<p>It might be surprising that a defensive behemoth like Regice has the potential to be one of the most devastating offensive Pokemon in the tier, but it has all the right tools to be an amazing late-game cleaner. Rock Polish is what makes this set truly frightening, allowing a boosted Regice to outrun everything up to and including Jolly Swellow while also being extremely easy to set up due to Regice's great bulk. Ice Beam is Regice's most reliable STAB attack, ripping Grass-types, such as Roselia, as well as Flying-types, such as Rotom-S, to shreds. Thunderbolt offers great coverage along with Ice Beam, forming the famous BoltBeam combination, renowned for being very difficult to resist. The primary reason to use Thunderbolt is to stand up to Water-types, in particular Samurott and Carracosta, which can threaten Regice with Waterfall and Stone Edge, respectively. Focus Blast allows Regice to hit certain Pokemon that resist BoltBeam, such as Rotom-F and Piloswine, super effectively. Focus Blast is also Regice's best option against opposing Regice, as well as bulky Normal-types, such as Miltank and Lickilicky, that can shrug off an Ice Beam with ease.</p>

<p>Modest is the preferred nature due to the increase in power. However, Timid is an option if Choice Scarf Braviary is a threat to your team, although that is its only significant advantage. Leftovers can be used instead of Life Orb to increase survivability, as well as allowing Regice to bluff one of its other sets, meaning it is more useful early in the game. Unfortunately, Regice is not quite strong enough to destroy teams right off the bat and needs entry hazard support to get many of its kills. Stealth Rock or a layer of Spikes is needed to guarantee the OHKO against Regirock with Focus Blast, while a layer of Spikes is needed to get the kill against Sawk. The majority of Pokemon that outspeed boosted Regice are specially based Choice Scarf Electric-types, such as Rotom-S, and will fail to do much damage. However, it is important to note that there are exceptions to this; Choice Scarf Braviary and Choice Scarf Sawk will outspeed a boosted Regice and OHKO easily. It is important to save Regice for late-game, as early on it will easily be revenge killed.</p>

<p>Regice's great 80 / 100 / 200 defenses make it very easy to set up on support Pokemon like Roselia and Wartortle as well as Water-types such as special Samurott and Ludicolo. Golurk is a great teammate for Regice due to its ability to defeat Pokemon like Flareon, which are able to defeat this set with ease. On top of that, Golurk can also act as a check to Choice Scarf Sawk and provide Stealth Rock for Regice. Swellow and Braviary are nifty teammates for Regice, because they can take on threats such as Musharna and Throh quite easily thanks to their high-powered STAB attacks while also providing U-turn support to get Regice onto the field safely. Ironically, Regice itself is one of the best counters to this set, as bulky versions can easily survive a Focus Blast and respond with Thunder Wave, crippling Regice for the rest of the match. Because of this, Gurdurr works wonders with Regice, as it is powered up by Thunder Wave due to Guts and can use STAB Drain Punch to come out victorious.</p>

• Regice has everything a good speed booster needs, bulk, power, and coverage.
• Rock Polish allows it to outrun everything up to Swellow, it is easy to set up with that ridiculous special bulk.
• Ice Beam is a great STAB move right now, ripping through grass types, flying types, it is hard to resist in NU.
• Thunderbolt teams up with ice beam to form the famous BoltBeam combo, only commonly resisted by Piloswine and Rotom-F in NU (as well as seaking chinchou and shedinja but they suck, trust me, i tried.). Tbolt is for Water-types, like Carracosta and Samurott
• Focus Blast hits Steel-types, Piloswine, as well as Normal-types the hardest. Particularly Lickilicky and Miltank, who can shrug off ice beams.

• Modest is the preferred nature, Timid outspeeds Scarf Braviary, but not much else.
• lefties over more survivability at the cost of power
• Unfortunately, Regice is not quite powerful enough to rip teams to shreds right off the bat. It needs Stealth Rock and a layer of Spikes to get past Emboar, as well as Sawk.
• many of the scarfers that outspeed it are specially based and will struggle to do major damage(electrics) though there are exceptions like sawk and braviary
• Its best to save Regice for late game, as early game it will just be revenge killed by anything that can tank a hit.
• Can easily set up on bulky water types like Wartortle, as well as against offensive ones like Samurott. Can also set up on Amoonguss after Spore, and just about anything bulky that doesnt have a paralysis move.
• This set is good because it utilizes one of the best offensive typings, as well as Regice's good bulk and movepool in order to set up in front of many balanced teams. Regice commonly runs a resttalk set, so a surprise Rock Polish can really catch people off guard.
• Golurk is a great teammate because it can get past counters like Flareon easily, as well as checking Sawk, and providing Stealth Rock.
• Swellow and Braviary are capable of weakening checks like Throh and Musharna, while also providing U-turn support.
• Emboar gets passed opposing Regice, bulkier ones can survive and t wave you.

I'll add a bit about Snover and its place on hail teams if it is unbanned, i think Blizzard should be the secondary slash in that case.

Looks good so far. Only other thing I want to see is examples of what it can set up on, as well as a bit more about what this set does well in the current metagame (including stuff it can set up on, common Pokemon that it can beat easily etc).

Mention Leftovers in AC. I like running Leftovers on RP Regice because it allows you to beat certain special threats and then sweep later on in the game. The power loss from Life Orb is not too noticeable. In addition, you can bluff the standard Regice set with Leftovers, which is useful for a set like this.

Also, make sure to update the relevant places in the Overview, Checks and Counters, and any other places that may need to be updated with the Rock Polish Regice information in this thread. This is honestly a practice that every set poster should start doing, because otherwise the other parts of the analysis are outdated.

rotom-frost also resists bolt beam. He isn't doing much back and is wrecked by focus blast so no need to mention it, just don't say pillow is the only one.

you could mention scarfers that outspeed him (and electrode) are more often special attackers which regice can take very well but sawk and brav are still hitting him hard so it's up to you.
