Intro:
It has always been said, how Garchomp has to be moved to Uber because of its apparent "brokenness". Well I made this team, with the sole purpose of attempting to demonstrate how dangerous this beast can really be, with the proper team to help it. This team got me to a respectful rating of 1647 on Shoddy, but I stopped laddering because I got a bit tired of it. Now I'm back, and I wanna make this team better than before.

Game Plan:
As the team's name says, the idea si to destroy all the counters of one pokemon, said pokemon being Garchomp. Everything on my team does an amazing job at supporting Garchomp and slowly opening up his way for an awesome late-game sweep where it seems unebeatable. The team can range fron the standardness of SDYache Chomp, to the surprise factor provided by ScarfTar. I now present to you,Team Counter Destroyer.

In Depth:

bronzong.png
@ Lum Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/152 Atk/8 Def/96 SDef
Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Hypnosis
- Gyro Ball
- Stealth Rock
- Explosion

Description: Bronzong is by far one of the best pokemon D/P brought for the metagame, capable of walling hits from various pokemon, such as Garchomp, Tyranitar, and Weavile. Along with its awesome typing, Bronzong is not scared to switch into many things.

EVs: EVs are pretty much standard. 152 Atk has a very nice shot a OHKO'ing Gengar, while Lum Berry allows me to absorb sleep. The rest of the EVs provide bulkiness.

Team Work: Bronzong provides an early SR, gets pokemon to sleep, takes out Gengar, and can take out one pokemon with Explosion. I don't normally run Explosion on this guy, but seeing as how I have a bulky Gyarados, I think this guy can just go all-out offense on anything he sees. He can counter the likes of Garchomp and Mamoswine and Weavile, but honestly I prefer that he packs an early KO with Explosion.

tyranitar.png
@ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/ 6 Sp Atk
Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Crunch
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt

Description: Tyranitar is a pokemon that at the same time providing offense, can provide excellent special walling thanks to its Sand Stream ability. The one stat it lacks (Speed), will be boosted by the Choice Scarf surprising the opponnets in many moments of the game. This set was created by Kirchinator from Smogon, I do not take any credit for making it.

EVs: The spread allows it to out speed all base 115's at their max. OHKO's Infernape and Lucario with EQ. 2HKO's Starmie while surviving a surf. Most importantly, this spread allows a OHKO with crunch on the common CBdugtrio

Team Work:This set takes care of all hindrances that outspeed and stop a Chomp sweep. The fact that nobody expects this guy to be scarfed is a major plus. Takes care of all the pokemon mentioned above. Only pokes that this guy can't stop are Weavile and Mamoswine. But that can be taken care of by another one of my members.

462.png
@ Leftovers
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 172 HP/190 Spd/148 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Substitute
- Magnet Rise
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Description: Ahhh Magnezone. I always wanted to use this guy, because he is friggin awesome, and I finally found a place for him on one of my teams. Magnezone is without a doubt the best steel killer in the game thanks to its awesome Magnet Pull. Resisting a lot of types including the ever so common BoltBeam is great for my somewhat offensive team.

EVs:The EVs are only different from the standard one in the form that they prevent the Standard Agiligross spread fom outspeeding and will eventually end up to its death.

Team Work: This guy takes care of all those pesky steels such as Zong and Skarm that stand in the way of a Garchomp sweep. This guy can only pack a few KOs on non-steel pokemon with its amazing amount of resistances. When a choiced user is identified using a move that would be not very effective against this guy, he can easily score one or 2 KOs with ease.

gyarados.png
@ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 212 HP/ 8 Atk/184 Def/104 Spd
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Waterfall
- Dragon Dance

Description: Aaahh yes Gyarados. This guy can help against a bunch of common physical threats thanks to its wonderful ability in Intimidate. He is strong enough to take hits, can attack, and can absorb status due to the set I'm using. The main problem Gyara has, is its lack of recovery. With ResTalk, this guy can be a pain.

EVs: Max HP to fend off hits from both Physical and Special side (though it isn't meant to), and the rest of the EVs are just meant for bulkiness.

Team Work: This guy helps against Weavile, Mamoswine, Heracross and Lucario, fending off anything they have to dish out. The most important ones he stop, are the first two mentioned, which can stop a Chomp sweep, but this guy prevents that from happening.

starmie.png
@ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 160 HP/220 Spd/128 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Rapid Spin
- Recover

Description: Starmie has been in most of the teams I've had, and I must say, it has never let me down. Spins those Toxic Spikes and Spikes which could hurt Garchomp while it attempts to sweep. Excellent Gyarados and Mixape counter and takes care of weakened opposing SDChomps with Surf.

EVs: The EVs are pretty standard. 220 Spd + Timid nature allow to
outspeed Gengars and Infernapes as well as outspeeding other Starmie who are at 216 Spd ^__^.

Team Work: Takes care of two big threats, Infernape and Gyarados. Spins away Toxic Spikes, as well as other Spikes and Rocks, and is fast enough to revenge kill some pokes.

garchomp.png
@ Yache Berry
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang
- Swords Dance

Description: The star of the show. Every member of the team, is based to help ths guy start a sweep, and end the game with one. SDYache Chomp takes 2 pokemon to take out, but after its counters being taken out by my other 5 members, there's no stopping this guy.

EVs: As you can see the EVs are very carefully placed.

Team Work: He is the team. Everyone opens ways for him, letting him do his job and finish things up.

Alright guys, this is my team that worked with a lot of success. If you find any flaws or something I could improve, don't hesitate to post. Also I didn't add a threat list because its your job (the rater), to find problems with my team ^__^.

P.S: No I did not just use husk's format xD.

When Garchomp's coupled with Magnezone's ability to trap Steel-types and take them out effectively, I believe that Fire Fang on Garchomp becomes redundant. Okay, we could argue that Fire Fang potentially comes in handy if Magnezone was premeturially taken out beforehand. But when constructing a team, we must build it with solid theories that aren't a case of "What if?", but moreso based around solid theory, for example, "Magnezone clears Steel-types for Garchomp's Dragon Claw and Earthquake combination sweep". There's no need for Fire Fang's presense in this particular team, so I strongly suggest you replace it for Substitute.

Substitute's scouting capabilities certainly benifit the eventual Garchomp sweep. It's natural that Substitute helps sweepers see the outcome before it is even played, therefore granting you the reward of knowing your next move without fail.

Alternatively to your own Gyarados, I'd be inclined to run a slightly different EV spread - one that I personally prefer.

---
Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 212 HP/8 Atk/184 Def/104 Spd
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

With this EV spread we are able to successfully care for physical threats whilst still posing an immediate threat, despite using an Impish nature over the original Adamant. The Speed EVs outspeed Tyranitar without Dragon Dance, and after one Dragon Dance we're surely to outspeed any Garchomp that are not holding Choice Scarf. Defense EVs are set for the 'magical' number, which is where for only 4 EVs we are rewarded with an additional stat in Defense, which in total is two.

Thanks for the spread, I'll certainly be replacing the old one. On the taking out Fire Fang for Substitute...I assume I should take off the Yache Berry for Salac, no?

Yes, Stone Edge is as equally viable as Substitute. In any case, you must find the item to suit. With Stone Edge, I recommend keeping Yache Berry on Garchomp. On the other hand, use BrightPowder / Salac Berry / Life Orb (in order of importance, starting from the most prefered) for the Substitute set.

As I have told you in marriland, I think that this team is weak to LO gyarados
With SR support and 1 DD, it can OHKO starmie most of the times, it will outspeed and OHKO your scarftar and it will beat your sleeptalk Gyara.
Your only hope is explode with Bronzong or beat it with Garchomp when it is low of health because LO recoil, which means losing at least 2 pokes, and Waterfall can flinch (both are 2HKOed by Waterfall)

Trying to beat it with your own Gyarados is a bad idea because it will let it to DD, and if it beats your Gyara, nothing in your team would be able to stop it

I'm not really sure why you're running all those SpAtk EVs on Tyranitar. The stuff he needs to beat (Skarm, Forry, Gliscor) are all KO'd in the same number of hits whether you run 188 EVs or 0 EVs. The boost doesn't guarantee a OHKO on Chomp either. So maybe there's something you're going for here, but if there is i'm not seeing it. Honestly I would just move those EV's to Atk instead.

Also, just give TTar 252 Speed. Other people run Jolly DD or Scarf Tyranitar too, and the investment needed for the speed tie literally could not be smaller.

Yache is a valuable item on Garchomp, since it allows him to take an extra hit. Substitute may be better in certain conditions, but for the sake of defensive coverage I would go with Yache. (If you decide to use sub as your 4th move do not use yache berry).

It may seem redundant, but Dragon Claw is an excellent 4th move on Garchomp if you have Magnezone one your team. This allows you to use a strong attack that nothing will resist since you have zone, without being locked into anything.

Good Luck; Hope this Helps! --TAY

EDIT: yeah I meant Outrage sorry

Thanks for the info guys. To TAY, I will ivest all thos Sp Atk EVs to Atk, as I mentioned the set was not created by myself, and I really didn't go the extra mile to seach for what the EVs do. I will also go for the max speed.

As for my Garchomp's item, I will test SubSalac and Brightpowder, as well as the Yache Berry I already have.

TAY in your last statement, I think you meant Outrage, no? If so I will also consider it, to finish off with a strong attack not resisted by anything.

It has been pointed out to me that, well LO Gyarados can rip my team apart (Thanks husk ^__^;), so any suggestions?

ooooooooooooh, Porygon2... how we love youuuuuuuuuuuuu ooh ooh ooh

*ahem*

Anyways, Porygon2 beats ANY Gyarados, so if you have a problem with DD LO Gyarados, Porygon2 is your man. He can also switch into Scarftrans and stuff... Trace just never gets old. Or, you could opt for Pulse's Counter DXS in the Analysis workshop, it looks pretty awesome, and can take Gyarado's biggest hits and survive to recover.

I reccomend getting rid of Starmie for Porygon2, but then you'll have to rely on Gyarados and Garchomp to kill Infernape, or, worst case scenario, have Ttar revenge it. If you go for Deoxys, you have a less reliable Gyarados counter, but a better garchomp counter.

Lol, no shout-out for me? :P Just kidding. I thought I'd post to say what a great team this is. I still prefer to use Iggy's MixTar and Salac SD Chomp for this team, but either way it really is a great one. While the latter is just a personal preference, I really encourage the former to help get wear down Celebi, Cresselia, Slowbro, and other sturdy Psychics that fuck up Garchomp. Here is the set one more time so you can test it out.

Tyranitar (M) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 108 HP/168 Atk/96 SAtk/136 SDef
Brave nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Fire Blast
- Ice Beam
- Crunch
- Pursuit / Earthquake

'Grats on hitting #5 and I hope you can climb even higher with it man.

Darn forgot to post about how you helped me xD. Sorry lol.

Anyway, I will try that out along with the rest of the things I have planned out for testing. Looks like an interesting set, and sometimes I would like Ttar to hit harder lol. Thanks Pulse <3

Lemme know how the testing goes. And I was joking about the shoutout, lol. Also, does +1 Atk LO Gyara OHKO Starmie? If not, you should have as much coverage as you can afford on this team. It's hard to counter on a team like this, so I'd just stick with Starmie.
