Some time ago, four fights broke out. Now, two users in their first TLR attempt to aim for one of these fights. Will they discover the fights, & will they prevail? Welcome to the Four Swords Quest, where we will find out this burning question. Introducing the users who attempt to discover the fights: Imanalt, & EspyOwner.

A boost gained this way by an opponent's attack will be maintained at the end of each round. Self-targeted attacks do not maintain boosts.
Sand Force (DW): (Innate) This Pokemon thrives in Sandstorm conditions, using the power of the swirling sand to augment its Rock, Ground, and Steel-typed attacks. Abilities:
Levitate:
(Trait) This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a Flying-type. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit. Levitate Pokemon will retain the Levitate trait when they use Skill Swap on an enemy, and will steal the opponent's ability (the user can specify if they want a foe or ally to gain Levitate from a Skill Swap.) Golurk (Genderless) GOLURK MOAR
Nature:Quiet (+1 SAtk, -15% Spe, -10% evasion)
Type: Ground/Ghost
Ground:Ground STAB; Immune to all electrical attacks, can Dig through almost any substance, Evasive Digging reduced from 3 per action Energy Cost to 2 per action, superior senses in darkened cave surroundings.
Ghost:Ghost STAB; brief intangibility that nullifies Normal and Fighting-type attacks. Can move through walls for a brief period of time but must remain in motion. Superior senses in low light and inside dark buildings. Have no vision reduction in hazes.

Abilities:
Iron Fist: (Innate)
The Base Attack Power of this Pokemon’s “Punch” attacks is increased by two (2). (Known attacks effected: Bullet Punch, Comet Punch, Dizzy Punch, Drain Punch, Dynamicpunch, Fire Punch, Focus Punch, Hammer Arm, Ice Punch, Mach Punch, Mega Punch, Meteor Mash, Shadow Punch, Sky Uppercut, Thunderpunch)

Klutz: (Can be Disabled)
The Pokemon moves in a rare style of battling that uses an unpredictable, clumsy looking manner. The accuracy of its attacks are increased by 10% (flat). While engaging in this style it cannot use a hold item, however an item is necessary to pull it off.

No Guard (DW): (Innate)
This Pokemon has an immense confidence from perfecting each of its attacks, giving them all perfect accuracy. As a result, it feels it can weather every strike, and will not dodge an attack even if ordered to. Only when an OHKO move is issued by the opponent does sense return, and the Pokemon acts normally. Additionally, even with their extra skill, the power and exhaustion involved in using OHKO moves prevents them from being benefited by No Guard; they will have their normal accuracy.

FOUR SWORDS QUEST

In an ancient time, Pokémon & people used to battle in vicious wars - this occurred even before primitive Poké Balls were made that turned the tide against what humans considered to be a savage & dangerous world. Some Pokémon were so powerful that humans had to seal them away, placing four swords in four different locations.

The war is over & time has long since passed. The seal was recently broken, and unscrupulous trainers have been attempting to loot these ancient sites. Needless to say the inhabitants were not pleased, & the sealed Pokémon re-awakened. Do you have what it takes up to stand to these Legendary Pokémon?

a) Enter Bladed Grass Meadow.
b) Enter Steel Will Cavern.
c) Enter Castle Breaker Cave.
d) Enter Mystic Marsh.
e) Leave Four Swords Quest.

I am aware that you two already have a place in mind which you specified in the Challenge Post, but this is more or less a confirmatory post, so I know that you two know that this exists.

Castle Breaker Cave - Dust Storm

Castle Breaker Cave is filled with hostile Pokémon, who have on more than one occasion made it clear that they dislike outsiders. This xenophobia has many interested, though only amateurs have attempted to make their way through the cave. The services of a professional are needed to explore the place. Are you up to the task?

You venture into the cave, ears pricked for any sign of danger. Unnervingly, you see none of the inhabitants. Considering that people often found the inmates as soon as they entered, this is quite odd. You push it to the back of your mind however, as you make your way forward. On entering a room, you find a couple of Pokémon—Archen & Mankey—sleeping peacefully. You decide to move on tiptoe along the walls of the room, but as soon as you enter, they wake up, & begin to do an odd dance. They run around the cave in random directions, seemingly ignoring you, but then lunge at you through a cloud of dust. You must defend yourself!

Dust Storm

The arena is filled with clouds of dust that fill the air. Visibility is low. There is no water to be seen in the room, but there are several rocks scattered around.

Summary:
No external water source.
Due to the dust clouds, there is a permanent -1 Acc stage to all Pokémon.

Steel Will Cavern - Shining Cavern

Steel Will Cavern has always terrified the locals. They claim to hear deep growls whenever they enter the cave, even though there is nothing in the sole round room of the cave. Now, reports have come that a part of the cave's wall has collapsed, leading to a new area, hitherto unexplored. You stock up on whatever you think necessary, & enter the cave. Perhaps you shall be the one to find what lurks within? Or will you fail? There is only one way to find out.

You enter the cavern, & feel a deep shudder of apprehension. However, you make your way through the narrow tunnel and emerge into a clearing. Excited, you pace forward to view this spectacle. Accidentally, you trip over the sleeping form of a Shieldon. Your attempts to apologise to it are in vain. It calls out, & it is soon joined by a Bronzor. You are now resigned to the inevitable, & send out your Pokémon.

Shining Cavern

The cavern is very lustrous, with gleaming gems adorning every wall. The ground is soft and bends to your Pokémon's lightest touch. The light is nearly blinding, & your Pokémon & you both find it more difficult to locate your opponents than usual. There is no source of water that you can see around. However, the gems seem to guide Fighting type & Steel type Pokémon, & they are somehow able to cover their weakness of sight by using their other senses.

Summary:
Arena Type: Cave
No external source of water.
Pokémon that lack the Fighting-type or Steel-type suffer a permanent -1 Accuracy drop, maintained at the end of each round.
No weather except Sandstorm can be summoned here.

Castle Breaker Cave - Dust Storm

If there was anything that was for certain, that would be that this was a batshit crazy round. Not only did Mankey completely lose any sort of sanity he had in his rage with his potential +16 Attack, but Archen was also reduced to a prison of ice. Too bad the dust storm skewed HASHORN's first Ice Beam to the point that it missed...

Steel Will Cavern - Shining Cavern

Things go according to plan this round, with the light not bothering Turbo Man, you go through & wipe Shieldon with ease, & look poised to subject Bronzor to a world of hurt!

Pokemon that lack the Fighting-type and Steel-type suffer a permanent -1 Accuracy drop, maintained at the end of each round.
No weather except Sandstorm can be summoned here.

Castle Breaker Cave - The Great Maze

Figuring that North would be a good direction to travel in, you decide to head north, & find yourself in a different room.

This room is shrouded in complete darkness. You cannot see anything in front of you. Feeling your way along a wall, you manage to cross half the room, but suddenly, you are conscious of something else there. You can hear its rattling breaths, but cannot see what it is. Panicking, you take a step back, and step on... A torch! The light goes on, but it appears to stun the Pokémon that was in front of you! Its hands instinctively go up to cover its eyes, until they adjust. Then it stares you down, then drags away your Gastrodoom, but not before breaking the flash-light. It will take you 2 rounds to find where exactly in the large room the battle is happening.

Arena: Great Maze Caves

The caves of the great maze possess no visible source of water, but are otherwise not particularly notable. There are rocks scattered in the rooms.

Summary:
No external source of water.

Steel Will Cavern - Narrow Caverns

You crawl through the tunnel with your Pokémon ahead of you for safety. You notice that this area is far darker than the clearing you just exited from. As you pause for a minute at a fork to decide which direction to take, suddenly, you are pounced upon by a Machop & a Tyrogue! They make off with Clown Man & Turbo Man respectively! You have just 1 Pokémon to help you catch up with those Pokémon, & you must choose who to follow first.

a) Follow Machop.
b) Follow Tyrogue.

(Note from IAR: There are two different Trap Encounters going simultaneously — Machop vs. Conkeldurr, & Tyrogue vs. Fidgit)

Narrow Caverns

The 2 caverns are nearly identical. The area is extremely cramped, and the only aid to vision are some scattered shiny gems, but they are nowhere near as common as the Shining Cavern. The ground here seems hard to the touch, & it will be too difficult to dig into it. Once more, you cannot find any source of water in the vicinity.

Summary:
Arena Type: Cave
No external source of water.
Pokémon that lack the Fighting-type or Steel-type suffer a permanent -1 Accuracy drop, maintained at the end of each round.
No weather except Sandstorm can be summoned here.

Steel Will Cavern - Narrow Caverns

On one of the two paths, a do nothing round ensued as Clown Man intimidated Machop into repeatedly meditating with random movements that the Machop clearly did not like. Oh well.

On the other of the two paths,Turbo Man holds his own quite comfortably through the darkness, striking accurately & powerfully to leave a large dent in Tyrogue, for not much in return.

After running down a long corridor, you finally manage to reach Tyrogue! The Pokémon, seeing you coming with backup, scampers the way it came. As you give chase, you notice it takes the path in the fork that leads to your other Pokémon. You estimate your other Pokémon will have to endure another turn before you & the trap Pokémon make it there to give it relief.

Narrow Caverns

The 2 caverns are nearly identical. The area is extremely cramped, and the only aid to vision are some scattered shiny gems, but they are nowhere near as common as the Shining Cavern. IMANALT

Castle Breaker Cave - The Great Maze

The Heal Ball fails, but the Sport Ball does the trick, easily catching the Rhydon without too much difficulty! Well done.

After your match, you turn your attention back to the maze. There appears to be four directions you can go in. Which direction will you head in?

a) Head North.
b) Head East.
c) Head West.
d) Head South.

Steel Will Cavern - Narrow Caverns

Well you manage to shut down the Lackeys for a round bar a random struggle from Machop, but you do manage to take out the Tyrogue, & only Machop remains!
