Nature: Quirky (No Changes)
Type: Ice/Bug
Ice: Ice STAB; immune to freezing and Sheer Cold, no vision loss or damage in Hail or snowstorm conditions, perfectly accurate and 30% Protect breaking Blizzard in Hail. Superior senses and mobility in frozen caves and other frigid arenas.

Windswept Meadow

Windswept Meadow is a serene flat of grassland, stretching out for as far as the eye can see. A river loops around two sides of the meadow, and a rather intimidating bunch of trees come together to form a forest on a third side; thus, the most common entry point is through the fourth side, where a small town resides. You surmise that entering may take you through the forests and streams, but you cannot fathom what might lie beyond those landmarks. Most Pokemon trainers who go into the seemingly calm meadow come out talking about horrors that lie beyond—venomous snakes, quicksand, and more. Determined to uncover the mystery of the Meadow, you gather your strongest Pokemon and set out into the field. Maybe you'll fare better.

[box]Finally done with stocking up on necessary items for your trek into the meadow, you enter the pleasant grass field, hoping to discover what made former explorers terrified of the meadow. You immediately see something strange about the entire flat—although it's all grass, there seems to be a sense of danger lurking about in some areas. You soon realize that the feeling is somewhat extinguished if you follow a certain path; perhaps the grassland isn't as expansive and pleasant as you though it was.

Soon enough, your entry point is but a speck in the distance. As you continue forward, you suddenly hear some rustling in the grass—it turns out that the field isn't quite as abandoned as it seems like it was. Two Pokemon pop out from the grass, looking curiously at you and your team. Despite their weakness, they seem eager for a battle. They probably won't stop pestering you until you fight them...[/box]

609.png

Chandelure [Jalhalla] (M)

Nature: Relaxed (+ Defense, - Speed)

Type: Ghost / Fire
Ghost:
Ghost STAB; brief intangibility that nullifies Normal and Fighting-type attacks. Can move through walls for a brief period of time but must remain in motion. Superior senses in low light and inside dark buildings. Have no vision reduction in hazes.
Fire: Fire STAB; immune to burn, 50% reduction in freeze chance, emit a low glow in dark places, takes additional damage if active open flames are exposed to a water attack. Superior senses in volcanic or brushfire areas.
Abilities:
Flame Body:
(Innate) This Pokemon’s external temperature is kept at such a high level that any contact attack used on this Pokemon has a 30% chance of burning the opponent.
Flash Fire: (Innate) This Pokemon thrives in high temperatures, and takes the energy of any opposing fire attack, nullifies the damage, and uses the additional power to boost its own fire attack’s Base Attack Power by two (2). Self-targeted attacks do not give the boost.
Shadow Tag (DW): [UNLOCKED] (Innate) Upon entry into battle, this Pokemon’s Shadow expands across the arena and dissipates, forcing opposing Pokemon to stay within 10 meters of this Pokemon. The Shadow entirely negates the ability to switch for every Pokemon except those who also have Shadow Tag.

[box]You move on.

Bird's Nest

As you progress into the meadow, you encounter a rather odd sight. A bush and a tree are present, side by side; the bush has a rather large mound by it, presumably eggs of some bird, while the tree has a small nest in the branches, with small eggs visible. Examining the two pieces of foliage more closely, you see traces of wildlife on both paths—the one that goes by the bush has significantly larger prints, but the one that swings through the tree seems to have sharper prints. Both undoubtedly seem potentially dangerous; which way do you go?[/box]

[box]You take the route that curves along the tree, suspecting a trap by the bushes. As you walk along the path, you see a small nest at the top of an enormous tree and hear a quick flap of wings. Before you can even react, a blue bird not even half your height perches on one of the tall branches of the tree, glaring at you in an intimidating fashion. You also notice an even smaller bird, probably of the same species, peeking out from behind the rather large trunk. Already impatient, they decide to speed things up by engaging you in combat; it's as if they're guarding the nest zealously. Wonderful.[/box]

Blossom Clearing

As you continue deeper into the green grassland, you come across two rows of trees that seem to be aligned in a rather unnatural way. As you hear rather threatening noises from the two expanses outside of the channel formed by the trees, you decide to go through the channel. Upon exiting through the other side, you are faced with an extremely peculiar site. A small mound of earth is raised above the others, creating what seems to be a small hill. What's strange, however, is that all of the grass and flowers in the clearing seem to bend towards the mound... as you examine it more closely, you discover that there is a strange flower on the mound. Do you pick the flower, or do you leave it alone[/box]

KNOCKED OUT
The field seems almost alive—tall, uncut grasses dance in the wind, while tree branches wave about. Bushes and flowers are abundant in the arena, releasing a delightful scent that makes most Pokemon want to stop what they are doing and bathe in the smell. You still can't find any water around here, but that's not much of a worry. The greenery is enough of a compensation.

Berry Tree Hill

As you continue on your way, you notice a small raised hill a short distance away from a massive grove of trees. The hill seems to be a bottleneck; to the left of it is a rather intimidating forest, while you see the reflective surface of what seems to be water on the right. Braving either of the two doesn't seem to be very smart, so you head straight towards the hill.

As you approach the hill, you see two tall trees on either side. One of them seems to have some

[box]Sensing a potential danger, you avoid the Berry trees and attempt to get off the hill. However, it seems that two Pokemon are awaiting you at the base of it. They don't seem angry—probably a result of you not picking any Berries—but they do seem somewhat irritated, perhaps because you're intruding upon their territory. It seems as if they'll be trying to prevent you from getting any further...[/box]

I don't think we will last much longer guys.

Caffie: Icicle Spear (Ivysaur) - Blizzard
IF Clefable attacks with Fire-Typed Damaging attack AND Caffie is the target AND Protect wasn't used on the turn prior THEN Protect and push back

Ganon: Fire Blast (Ivysaur) - Flamethrower (Ivysaur)
IF Ivysaur uses Protective/Evasive successfully THEN use Focus Blast (Clefable) on the first instance and Superpower (Clefable) on the second and push back

Fyros: Flare Blitz (Ivysaur) - Fire Blast (Ivysaur)
IF Ivysaur uses Protective/Evasive successfully THEN Redirect towards Clefable

KO SUB: IF Ivysaur is KO'd AND you aren't already dead due to some obscure combo/strategy I am too lazy to look up (this AND is a joke, ignore it <_>) THEN Redirect towards Clefable.

KNOCKED OUT
The field seems almost alive—tall, uncut grasses dance in the wind, while tree branches wave about. Bushes and flowers are abundant in the arena, releasing a delightful scent that makes most Pokemon want to stop what they are doing and bathe in the smell. You still can't find any water around here, but that's not much of a worry. The greenery is enough of a compensation.

  • Arena Type: Grassland
  • No water source. Only sun and rain weathers allowed.
  • One (1) stage evasion drop for Pokemon without a Grass typing that is maintained at the end of each round.
