My first RMT

Hello fellow pokemon lovers...I have created a team here that I think is REALLY solid but then again there is ALWAYS room for improvement and I am open to suggestions. I will talk about the threats for my team but for now lets get right into it :D (sorrry about no pictures...im not really sure how to do that)

Changes so far will be in RED

Kitty (Landorus-T) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 76 Def / 180 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Rock Polish
- Swords Dance

I find this set VERY effective as it does MASSIVE damage to teams once it gets set up...The EVs are for out speeding scarf Latios and still having some bulk and taking the most advantage of his MONSTER 145 Base Attack

OP (Latios) (M) @ Expert Belt
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Dragon Pulse
- Surf
- Hidden Power [Fire]

The newest edition to the team and a very big improvement...this slot used to be occupied by Kyurem-B but I feel that Kyurem-B just has too many weakness' so I am using a pretty standard Expert belt latios set...it checks keldeo and Breloom very nicely and this set is used best if you fake scarf for the first couple turns then surprise a rachi/ferro by hitting it with a HP fire after they think your locked into Dragon Pulse

Rachi (Jirachi) @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 224 SDef / 32 Spd
Careful Nature
- Iron Head
- Body Slam
- Wish
- Protect

You cant go wrong with the classic hax Rachi...it most of the time will cause a switch and get a para on the switch...anything slower than it will get haxd to death by iron head...wish for support for whatever needs it and protect for lefftovers gains, wish turn and scouting

POWERFUL (Tyranitar) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def
- Pursuit
- Superpower
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge

Thanks to undisputed for the recommendation :D This really took care of my water team weakness...It sets up weather to disrupt rain teams and has a massive sp.def in Sand even without investment. It also traps any psychic pokes that aren't really too much of a threat put are pretty annoying to say the least

Glue (Mamoswine) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 SAtk
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Superpower
- Stone Edge

This thing truly is the "Glue" of this team..if is a dragon check...outspeed unboosted gyra (which is pretty common)...STAB EQ and superpower to hit rotom-w HARD and OHKO Tyranitar..With this thing a DD dragonite or any dragon for that matter is no longer a big threat. CURRENTLY TESTING FERROTHORN IN ITS PLACE (ShootingStarmie Recommendation)

Testing (Celebi) @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 220 SDef / 252 HP / 36 Spd
Gentle Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def
- Giga Drain
- Recover
- Psychic (Thanks again to both undisputed and ShootingStarmie)
- Heal Bell (My filler move of choice..still open to change but it is nice to heal my Pokes of those pesky status moves)

Its name is Testing for a reason..It has just recently been switched to a celebi from a rotom-w...it has been doing its job very well as a support poke, setting up rocks as need and u-turning/giga draining at appropriate times..this is another poke that seems to gel really well with the team but could use some work with moveset/Evs

This team has been very successful for me but The things that have been giving me problems are Sableye and bulky waters...I havent really had a problem with anything else as only one of my pokes are touched by to toxic spikes. most pokes are immune to spikes or take very little damage from them so I dont feel the need for a spinner...I do feel like somethings could be improved so feel free to suggest anything...especially about the EVs...I'm not the greatest about knowing little things that will get me certain KOs that I dont know about. This is my first RMT so im sorry about no sprites but hopefully enough info is provided :D Thank you (Currently doing a lot of testing so excuse me if this info is inaccurate)

Hey!

I got your message, so I dropped by to give you a rate. Doesn't look like a bad team at all, especially for your first RMT. Looks to me like you've got a standard sand archetype going just without Tyranitar, so I think you could make some small improvements to make the team even better.

First, I think Heatran is kind of the odd man out. It doesn't really seem to do anything that the rest of your members don't already do besides check Sun teams. Even then, most good Sun teams should be able to beat Heatran. Instead, I think Tyranitar would be a much better option. I'd probably go with 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Sp Def with Leftovers. For moves, use Pursuit or Crunch / Superpower / Stone Edge / Stealth Rock. Basically, Tyranitar will give your team a lot of support. It's biggest goal will be to limit Rain teams. They cannot just Spam high powered Water moves since you'll be able to combat Rain with Sand Storm. Tyranitar is also a useful Stealth Rock user which can free up Celebi to be a better utility. Use Pursuit if you envision yourself trying to trap weakened Politoeds, but otherwise Crunch is better overall. Superpower is cool for hitting other Tyranitar and Ferrothorn.

Second, we need to fix up your Landorus-t spread. The set you have is great, but the spread isn't efficient. My spread is 252 Atk / 180 Spe / 76 Def with an Adamant nature. It outspeeds Choice Scarf Latios which is about the fastest thing you'll face in OU. You could bump up the Speed by 12-16 EVs in an effort to beat Chlorophyll Venusaur, but that will only work if Venusaur aims to beat Scarf Latios (a lot of them do).

Finally, on Celebi, you should switch up your moves. If you go with Tyranitar, you can afford to run Psychic. I personally think Psychic is Celebi's best move because it beats Breloom. It's also just a good coverage move. I'd probably go with Psychic / Giga Drain / Recover / Filler. The filler slot can be used to cover a specific weakness. Thunder Wave stops set up Pokemon and nails Tornadus-t. You already have Jirachi, so it's not a huge deal to get Tornadus-t. U-turn could be used to keep momentum. That would keep Volcarona from catching you off guard. Perish Song stops last chance set up Pokemon like Latias or Reuniclus, but I think you've got those covered pretty well.

Good luck!

Hi undisputed...thanks a lot for the rate...it means a lot seeing as this is my first RMT and all...I REALY like the suggestion to switch Heatran for T-Tar becasue it just honestly makes a lot of sense..Heatran wanst doing anything that the other pokes couldnt do really and in this meta game its always good to control the weather. Also with T-Tar it really takes care of the bulky water/sableye problem. Only 1 problem I see is that with that EV spread that you suggested on Landours-T I dont really have a physical wall...Do you think changing celebi to physically defensive celebi would be a bad idea? and for the filler move on celebi I was thinking about putting heal bell becasue it seems T-Tar will be taking quite a plethora of water moves which means it will be taking quite a few scalds along the way..what are your thoughts on that? well thats all I can really see hurting the team right now...thanks a lot for the rate ;D

Hey man, I got your PM so I'd thought I'd drop by and give you a rate :)

The first thing I noticed is that your team is super weak to Mamoswine. Mamoswine can OHKO everything on your team, and the things that it doesn't out speed (Latios and Landorus-) are hit hard by an Ice Shard. I feel likeyou should replace your own Mamoswine with Ferrothorn. The reason for this is that it basically does what your Mamosine intends to, but in a much more defensive way. It easily takes on Dragon types, Gyarados, Rotom-W AND Tyranitar (since Banded Ttar is becoming quite popular).

Dark Pulse doesn't really hit much bar Jellicent, so I suggest replacing Dark Pulse with Stealth Rocks on Heatran. This now allows Celebi to run an extra move, so I suggest using Psychic, as Breloom could be troublesome. Speaking of Celebi, I suggest running Baton Pass over U-turn. Baton Pass still allows you to gain momentum and switch advantage, but it also allows you to not get trapped by Tyranitar and Scizor.

This team looks pretty similar to my RMT, as I also use Celetran, Latios, and Landorus-T, so I know from experience that this team does have great synergy. Considering this is your first RMT, this is really good :)

Hope I helped in some way.

Hey Starmie thanks a lot for the rate, I just had dark pulse there as kind of a filler anyway so thanks for that :D A big problem that I find if I replace mammo with Ferro is DD dragons...my ferro can't do much to them besides maybe para them unless your suggesting that I run gyro ball on ferro...could you send me the set that your thinking of because honestly with anohter poke already using SR maybe I could use spikes/t-wave(or Toxic)Gyro ball and Power Whip?

Well, my favourite Ferro set is

252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet
-Leech Seed
-Protect
-Spikes
-Gyro Ball

Leech Seed cripples any Dragon Dancer, and from there you can Protect stall. Gyro Ball hits +1 Dragon types very hard and Spikes are spikes...

Also, I'm assuming that SR is up on the field as their Dragon type switches in, because after SR damage, Leech Seed, and Rocky Helmet + Iron Barbs, their won't be sweeping for long. I prefer Rocky Helmet over Leftovers because you already have reliable recovery in Leech Seed.

I hope you consider using this set, but I really do think you should replace your Mamoswine with a solid check / counter to Mamo, whether its Ferrothorn or not. Skarmory can also be used I guess, I suggest testing both.

thanks..i'll repost later telling you how the testing went..thanks agiain for the rate :D

If someone could help me with a priority user that would make up for the removal of mammoswine which was my only priority user, that would be very helpful

In response to my earlier comment..after some further testing none of the proposed suggestions have really done anything to improve the team so I post this in hope to get some further help..I still am pretty walled by the jelly but that's about it
