Today's ASB Standard LC Flash Doubles see a pair of typing match-ups between the chilly Grass-types ("You'd think a younger Mr President would make a show.") and a Roman pagan Water-types ("What is this, Roman Marines? Not even historically legible.") Baldr-Chinchou started off the match by asking for Rain from Jupiter Optimus Maximus and the Water-type patron, Neptune, but in the process he gets mauled terribly by gun-toting Fyros-Embirch and DS-Turtwig ("Who knows that Grass-types can use guns?"). However, Kraken-Privatyke is not dissuaded, attempting to convert Fyros-Embirch by Soaking it in the holy waters of the Roman skies, before Thrusting and Chopping away at DS-Turtwig. ("Looks like this fellow is not favoured by the Roman gods.")

But Fyros-Embirch stood firm in his beliefs, even when Drenched again by another Gun from Baldr-Chinchou ("This modern warfare is getting ridiculous."). And thus enraged by such impiety, the gods themselves answered Baldr-Chinchou's call again, this time striking Fyros-Embirch through his supposedly invincible Protective barrier with a mighty boom of Thunder! Not even the Leaf Storm attempted by DS-Turtwig managed to hit in front the wrath of the gods! The effort of communication leaves Baldr-Chinchou exhausted, though - can the priest pull off another miracle?

Such was the voice resounding from the heavens upon the declaration of Lupus, as the lycan was Smitten alongside Fyros-Embirch. Both barely survived, but the fake priest was blown apart by DS-Turtwig's Greenades before it is his turn to suffer divine judgement. Nevertheless, the gods sent Janus to give Kraken-Privatyke a choice - to serve, or to walk a path of punishment. Janus' choice is so tempting, that Fyros-Embirch is bought a small measure of retreat, when he and DS-Turtwig saps their foe with the Nectar of Greed.

The sea-dog chose neither, and so he is neither blessed nor cursed - though he suffered at the hands of his foes, for he is tricked by Janus to believe that his opponent lies dead even with Mercury's Healing. By the time he realises his mistake, and tries to re-retarget, the attack simply misses both, as Demeter finally gave her blessing to DS-Turtwig's Harvest.
