Default OMG kecleon ownage. (warstory)

Another warstory this time against Lou Chyper, and although it isn't as exciting in terms of numbers (pokes left). There are good predictions being made. Also lefties and sandstorm aren't omitted, but are not bolded either as the rest of the battle is.

This were our teams, only the lead is in order:

My team

Lou Chyper's team:

Rules: Ladder Match, Sleep Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Evasion Clause, Species Clause, Strict Damage Clause

Lou Cypher sent out Sanaito (lvl 100 Gardevoir ?).
milotic111 sent out Chameleon (lvl 100 Kecleon ?).
Sanaito traced Chameleon's Color Change!
Chameleon used Magic Coat.
Chameleon created a barrier!
Sanaito used Hypnosis.
Sanaito fell asleep!---

Lou Cypher: ......That was slightly unexpected
milotic111: hi
milotic111: I have seen you around smogon right?
Lou Cypher: Quite possibly

Chameleon is tightening its focus!
Lou Cypher switched in Snippy Snippy, Now youre Eunuchy (lvl 100 Scizor ?).
Chameleon used Focus Punch.
A critical hit!
Snippy Snippy, Now youre Eunuchy lost 100% of its health.
Lou Cypher's Snippy Snippy, Now youre Eunuchy fainted.---

6-5 for me

I got a bit lucky here, but I doubt he would have done much damage. If it was a batton-passer/stat-upper it would have eaten a focus-punch, and if it attacked I would have switched to a good counter.

Lou Cypher switched in Freak O' Nature (lvl 100 Machamp ?).
milotic111 switched in Hermitcrab (lvl 100 Slowbro ?).
Freak O' Nature used Dynamicpunch.
It's not very effective...
Hermitcrab lost 20% of its health.
Freak O' Nature lost 10% of its health.
Hermitcrab's leftovers restored its health a little!
Hermitcrab restored 6% of its health.

Obvious switch to slowbro, machamp can't hurt him.
---

Freak O' Nature used Stone Edge.
Hermitcrab lost 27% of its health.
Freak O' Nature lost 10% of its health.
Hermitcrab used Calm Mind.
Hermitcrab's special attack was raised.
Hermitcrab's special defence was raised.
Hermitcrab's leftovers restored its health a little!
Hermitcrab restored 6% of its health.

---
Lou Cypher switched in Blood Red Sandman (lvl 100 Tyranitar ?).
Blood Red Sandman's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm!
A sandstorm brewed!
Hermitcrab used Slack Off.
Hermitcrab restored 35% of its health.
The sandstorm rages.
Hermitcrab is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Hermitcrab lost 6% of its health.
Hermitcrab's leftovers restored its health a little!
Hermitcrab restored 6% of its health.

I was expecting a criticalhit from stone-edge, so I recovered. I should have just surfed. But it is obvious that he is not going to attack, he expects me to switch, wich I am not going to do. (same applies for infernape/random dragon who caries a fire-move to counter skarm against scizor, soooo obvious he is plotting/SD-ing/sub-ing/dd-ing on the switch.
---
Blood Red Sandman used Substitute.
Blood Red Sandman lost 25% of its health.
Blood Red Sandman made a substitute!
Hermitcrab used Surf.
It's super effective!
The substitute took damage for Blood Red Sandman!
Blood Red Sandman's substitute faded!
The sandstorm rages.
Hermitcrab is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Hermitcrab lost 6% of its health.
Blood Red Sandman's leftovers restored its health a little!
Blood Red Sandman restored 6% of its health.
Hermitcrab's leftovers restored its health a little!
Hermitcrab restored 6% of its health.

And I was right.

---
Lou Cypher: Crap....If it wasn't for that weird way of stopping Gardevoir, I could've stopped that thing ever so easy

Lou Cypher switched in Sanaito (lvl 100 Gardevoir ?).
Sanaito traced Hermitcrab's Own Tempo!
Hermitcrab used Surf.
Sanaito lost 54% of its health.
The sandstorm rages.
Sanaito is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Sanaito lost 6% of its health.
Hermitcrab is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Hermitcrab lost 6% of its health.
Hermitcrab's leftovers restored its health a little!
Hermitcrab restored 6% of its health.

I could of course eliminate it now, but this is a great chance to get one-other cm in. Just hope it won't wake up.
---
Sanaito is fast asleep!
Hermitcrab used Calm Mind.
Hermitcrab's special attack was raised.
Hermitcrab's special defence was raised.
---
Sanaito is fast asleep!
Hermitcrab used Surf.
Sanaito lost 34% of its health.
Lou Cypher's Sanaito fainted.
The sandstorm rages.
Hermitcrab is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Hermitcrab lost 6% of its health.
Hermitcrab's leftovers restored its health a little!
Hermitcrab restored 6% of its health.

6-4 for me

Paid off.
---
Lou Cypher switched in Magcargo Wannabe (lvl 100 Heatran ?).

milotic111: but now you don't, glad to see that kecleon isn't dead weight

Magcargo Wannabe used Explosion.
Hermitcrab lost 74% of its health.
Lou Cypher's Magcargo Wannabe fainted.
Hermitcrab used Surf.
But there was no target!
The sandstorm rages.
Hermitcrab is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Hermitcrab lost 6% of its health.
Hermitcrab's leftovers restored its health a little!
Hermitcrab restored 6% of its health.

6-3 for me
---
milotic111: should had seen that
Lou Cypher: Yeah, with his lucky CH on FPunch to boot
Lou Cypher: That was so sick
milotic111: sorry for that

As I said, I should have seen that coming from a mile away. Heatran is weak to water and I used surf. Of course it is going to boom. Should have used slack-off.

Lou Cypher switched in Freak O' Nature (lvl 100 Machamp ?).
Freak O' Nature used Stone Edge.
Hermitcrab lost 26% of its health.
milotic111's Hermitcrab fainted.
Freak O' Nature lost 10% of its health.
The sandstorm rages.
Freak O' Nature is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Freak O' Nature lost 6% of its health.

5-3 for me
---
milotic111 switched in Sceptile (lvl 100 Sceptile ?).
Sceptile used Leaf Storm.
Freak O' Nature lost 64% of its health.
Lou Cypher's Freak O' Nature fainted.
Sceptile's special attack was harshly lowered.
The sandstorm rages.
Sceptile is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Sceptile lost 6% of its health.

5-2 for me
---
Lou Cypher switched in Haxy ***** (lvl 100 Garchomp ?).

milotic111: hate that thing

milotic111 switched in Chameleon (lvl 100 Kecleon ?).
Haxy ***** used Substitute.
Haxy ***** lost 25% of its health.
Haxy ***** made a substitute!
The sandstorm rages.
Chameleon is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Chameleon lost 6% of its health.
Chameleon's leftovers restored its health a little!
Chameleon restored 6% of its health.
---

Substitute on garchomp..... I bet it's going to swordsdance, what a wonderful oppertunity to get some attack boost.

Chameleon used Snatch.
Chameleon waits for a target to make a move!
Chameleon snatched Haxy *****'s move!
Chameleon's attack was sharply raised.
The sandstorm rages.
Chameleon is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Chameleon lost 6% of its health.
Chameleon's leftovers restored its health a little!
Chameleon restored 6% of its health.
---
Lou Cypher: ....You got to be kidding me
milotic111: I would have participated, if not for my exams
milotic111: no I am not
milotic111: why would I switch it in otherwise?
Lou Cypher: I never knew that thing could be so...annoying

And now he's going to attack, seeing that I have a boost and he can't boost. AND he knows I have focus-punch. Too bad that kecleon is good at taking hits.

Chameleon used Sucker Punch.
The substitute took damage for Haxy *****!
Haxy *****'s substitute faded!
Haxy ***** used Dragon Claw.
Chameleon lost 53% of its health.
Chameleon became the Dragon type!
The sandstorm rages.
Chameleon is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Chameleon lost 6% of its health.
Chameleon's leftovers restored its health a little!
Chameleon restored 6% of its health.

I think he's going to use substitute or swordsdance. He doesn't know if sucker-punch KO's if he attacks, and I don't think he wants to take the risk. I am hoping for a sub though.
---
Chameleon used Snatch.
Chameleon waits for a target to make a move!
Chameleon snatched Haxy *****'s move!
Chameleon lost 25% of its health.
Chameleon made a substitute!
The sandstorm rages.
Chameleon is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Chameleon lost 6% of its health.
Chameleon's leftovers restored its health a little!
Chameleon restored 6% of its health.

Phew, that paid off. Well it wasn't too bad if he attacked. Gastrodon would have frozen him.
---
milotic111: thanx for the sub
Lou Cypher: .........kyaaaaah

Now that I have a sub, I can focus-punch freely, it doesn't matter what he does.

Chameleon is tightening its focus!
Haxy ***** used Substitute.
Haxy ***** lost 25% of its health.
Haxy ***** made a substitute!
Chameleon used Focus Punch.
The substitute took damage for Haxy *****!
Haxy *****'s substitute faded!
The sandstorm rages.
Chameleon is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Chameleon lost 6% of its health.
Chameleon's leftovers restored its health a little!
Chameleon restored 6% of its health.

Again >_>

---
Chameleon is tightening its focus!
Haxy ***** used Dragon Claw.
It's super effective!
The substitute took damage for Chameleon!
Chameleon's substitute faded!
Chameleon used Focus Punch.
A critical hit!
Haxy ***** lost 50% of its health.
Lou Cypher's Haxy ***** fainted.
The sandstorm rages.
Chameleon is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Chameleon lost 6% of its health.
Chameleon's leftovers restored its health a little!
Chameleon restored 6% of its health.

5-1 for me

The crit was overkill and completely unnessesarry, after all I had a sd boost.
---
Lou Cypher: And yknow
milotic111: ?
Lou Cypher: Why dont you just KEEP CH'ing to add insult to injury

Lou Cypher switched in Blood Red Sandman (lvl 100 Tyranitar ?).
Blood Red Sandman's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm!

milotic111: wouldn't have mattered
milotic111: I had a swordsdance
Lou Cypher: Adds insult to injury

Tyranitar, seeing as how I murdered garchomp I am thinking he'll finish me at once. So I decide to do as much damage as possible by using sucker-punch. I was very close to use snatch however, and I should have taken the risk. If kecleon died due to an attack I could get sceptile in to kill with leafstorm. And if Ttar did something else, kecleon would have benefited.

Chameleon used Sucker Punch.
But it failed!
Blood Red Sandman used Substitute.
Blood Red Sandman lost 25% of its health.
Blood Red Sandman made a substitute!
The sandstorm rages.
Chameleon is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Chameleon lost 6% of its health.
Blood Red Sandman's leftovers restored its health a little!
Blood Red Sandman restored 6% of its health.
Chameleon's leftovers restored its health a little!
Chameleon restored 6% of its health.
---
milotic111: arg
milotic111: I was doubting
Lou Cypher: Heh
milotic111: I thought you woudn't fall for that again
Lou Cypher: 21% health

Chameleon is tightening its focus!
Blood Red Sandman used Ice Beam.
It's super effective!
Chameleon lost 22% of its health.
milotic111's Chameleon fainted.
Chameleon became the Ice type!
The sandstorm rages.
Blood Red Sandman's leftovers restored its health a little!
Blood Red Sandman restored 6% of its health.

4-1 for me

And so kecleon faints, but this is boa and not a dancer. If it lacks a fire-move scizor will survive the focuspunch (max hp takes a lot. Survives from brelom) and the pity sp.att afterwards. If it has a fire-move slowbro breaks his sub to make way for sceptile.
---
milotic111 switched in Mantis (lvl 100 Scizor ?).
Blood Red Sandman is tightening its focus!
Mantis used X-Scissor.
It's super effective!
The substitute took damage for Blood Red Sandman!
Blood Red Sandman's substitute faded!
Blood Red Sandman used Focus Punch.
Mantis lost 47% of its health.
The sandstorm rages.
Blood Red Sandman's leftovers restored its health a little!
Blood Red Sandman restored 6% of its health.

See, focus-punch doesn't do much. And it doesn't have a fire-move. Now to take the icebeam/dark-pulse and finish with ironhead.
---
Mantis used Iron Head.
It's super effective!
Blood Red Sandman lost 75% of its health.
Lou Cypher's Blood Red Sandman fainted.
milotic111 wins!

?!?!?! I was faster...... weird. Well woudn't have mattered much anyway.

milotic111: gg
Lou Cypher: Gratz. That Kecleon is awesome
milotic111: thanx
milotic111: It's rare for him to shine
Lou Cypher: Do you use it for a while already?
milotic111: yes
milotic111: once every four battles it does really well
milotic111: and 2 out of four it dies at once
Lou Cypher: A Kecleon killing a Garchomp and a Scizor, while disabling my Super Surprise Gardevoir
milotic111: you would never have beleived it if you hadn't saw it
Lou Cypher: Prolly not

Time for pro's and cons.

Pros:
Kecleon for killing garchomp and scizor, and sleeping yet another sleep-lead.
Sceptile for being a reliable pokemon to fall back on if things didn't went as they went.
Slowbro for walling Machamp.
Lou Chyper for a great match

Cons:
Not seeing that heatran would explode
Not taking the risk against tar.
Crit hax on his scizor.
Being a 4-0 match.

Please leave comments, I would like to know what people think of this.

Loved the Kecleon action. :)

Can you put the score after each KO? Thanks.

Hahaha.

Although I don't enjoy log + comments much, that was some very nice Kecleon maneuvering you did there.

How was it obvious that he was not going to attack? You were basically banking on Tyranitar to be Boah, only one of Tyranitar's four viable sets, since CBTar beats Slowbro handily and I think the other two sets (Life Orb DDTar/MixTar) still 2HKO with Crunch and sandstorm damage.

As for the "obvious" stat-up on the switch, it really depends on the player.

Not specifally boah. For a DD-set I should have stayed in aswell (DD or sub on the switch is not good). And if people switch in pokemon that are obviously capable of killing/hurting my current one AND capable of setting up. Than they will set up on the switch for 90% of the time. At least that is my experience, I don't know if the same aplies to you.

Most likely because Keckleon is slow as shit but still managed to have snatch override the SD and Sub.

This is one of the coolest battles I've seen! I always liked the idea between Magic Coat and Snatch, but there're few Pokémon that can use it effectively =(
Anyways, congrats on the Keckleon!
