My best UU team.

MoxieInfinite

Banned deucer.
Hi there. And welcome to my team, which was originally based around Physically Defensive Arcanine and CB Victini, but after a while it turned out to be my standard and best UU team, maybe even my best ever created.

victini.jpg

Victini @ Choice Band
Trait: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Bolt Strike
- U-turn
- V-create
- Zen Headbutt

Victini is easily one of the best wallbreakers in UU, and can with V-Create 2HKO anything that doesn't resist it. Bolt Strike hits Bulky water types, bar Swampert, Zen Headbutt is a decent STAB move and works as a revenge-killing move if you dont want the stat-drop from V-Create. U-Turn is there for momentum.

swampert.jpg

Swampert @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Waterfall
- Roar

Next up is Swampert, my back-up physical wall. It carries Stealth Rock, as this team causes a decent amount of switches. Great dual-STAB with decent coverage, and Roar to phaze. It also forms a great physical combo with Arcanine.

roserade.jpg

Roserade @ Black Sludge
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Sleep Powder
- Synthesis

Roserade is my special wall and works really well together with Arcanine and somewhat Swampert. It works really well as a status-fodder, as it doesn't get poisoned, doesn't really care about burn, and can heal itself with Natural Cure if I get put to sleep myself.

hitmontop.jpg

Hitmontop (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Careful Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic
- Stone Edge
- Close Combat

Hitmontop is probably my least valuable team member, and tends to be the one who dies first. It is basically there for Rapid Spin support, and to Toxic some bulky Pokémon if needed. I tend to mix around the moves a bit, something using Mach Punch or Sucker Punch over Stone Edge, but that depends on the moveset on my Arcanine.

azelf.jpg

Azelf @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Psyshock
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt

What? A scarfed Azelf? This thing has caught a LOT of opponents of guard, especially the common Scarfed Heracross who think they can sweep through my team and decides to try, just to get fried by a Psyshock. It lacks a bit of power, but makes up for it by having the element of surprise. Running Grass Knot on this set is possible, if you have trouble with Rhyperior or Swampert, but Gligar is a bigger threat to my team, which is why I run HP Ice instead.

arcanine.jpg

Arcanine @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Atk
Impish Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Flare Blitz
- ExtremeSpeed
- Morning Sun

The star of the team, and also the original idea came from this beast of a wall. Will-O-Wisp cripples any physical threat apart from Guts Heracross, Darmanitan and RestoChesto/Lum Berry Kingdra. It hits hard with Flare Blitz, has priority in ExtremeSpeed, and can recover itself with Morning Sun. The other super-cool thing is that it can run both a physical and a special based set. Just run a Bold nature with Flamethrower and HP Grass/Dark instead. I also tend to run Crunch over ExtremeSpeed, but if I do, Hitmontop runs Sucker Punch/Mach Punch. Always having priority of some sort is a rule I have made, and it have paid of many times.

Huge threats:

1: Chandelure

Chandelure is a huge threat to this team, especially the Life Orb/Leftovers variant as it is able to change moves, but the Choiced ones always leave a huge mark in my team. I have no real way to deal with them as Arcanine without Crunch can't touch it, Roserade gets killed by Fire-moves, Swampert hates Energy Ball, and Hitmontop without Sucker Punch gets outsped and 2HKO'd by Fire Blast, and sometimes also by Shadow Ball before it can do anything with Stone Edge.

2: Honchkrow

Honchkrow isn't really a threat to break through my team, but it can make it ridiculously easy for other Pokémon later in the game because of Pursuit and Sucker Punch. If I need to revengekill something with Azelf, Honchkrow can come in and either Pursuit or Sucker Punch depending on what I've locked myself into. This is one of the reasons I've concidered a Scarf/Specs Raikou instead of Azelf. Raikou makes a great VoltTurn combo with Victini, and doesn't get hurt that much by Sucker Punch or Pursuit. However, I do miss out on OHKOing Heracross

3: Choice Band/Life Orb Darmanitan

Darmanitan is a huge threat, mainly because Arcanine can't do much to cripple it. Arcanine can't burn it, and an Earthquake hits ridiculously hard, 2HKOing if Rocks are up or if Darmanitan switched in on Arcanine. Swampert can take a Flare Blitz, but it can't heal itself aside from Leftovers, and will be worn down slowly.

Minor/Uncommon threats:

1: Bisharp

Bisharp doesn't really seem like a huge threat, but it is, mainly because of Defiant. Arcanine or Hitmontop's Intimidate will only help it, and it can Substitute not allowing Arcanine to burn it. It can also set up with Swords Dance if the time and circumstances are right. It also often carries Sucker Punch, meaning it can't be revengekilled very easily. However, a Mach Punch from Hitmontop generally does the job.

2: Houndoom

Houndoom is a really underrated Pokémon, which this team is glad for. It is one of the best counters to Victini, Chandelure and a lot of other big threats in UU. It is immune to Fire- and Psychic moves, which this team has a lot of. It can also Pursuit-trap and Sucker Punch if it runs it.

3: SubCM Raikou

If my team is fully fit, this thing isn't too big of a deal. However, if Swampert is down, this thing can go ham if it runs HP Ice. Same thing with Roserade if it runs HP Grass.

Well that's about it. I hope you like the team, feel free to try it out and leave a comment about additional threats or possibly some switches in the team. Thanks. :)

Hey pretty nice team, good job with it. There are a couple things I think could be better however:

I was racking my brain to think of something that can deal with the three huge threats you listed. The best option I can think of is a specially defense Rhyperior:
Rhyperior @ Leftovers
Trait: Solid Rock
EVs: 248 HP / 16 Atk / 244 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Blast
- Dragon Tail/Megahorn
- Stealth Rock
Resistant to Fire and Flying, and has really great bulk. I would either replace Hitmontop or Swampert with Rhyperior, as I think everything else on the team is more important, but I'm not really sure.

I would also replace HP Ice on Azelf to Grass Knot. This helps it deal with Rhyperior and Swampert a heck of a lot easier.

One suggestion would be to put spikes/toxic spikes on Roselia, that can help your pokemons kill things which is really good. Also Since swampert is already defensive, you can change waterfall for Scald so u can status any poke most likely and take phsyical hits better. Also u might consider using azel and giving it u turn.
