously primary (much like Water Gun's Drenching, Bulldoze's Speed drop, etc.), of course Shield Dust wouldn't prevent it. /soundinglikeaknowitalldickhead

And while Subway withdraws his powerful Ghost-type and unveils his gigantic, threatening dragon, Objection holds strong and keeps his tiny plant out while Angry Birds takes some damage from the Spikes placed last round!

Starting off the round, Cruella points her flowers at Angry Birds and fires off a barrage of seeds which instantly borrow into its skin, slowly draining HP from the dragon! In response, all three of AB's heads spit out a plume of fire that singes Cruella, and her burn isn't helping her keep her HP intact! However, she does get some aid from the seeds, which don't absorb much, but still give Cruella a little boost!

Ready to take the offensive, Cruella scoops up ground and tosses it straight at AB, and the ground starts seeping into the dragon, not only allowing the seeds planted there to grow larger, but making her susceptible for Cruella's attacks! Looks like he's in trouble! However, Subway won't be taking this abuse lying down, and commands the Cyclohm to fire off a beam of ice that chills Cruella to the core! It doesn't look like she can take more abuse without some healing!

...And apparently, Objection took that advice to heart, as Cruella just drained the life out of Angry Birds! It looks like that did a lot of damage, and it definitely gave her a noticable boost! Once more, Angry Birds singes the Roserade with a Flamethrower, but after the Leech Seed takes effect, even though it looks like Cruella will fall over soon, its clear that Angry Birds has taken quite a beating as well! With the burn gone and the fertilization strong, can Subway fight his way out of this hole?!

Even though Subway has the lead in terms of remaining Pokemon, Angry Birds is already at less than half its maximum health, PVZ isn't exactly in top shape, and entry hazards are going to be a huge hassle for Subway if he even dares to switch!

And after a quick beat-down by Captain Hook, with the same exact outcome as the first time this was reffed (swear to god. Then again, the only actual hax in the round was Thunder missing, so not a huge surprise), the pirate Pokemon suffers a bit of damage from Angry Bird's onslaught of electricity, but in the end, it doesn't even matter, as with a Circle Throw over Hook's head, Angry Birds was thrown into his Poke Ball and Carcassonne was forced out, and the Spikes dig into his feet instantly, and it suddenly dawns on Subway that the second he sends his Cyclohm out, he's going to faint instantly! Even though Angry Birds left an Overcast sky behind him, it seems likely Objection will easily back subway further into a hole, as the battle is now 2 on 2!

And with the help of the Overcast from last round, Subway makes much more headway than he thought he would, bringing Captain Hook to his knees! He's not out of the fray yet though, but Objection looks a little worried. Looks like Objection's in a tricky spot here, but will he be able to get himself out of it?

Well, Subway dug his own grave with this one. It looks like Captain Hook is hanging on by a thing thread of his own Substitute, and looks like it can't pull off many more attacks either! While Carcassonne looks rather healthy, its starting to go down into easy pickings range for the evil Stepmother... I mean Lady Tremaine (no I don't).
