Megaman 9

Tons of Gamers have been waiting for this game to come out, and now it has... in a very big way. The Blue Bomber's first NES style game in over ten years does not dissapoint, as it brings back all that is good about Megaman while making it better at the same time. Megaman 9 will surely satisfy any itch you may have for a Hard, but oh so fun old school Platformer.
In this game, you take control of a blue robot named Megaman, whose goal is to defeat 8 robot masters, who each have their own long and difficult stage for you to conquer. In this game Megaman Runs, Jumps and Shoots like he did best, but unfortunately, that's about all he does. Some Megaman staples like the Dash, Slide and charge shot are missing from the game, but that's the point, make it REALLY old school. The difficulty level of the game is also something to consider. This game is much harder than any of the NES megaman games, which are arguably the hardest of the entire series. It's like a cruel joke to a ten year old kid that gets this game cause he thinks that Megaman looks cool, and gets his ass kicked 8 times over. All kidding aside though, this game is very hard, and requires hours to get past a stage unless you're very, very good. It's not unbeatable, but it takes a fair amount of patience to sustain the 8 bit masterpiece, and to truly enjoy it at the same time.
One new cool feature is the addition of bolts that randomly appear in stages. You can use these bolts to purchase extra lives, energy tanks, or special Items to help you survive the unsurviveable. There are also several missions that you can try to achieve for extra unlockables. These can be Tame (Defeat a boss with only the mega buster), or near impossible (Clear the game without taking any damage). This enocourages you to defeat each stage better, faster, and sneakier. You will even be able to download more content like more difficulty, and a hidden character!
Of course if you're looking for a Great 3D Graphics with dynamic voice acting and a Great Camera... download something else. The music is just fantastic, Fast and Powerful, albeit beeps and boops and exactly what you need to accompany your quest to beat some badass robots. Like the NES games before it, Megaman 9 also has all the slowdown and Graphical flashes you'd expect from an NES style game, and this only adds to the experience significantly more. Though some gamers would not bother for graphics like this, since they're just Attrocious by today's standards, it's meant to relive the glory days of Megaman, and there's no other way to do it like 2-D.
So if you have 1000 wii points hanging around, or even not, I strongly encourage you to grab Megaman 9. This is one game that will not leave you feeling blue!
