NATURE
: Quiet (-10% Evasion)
TYPE
Electric: Electric STAB; 50% reduction in paralysis chance from other electrical attacks, perfect accuracy and 30% chance of Protect breaking Thunder during Rain. Superior senses in power plant environments.

ABILITIES
Run Away: (Innate) This Pokemon is quick on its feet and will evade any field traps and hazards that would harm it (Spikes, Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes) in an arena. A Pokemon can still absorb Toxic Spikes if it has Run Away and is Poison-typed. Run Away does not allow the Pokemon to switch out of trapping moves or abilities, however it can escape other situational trapping strategies in battle.
Pickup: (Innate) This Pokemon has a natural habit of collecting items. Whenever a hold item (its own or an opponents) is used or knocked onto the ground with a move like Knock Off, this Pokemon will immediately pick up that item without using an action. It can also grab dropped or naturally occurring hold items in arenas.
Volt Absorb (DW): (Innate) This Pokemon absorbs all electrical attacks and instead of taking damage, recovering 50% of the damage an electrical attack would have done. A Pokemon that attacks itself with electricity to heal only receives 25% of the damage that attack would do to itself. Thunder Wave has no effect on the Pokemon.

Round 1

aaaaand we really to watch a match between the Water Gym Leader and the Ground Gym Leader. Atheno may have brought 3 water types, but IAR brought no ground types, so this is hardly a "gym battle". But those are good players so let's see what they have stored for us.

Athenodoros sends out Illuyanka and Scylla while IAR sends out Watt and Geargia. It seems that Atheno brought his tentacool for training...should have brought a lucky charm too as we will see, lol.

Anyway, Illuyanka starts this round by attacking Klink with the first Hydro Pump of this match. Watt went for a revenge with an Everstone boosted Thunderbolt. I must say: +2bp for all STAB seems a tad too good to be true. But oh well. Continuing the first turn, Scylla fires the second Hydro Pump of this match right at Geargia, who counters with a Thundershock. A Sad Thundershock.

On the second turn, Illuyanka tries his hand with the third Hydro Pump of this round...which resulted on the first miss of the round as well. High-Risk = Murphy's Law, I guess. Speaking of luck, Watt attacks Illuyanka again with Spark and manages to get a nice Critical Hit in the process.

Scylla tries the fourth Hydro Pump of this round, getting a much precious hit on Geargia, who countered with another sad Thundershock.

Final round now. Illuyanka is charging a combo so it moves last...if at all. If at all indeed, as Watt finishes it with another Everstone-boosted Thunderbolt. Its a KO!

Scylla tries the Fifth Hydro Pump of this round...oh lord...it got the second miss of this round! I bet Athenodoros will stick to Surf from now on.

Finally, Geargia attacks the KO'd Seadra with a sad Thundershock. Sad.

Fair enough, neither do I.

Klink does not know Spark, so that sub was illegal... 9.9
lol IAR. HOW DOES IT FEEL, HMMM? HAHAHA. SWEET VENGEANCE

In other news, I send out Munchy the Munchlax. That's not his real name, but I'm going to stick with it for now because it's great.

And so, actions:

Munchy the Munchlax: Flamethrower (Geargia) ~ Double Edge (Watt) ~ Double Edge (Watt)
IF
Protective/Evasive successfully and it is over Geargia, use Double Edge (Watt) and move actions along
IF Scylla faints, use Earthquake from then on
IF Watt uses Bide AND you have already used Flamethrower, use Stockpile ~ Stockpile

Scylla: Bubblebeam (Geargia) ~ Hydro Pump (Geargia) ~ Hydro Pump (Geargia)
IF
Geargia faints, switch targets to Watt
IF Protective/Evasive move successfully and over Geargia, switch targets to Watt
IF Watt uses Bide AND Geargia has fainted, use Knock Off (Watt) ~ Supersonic (Watt)

Round 2

I have absolutely no inspiration to write something more elaborated, so I'll just give you the facts.

Pachirisu used Bide to store energy, while Tentacool and Munchlax attacked Geargia with Bubblebeam and Flamethrower with the first getting a critical hit and a speed reduction. Finally, Klink attacked Munchy with Gear Grind.

On the second action Klink protects it self and Pachirisu continues to store energy, while being attacked by Tentacool, with Hydro Pump and by Munchlax with Double-Edge. Luckily for...well...someone, Hydro Pump missed!.

On the final action, Pachirisu unleashed the energy collected at Munchlax and Scylla got his first KOC like...ever by hitting Klink with another Hydro Pump. KO!. Finally, Munchlax smashed the Pachirisu with Double-Edge as a revenge for the Bide.

Round 3

I could make flavor, but I am tired as hell, so I'll give you just the facts.

And I am playing that card way too often >.<.

Anyway, Watt begins the round attacking Munchy the Munchlax with Electroball. Scylla the Tentacool, prolly having a bad feeling, Dives and stays under while Prinplup also attacks Munchy with Brine.

And it happens that those attacks were pointless and Scylla is a smartass. Munchy and Munchlax, after eating too much, using the dangerous farts gases to ASPLODE in a combo of Self-destruction + Self-destruction.

Both Watt and Napoleon survived, although the Pachirisu is almost kicking the bucket. The worst part is that it smells funky in here.

On the second round IAR's team attack Scylla with Thunderbolt and Mud-slap. But both failed as the tentacool remained underwater.

On the final round, Watt tries an useless Thunderbolt against the unreachable Scylla, who, then, emerges and attacks the pachirisu. Finally, Napoleon hits the now vulnerable Tentacool with Mud-Slap, getting a critical hit in the process.

Pachirisu: Electro Ball (Munchlax): 15+3+2=20 damage for 8 energy
Crit: 6 (no)

Tentacool: Dive and stay under for 5 energy

Prinplup: Brine (Munchlax): 13 + 3 + 1.5 = 17.5 damage for 7 energy
Crit: 6 (no)

Munchlax: ASPLODE for (15+19)*1.75= 59.5 energy
vs Pachirisu: 20*2.25*0.75+3= 36.75
vs Prinplup: 20*2.25*0.75+3= 36.75
Crit: 6, 10 (no no)

Pachirisu: Thunderbolt (Tentacool): miss for 6 energy.

Tentacool: stay under for 9 energy

Prinplup: Mud-slap (Tentacool): miss for 3 energy

Pachirisu: Thunderbolt (Tentacool): miss for 10 energy

Tentacool: Dive (Pachirisu): 8 + 3 -1.5 = 9.5 damage for 9 energy
Crit: 14 (no)

Prinplup: Mud-Slap (Tentacool): (4+1.5+3)*1.5= 12.75 damage for 7 energy

Round 4

Watt the Pachirisu starts the round by preparing itself to Endure future hits. Scylla saw that the Wrap his tentacles around the rodent for constant damage. On the other side of the field, Napoleon Dives on the pond, but Electra manages to get a hit with Thunderbolt before that.

On the second round Watt tries Discharge to fend off the Tentacool (it hits Rotom too and almost paralyses it. Almost). But Scylla stands its ground and uses Bubblebeam to deplete the Pachirisu's health and squeezes it until his morale is gone. Watt was KO'd!. Oh and Electra is trying to hit Prinplup with Thunderbolt, but fails.

Finally, we see Electra trying again to hit Napoleon, to no avail, while Scylla just chills as the Prinplup emerges and attacks it.

IF Scylla faints, THEN replace all remaining actions with Solarbeam (Electra).

Napoleon: Brine (Scylla) > Mud-Slap (Scylla) > Brine (Scylla)

The first trace is automatic. Only the following ones that use up an action, according to the ability description (and IRC if that counts for anything). Since Virus is being sent out now, Trace doesn't take an action and IAR's orders are good to go.

Athenodoros

I think I've been misreffed at some point. But okay then.

Electra: Thunderbolt + Thunderbolt (Napoleon) ~ Cool Down (Thunderbolt + Thunderbolt (Napoleon) ~ Thunderbolt + Thunderbolt (Napoleon) ~ Cool Down
IF
Napoleon faints, use Hydro Pump (Virus)

Scylla: Hydro Pump (Virus) ~ Mirror Coat (Virus) ~ Hydro Pump (Virus)

...You do know you have 4 moves for Electra, right? I'll ignore the last cooldown

Round 5

Let's start round 5!

IAR sends out Virus the Porygon2 that immediately Traces Electra's Levitate. After that the real fun attacks begin.

Scylla begins this round by using pressurized water to attack with the first Hydro Pump of this round...and it hit Virus, despite the mud! Will Athenodoros's luck change this round? Or will hax show its ugly face? Well if we know Athenodoros's matches, Hax usually comes and shits on one of the players, so let's wait a bit.

Anyway, moving on. The newcomer Virus attacks the sea monster Scylla with a Thunderbolt and Napoleon joins the fray by splashing Brine on the Tentacool. Speaking on Napoleon, Electra goes "Waterloo" on it (ok...that was terrible) with a Combo of Thunderbolt + Thunderbolt that KOes the Prinplup! EDIT: and it also KO'd Rotom as the consecutive move energy penalty takes its toll.

And the battle is now 1 vs 1! Electra cools down after the combo and Virus continues to maim Scylla with Thunderbolt. But the Tentacool fights back and counters the attack with Mirror Coat.

On the final turn Electra changes targets and attacks Virus with Hydro Pump. Scylla the assexual Tentacool does the same with their own Hydro Pump that also hits the Porygon2. And with that the Tentacool faints due to exhaustion with a smile on its...erm...face as it managed to get a couple KOC in this battle. Yay!

Oh yeah, and Virus attacked Electra with Solarbeam, getting a crucial Critical Hit that puts it back in the game.

We are looking at a very interesting grand finale here!

EDIT: And Athenodoros has no remaining pokemon!

Combos do not break the consecutive move penalty for a single move, so that Thunderbolt combo costs ((19+23)×1.75-1)=72.5 Energy Instead.

Honestly? I completely forgot that Rotom used thunderbolt on the previous turn (and forgot to check).

Okay, I fixed the reffing and Atheno officially commited seppuku. IAR wins!

The prizes are on the reffing above.

'til the next battle!

oops

I thought I had a Pokemon up my sleeve, forgot I just used Thunderbolt and didn't really pay much attention. Oh well, gg Random.

Oh, and Washtom should be getting 4 MC, because she doesn't have EC or DC.
