Gengar (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Thunderbolt
- Hypnosis

Gengar can take out the most types on my team, and outspeeds literally everything. Shadow Ball dishes out huge damage to anything it hits for Super Effective damage. Focus Blast knocks off 1/3 of the standard Blissey's health, and destroys Weavile. Hypnosis cripples speedy sweepers and Walls that I would usually have trouble with. Thunderbolt kills Gyarados, and destroys other Flying and Water types.

Cresselia (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/104 Def/154 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Thunder Wave
- Moonlight
- Reflect

Cresselia is my support numper two. Thunder Wave is for crippling sweepers that are faster than mine, which proves to work well. Reflect the physical damage damage done to my sweepers, allowing them to sweep for longer. And Moonlight is just there to keep Cresselia alive. Ice Beam 2HKO common dragons in OU.

Forretress (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/ 108 Atk/148 Def
Relaxed nature (Def, -Spe)
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Zap Cannon
- Spikes

Fory will wall down any Physical Pokemon, and if they aren't Ground, Paralyse them with Zap Cannon. This also works on Gyarados to work as a Gyara counter. Rapid Spin helps out my Gyarados, which is weak to Stealth Rock, Earthquake makes Magnezone, on a switch, easier to kill, and Spikes is there for what Fory does best.

Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP/216 Atk/52 SAtk
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spe)
- Earthquake
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Roar

dpmfa214.png

Heracross (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Guts
EVs: 104 HP/252 Atk/154 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Stone Edge
- Night Slash

dpmfa130.png

Gyarados @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 212 HP / 8 Atk / 184 Def / 104 Spe
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Waterfall
- Dragon Dance
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Very good looking team, you seem to have everything covered, good offence as well as offence.

You should prolly go CB on Heracross. I would go Pursuit, since it intimidates many pokemon to switch out, and you can hit them hard with a Pursuit. I better EV Spread got RestTalk Gyarados can be 212 HP/196 Def/100 SDef.

For some reason, I find Hidden Power Ice a better choice on ScarfGar. You never know what might happen in a battle with a Cresselia, it's better to have a back-up like Gengar, fast, but it's just my opinion.

Definitely use Choice Band on Heracross, as it will be your only real way you can deal with Suicune, who otherwise walls your entire team. Heracross's strength is in hitting switch in hard and Life Orb Heracross misses out on quite a bit of 2HKOs.

This is a personal preference but I would use Light Screen on Cresselia as your team lacks a real special wall, meaning NP Togekiss, or even Scarf Togekiss and even Yanmega could do a lot of damage to this team. Gyardos has no problems finding things to switch in on and same with Swampert, and Weavile can't switch in anyway.

Eh I agree with the first two posters but I see some ridiculous weaks. First of all, anything that has a Choice Specs, especially Mence can kill this team one by one. The only pokemon that can actually hit it is Weavile and Swampert, and you can't switch them in to counter it. Cresselia takes 60.36% - 71.17% from a DracoMeteor, and about 50% from a Lifeorbed one. After a just a few turns it will get worn out. You have no Steel pokemon on your team, which could help out with special attacks. Something like StalkTran you should consider. That case Gyarados can become a regular DDer or something.

Enemy Gengar can be pretty annoying too. Weavile doesn't have Pursuit and Cresselia is 2hko'd by a Timid Shadowball. Lum berry is a cool idea on Weavile but honestly I think the regular CB'd version would help alot. CBHera with Pursuit could solve this problem somewhat too. Pursuit in general will take out annoying pokemon like Starmie and Gengar that otherwise dent your team.

I see a slight Gyarados weakness. Gengar is the only one that can Outspeed it, but it can't necessarily be switched in. Taunt Gyara screws up Thunderwave from Cress. But I see how you can work your way around it. Chargebeam on Cress > Twave will help if it happends to be a Tauntgyara.

I do like the offense that this team brings to the table, whilst using Cressilia and Swampert to spread Thunder Wave and set up Stealth Rock. With that said, it seems that even the offensive Pokemon must resort to alot of opposed attacking in order to counter specific threats.

I don't particulary like Cressilia and Gengar on the same team, with regards to them both being weak to the ever so common Pursuit. More importantly, Dark-type and Ghost-type moves such as Crunch and Shadow Ball that are found on common Pokemon like Tyranitar and opposing Gengar are something to look out for. Though you might not have the most effective defensive Pokemon, you still have every type covered in one way or another, even if it is Weavile resisting both Ghost and Dark-types...

Gyarados' threat was immediately on my mind when I looked at the team, with your only way around it is to bring in Gengar on the common Dragon Dance, to then outspeed it with Thunderbolt due to Choice Scarf. However, a good player will most likely anticipate your Gengar's item before risking the attack, and therefore will switch out for another time - which will then hesitate your Gengar switch in the next time Gyarados could set up, because you may end up meeting a Waterfall to the face. Taunt will rid any attempt of a Cressilia and its Thunder Wave to stop Gyarados in its tracks. So to sum up, Gyarados with Waterfall, Stone-Edge, Dragon Dance and Taunt, won't have too much trouble ending the match soon with a sweep. This can be fixed easily without changing a Pokemon on your team to account for such weakness, and the answer would be Charge Beam Cressilia. Personally, I would change the set completely and make it into a Rest, Sleep Talk set. Not only a reliable Gyarados counter, but you will have the advent of a "status absorber". Ice Beam or Psychic is dependent on who you would like to counter effectively; Garchomp and Salamence or Infernape. I think it would be best to opt for Ice Beam in relation to Garchomp and Salamene's potential to break this team down completely, as they regulary do with any team.

Ironically, you should be careful against opposing Gengar, as Mystica has said before me. Without Pursuit, you're in danger of losing to an identical set that's also in your team, Choice Scarf Gengar. Choice Band + Pursuit on Weavle as oppose to Lum Berry + Swords Dance will allow you to get rid of Gengar early. May not be a full-proof counter, but it certainly does the job when called upon.

A combination of Forretress and Zapdos will be your most likely worst opposition. Forretress hasn't much trouble in setting up at all here, and once Toxic Spikes are eventually up, Zapdos will be forcing out Pokemon such as Gyarados, Gengar, Cressilia and Swampert often enough to wear most of the team down.

I don't know why it hasn't been given as an option to replace a Pokemon here, but I certainly will do. I think that Weavile, Gengar and Heracross on one team (may it be very threatening, offensively), they're fairly brittle and in general, weak...defensively.

Which one to replace, you ask? Well...it's not as if they were used for resistances anyway, so I doubt it matters much. Though I do believe Weavile surves some purpose here (when/if you add Pursuit, of course), as it will be able to remedy Gengar, Starmie and anything else that's annoying. Heracross was benifical to Thunder Wave you had, but because I advised you to swap that out, I don't think Choice Band Heracross will be as effective as it once was with the paralyze support. Of course it's still a threat. Gengar may the 2 Ghost-type weakness, but it serves as a remarkable "revenge killer" and your only way to sleep a Pokemon on the opponent's team with Hypnosis. Looking ahead, though, it seems as if Starmie would be a great replacement for say...Heracross because it can counter Infernape completely, allowing your Cressilia to use Ice Beam>Psychic (on the advised set above), but it will also give you a 100% Gyarados counter, and finally, Rapid Spin so you can rid of Spikes, Stealth Rock and the ever so dangerous, Toxic Spikes. Though this means that it would be ludacris to add another type that's weak to Ghost and Dark. I mean...Gengar, Cressilia and Starmie on one team is over the top, and is not needed, even though they all have their own respective responsiblities.

So that would then lead me to replace Cressilia or Gengar to make room for Starmie. Which would then open up a Salamence and Garchomp weakness, in some respect. That means that the difference in between what Cressilia could do, and what Starmie could not do needs attention so that it can be countered. And that's where Heatran comes in. Heatran's common Rest / Sleep Talk / Lava Plume / Earth Power set will be a considerable special wall and a sleep enducer. Gyarados would then be covered by Starmie.

In all, the team will sacrafice Cressilia and Heracross for Heatran and Starmie. Here are the sets:

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 172 HP/216 Spd/120 Satk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Surf
- Rapid Spin
- Recover

and...

Heatran (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP/90 SAtk/168 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

So there you have your alternative Pokemon.

I would want to conclude this up with the changes I recommended earlier on Weavile, becomming a Choice Band set. And a different Gyarados EV spread:

Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 212 HP/8 Atk/184 Def/104 Spd
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Gives you maximun Leftovers recovery, speed to outspeed Garchomp after one Dragon Dance (providing it's not holding Choice Scarf), and a more defensive spread to take Lucario's attacks, and the like.

Swampert needs 216 EVs in defense, and not attack - change that.

All I have time for, so good luck!

Ok well Taylor... I was testing the team after those changes you gave me and they didn't work for me... So this si the alternative above. Rate away :)

The only thing i see that could break you with relative ease is Yanmega. Sure, this may seem situational, but all yanmega needs is to protect that thunderbolt and it'll start sweeping through your team. Sure Gyarados can stop him, but it could be a pleasant suprise if he throws a HP Lightning on you. Throw in a heatran, and you're good to go.
