I'm 6 years late to the party, but Morrowind is an incredible game

Anyone still play this? I just started recently. The interface is kinda poor (though not awful), but the gameplay is utterly fabulous. It doesn't even look outdated because a bunch of people went and made super-high-res replacement textures for everything. So high-res that apparently 512 mb of video memory isn't enough and it occasionally causes a bit of slowdown on my newer machine.

I've only been playing for about four hours so far. Haven't even left Seyda Neen (that town at the start) yet; I'm on some mission to watch where this dude is hiding money. And then do something with it. I really enjoy how the game doesn't require me to do something with it; if I want to give it to this dude to 'complete the quest' I can, if I want to tell him to fuck himself and keep it I can, and if I want to be a nice guy and let the initial owner keep his money I can do that too. Whatever I choose, it's a valid choice in the game.

One of this game's greatest strengths is in its mods. After I finish the over-one-hundred gameplay hours, I can install any damn amount of downloadable content in new quests. (I already have a bunch installed at the start -- though not many new quests, mostly other neat mods.) If you've played the game before, what sort of mods do you use? A small sample of what I've installed is:
- Take All button (this really should have come with the game; it gives you a "take all" option.)
- A couple small quests for low- and mid-level adventures. I had too much stuff running at first and kept crashing so I turned off most of the quest mods I downloaded; I can always turn them back on when I get to newer areas.
- Lots of "girly" mods like new clothes and whatnot.
- All sorts of real estate. Playing house is like the best part of these games.
- Magicka regeneration over time, and magicka gain when you level.
- A bunch of city/town/area enhancements.
- Texture replacers. So much so that it can occasionally cause me to slow down but holy shit the game is gorgeous.

Another great thing about mods and the game in general is that they can make any character choice a valid choice. My character is some sort of Rogue-Mage hybrid right now. If that ends up sucking (as I think straight-up mages do in the game), I can mod the game a bit so it isn't sucky. And in fact, a lot of people have already done that and published what they did.

Maybe my opinion of the game will drop when I finally leave Seyda Neen. But I really doubt it.

I should actually play this game. It's ironic considering I took my name from it but I never actually played this.

heh, this is the reason Blue Kirby and I started.

Anyways, in terms of this game, there is tons and tons of stuff you can do. In all honesty you can go through 250+ hours just by completing every quest in this game without mods.

In terms of what I downloaded for mods, I have texture replacement, some houses, and a few extra sets of clothing. I see myself playing this game forever with the two expansions anyways, so I've decided against getting mods like that.

In terms of my character set, I run a Rogue/Mage myself. I currently have Boots of Constant Effect Chameleon 100%, so I'm not seen by anything. Soul Trap Daedric Dagger, Daedric Dai-Katana with 100 fire damage, and a full set of glass armor. I'm pretty much at god status right now, due to the fact that I don't get hurt for almost any damage unless you're using Arrows (due to all the enchantments I have on my armour) still it's fun to continue all the quests

Anyone still play this?

Absolutely ... it's my favourite game of all times.

If you've played the game before, what sort of mods do you use?

My mod library stands currently stands at 5 gigs ... (and that's after some recent "pruning".

Some of my favourite mods/modders I thoroughly recommend (apologies for length)

Emma/Grumpy - http://lovkullen.net/Emma/index.htm

Notable mods: White Wolf of Lok'Ken Mountain (quest mod), Constance (companion mod), Children of Morrowind

You can also find Kateri's excellent Julan, Ashlander Companion on this site.

Princess Stomper - http://princess.elricm.net/Vvardenfell.htm

Notable mods: Mournhold Expanded, Suran Extended (city expansions), Balmora Council club (quest/home) and Dance of the Three Legged Guar (quest/companion WIP)

Alien Slof - (haven't provided a direct link as the site contains material some might find offensive)

Notable mods: Slof's Goth Shop (male clothing - some of an adult nature), Slof's Better Beasts (body replacer), Slof's BB Skins (Body retexture)

Korana - http://korana.elricm.com/Index.htm

Notable Mods: Solsthem Castle, Pearl Palace, Ascadian Rose Cottage (housing), Clothiers of Vvardenfell (clothing), Falconer Leather (BB armour)

Psychodog Studios

Notable Mods: Better Bodies / Better Clothes.

Less Generic NPC Project - http://lgnpc.sabregirl.com/

THey're all pretty notable, adding diversity to the games many NPCs.

Westly - http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.List&category_show_all=1

Notable mods: Master Head Pack, many race mods (the Kheran are my personal favourite).

I'll stop there, as I could gush on forever ... but if I can answer any questions or you want any advice about mods, please feel free to pm me.

I've seen Princess Stomper and Korana before; they're extremely good artists. About half of Korana's stuff has vanished though, at least when I tried to download it.

Sadly Korana left the modding community after some unpleasantness, and many of her mods were removed after some security issues with her site. However I believe a lot of them have been re-uploaded, with her permission, fairly recently. I know Princess Stomper and a number of other members of the MW community have been working hard to get most of it back up on Elric M's site.

I think the only thing that hasn't been re-uploaded is the Better Looking Liqour, Drugs and Vials and that was at Korana's request.

If there's anything your interested in, but can't get a hold of, just drop me a line and I'll see if I've got it (which is likely as I have most of Korana's stuff).

I've had a copy of the GotY edition of morrowind lying around, unopened for a couple of years now. Youve inspired me to finally give it a go!
Thanks for the list of mods ODDish, any personal recommendations to a new time player? I dont want to change to much, just add small enhancements to make me enjoy the game more.
Oh and Surgo, do you have some sort of link to any of those mods? the low level quests, magicka restoration and town enhancement ones sound interesting...

At the least I would install Better Heads, Better Bodies and Better Clothes, unless you happen to like the original look of the characters (there are some who do) some don't. After that, it really is a matter of personal preferance.

Your main modding sites are ...

http://www.elricm.com/index.htm
http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.List
http://www.tesnexus.com/

As for recommendations there are the "theme and speciality mods list", "empirical morrowind" and "telesphoros' list o mods". None of these have been recently updated but all feature many "classics" and still serve as an excellent starting point for new players. All can be found at http://www.mwmythicmods.com/

Oh, and theres always the forums at Bethesda's official site ...

http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?showforum=5

Hope this helps, and most importantly enjoy.

I played this a very small bit years ago. I've ALWAYS meant to come back to it since I've played Oblivion extensively and I love it. On top of that I've always heard that Morrowind is better (well for the most part, apparently people like myself who played Oblivion first prefer it). I need to find out if and local EBgames have this in stock.

I'm not sure why you can't find it ... the PC version isn't particularly difficult to track down. I live in a two bit town in England and our one and only computer game shop still stocks it.

Where do you live?

The X-box version has no mods. So you want the PC version.

This is the most important mod in all of Morrowind:
Also this is practically required: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=2083 (I think GotY edition has Tribunal & Bloodmoon, if not there's one for just Morrowind).

I'll come back with a more comprehensive list a bit later.

Having extensively (and I mean extensively) played both Morrowind and Oblivion, I can definitely say that there are quite a few aspects of Morrowind that I enjoy more.

Surgo said:
Whatever I choose, it's a valid choice in the game.

This, in my opinion, is Morrowind's biggest draw card over Oblivion, and what will continue to bring me back to the game. As much as I loved Oblivion, if I decided that I wanted a "main character" dead, I couldn't have my wish granted. Sure, I could knock them around a bit, but they would always fall unconscious as opposed to actually dying (and get up a minute later as if nothing had happened). However, in Morrowind, I can go and take on the Daedric God that everyone worships (I'm not going to give too much away!) and if I kill him, he's actually dead. Yeah, I've put the entire world in the crapper, and you are actually told this, but at least you have the option to do so.

As the world expands for you Surgo, I really can't see your opinion of this game dropping. And hey, if it does, download a mod that will fix your issue with it! :D

Okay, here's my mod load list:

Masters for Surgo0000.ess:
Morrowind.esm
Tribunal.esm
Bloodmoon.esm
(Obvious stuff)

Morrowind Patch v1.2.2.esm
Morrowind Patch v1.6.3.esm
(These are the 'unofficial patch' mods)

THE Nord & Orc Facepack.esm
THE Elven Facepack.esm
THE BrImRg Facepack.esm
THE Argonian & Khajiit Facepack.esm
THE Facepack Compilation.esm
THE Morrowind NPC Makeover.esm
(A bunch of new faces so we don't have so many generic creatures out there.)

MCA.esm
(Morrowind Comes Alive, adds a lot of NPCs to various places to do what it says. Also lets them become your companions if you can sucker them into doing so. Only problem I've noticed is that they can be placed in the paths of where other guys normally walk, and the AI for Morrowind is too stupid to find a new path immediately.)

Book Rotate.esm
(Allows you to rotate and move books on bookshelves and have them stay there.)

BM-Fixes.esp
(Unofficial patch for Bloodmoon)
Book Rotate - Bloodmoon v5.3.esp
Book Rotate - Tribunal v5.3.esp
(See above.)

ImprovedTeleportation2.0.esp
(Required for some other stuff.)

Dodge Mod 1.2-WD (Enhanced-LD) (Tribunal).esp
(Makes the Unarmored skill not suck so much.)

Key Replacer MW.esp
Key Replacer Trib & BM.esp
(Makes keys look better, less generic.)

weight_fix_0607.esp
(Lowers the weight of a lot of items that really make you go 'wtf' when you see how heavy they are.)

Syc_HerbalismforPurists.esp (Version 1.2)
Syc_HerbalismforPurists_BM.esp
Syc_HerbalismforPurists_TB.esp
(This mod replaces most of the flowers, plants, whatnot in the game to make it not so retarded. Basically in default Morrowind you open plants like containers to take them. If you think that sounds retarded, you aren't alone. This takes them out and puts various objects in that allows you to pick them up like normal items. I say "most" because I've noticed two or three plants that haven't been replaced in Seyda Neen and the outlying area so far (I'm sure there are more.)

Sris_Alchemy_BM.esp
(Sort of an alchemy makeover. It's cute. This is the newer version of a mod called "homeopathic alchemy".)

Syc_AtHomeAlchemy.esp (Version 1.0)
(Let's you use alchemy equipment when it's sitting on a table instead of needing to have it in your inventory.)

MCA_Companions_Enhanced.esp
MCAFix.esp
MCA Names 5.2.esp
(Add-ons for MCA. Companions Enhanced make the companion AI and actions a lot better. MCAFix removes a lot of characters MCA spawns like footpads that make the game impossible for new players, and are just unbalanced in general. MCA Names gives MCA people less generic, more Morrowind-friendly names.)

Better Bodies.esp
New Argonian Bodies - Mature.esp
New Khajiit Bodies - Mature.esp
(These make people (or animals, in the case of the latter two) look like actual people instead of interlocking legoes.)

Better Clothes_v1.1.esp
BetterClothesForTB.esp
(Clothing meshes made to work with the Better Bodies meshes.)

Divine_domina_part_1.esp
Divine_domina_part_2.esp
Divine_domina_part_3_Tribunal.esp

NG_New_Carnithus'_Armamentarium.esp
Clean PJM Themed bowsets.esp
Clean Long Dresses.esp
Netch Adamantium Armor II.esp
night gallery.esp
The Crimson Wire by Mandamus-EV1.0.esp
(A laundry list of 'girly' mods. All of the above (except Aragon's Bow, which is a quest) adds stuff like new clothing, equipment, etc. into the game. I'm sure there are a lot more awesome ones out there, these are just the ones I've had the time to find and ranked really high on planet elder scrolls.)

Better Rethan Manor 1.1.esp
Princess Factors Estate.esp
marcMoriEstate.esp
Clean Magus Realm Tower V2.esp
Ravenloft_v0406c.esp
Ravenloft_Tower_v0101a.esp
Clean Solstheim_Castle_v1.1.esp
(Some real estate mods. Playing house is the most fun thing ever in a role-playing game. Any role-playing game. It could be Morrowind, it could be a game of Dungeons & Dragons with your friend. It doesn't matter what actual game it is, or who you are. The feeling is universal. These housing mods are really good/pretty; the best of the best are made by people named Princess Stomper and Korana. There are more great ones by Korana that I wasn't able to download when I went about downloading; I have to get them and install them soon!)

Ald Redaynia Extended.esp
Thirsk Expanded.esp
New Suran Extended 1.5.esp
New Suran Extended MCA.esp
Uvirith Inside.esp
(City/Area enhancements.)

LGNPC_Vivec_Redoran_v1_3.esp (Version 1.3)
LGNPC_AldVelothi_v1_20.esp (Version 1.20)
LGNPC_Aldruhn_v1_13.esp (Version 1.13)
LGNPC_GnaarMok_v1_10.esp (Version 1.10)
LGNPC_HlaOad_v1_32.esp (Version 1.32)
LGNPC_Indarys_Manor_v1_45.esp (Version 1.45)
LGNPC_Khuul_v2_01.esp (Version 2.01)
LGNPC_MaarGan_v1_10.esp (Version 1.10)
LGNPC_PaxRedoran_v1_10.esp (Version 1.10)
LGNPC_Pelagiad_v1_13.esp (Version 1.13)
LGNPC_SM_MCA5.esp
LGNPC_Secret_Masters_v1_21.esp
Lgnpc_SN.esp (Version 0.31)
LGNPC_TelMora_v1_11.esp (Version 1.11)
LGNPC_TelUvirith_UI_v1_10.esp (Version 1.10)
LGNPC_VivecFQ_v2_02.esp (Version 2.02)
(The Less Generic NPC project is a big project with a lot of people, and it does exactly what it says it does. Highly recommended.)

RD_wands.esp
(Another neat piece of equipment.)

Portable Hole.esp
(This can be considered a 'cheat' but I really just can't live without this to be honest. Its function is obvious from the name.)

Bones11-tb-bm.esp
(Turns lose and useless bones lying around into items you can use for alchemy!)

Scissors & Thimbles Merge.esp
(Another shop with more items.)

Fliggerty's Fleeing Fetchers.esp
(Something you wonder why it wasn't in the game to begin with; like most of this guy's mods. If you start a deadly fight in a town, the passer-byes will flee.)

K_Scroll_Upgrade_BMoon.esp
K_Scroll_Upgrade_MW.esp
K_Scroll_Upgrade_MW_Trib_Bmoon.esp
K_Scroll_Upgrade_Trib.esp
Scrollsv1.1.esp
(Better scroll textures. However, it's been giving me the "texture not found" default for these, so something in one of these is wrong and I have to fix it at some point.)

Ring Texture Fix.esp
WA_SoulGems(!).esp
Unique Banners and Signs.esp
(Upgrades of the textures for rings, soulgems, banners & signs. Helps the atmosphere and makes Morrowind look more like a modern game.)

GRM_Companion_Recall_Ring.esp
(If your companion gets lost somehow, you can recall them. Hurray! I think this is redundant with one of my other mods though.)

Antares' Big Mod 3.5.esp
ABM 3.5 - MCA 5.2 - patch.esp
(This is a lot of Faction stuff. It's a laundry list of neat things that you can do as a faction leader that you should have been able to do in the default game; see here for the whole list.)

20books.esp
(Adds 20 new books into the game.)

Acheron's Camping Gear 2.esp
(So you can have a tent out in the wilderness!)

Clean ASH 2.0.esp
(This gives you a satchel that alchemy ingredients you pick up automatically go in, instead of cluttering up your inventory.)

ArchmagetowerTwo.esp
(It's a house, with a quest attached. The sort of house it is should be obvious.)

chemwar.esp
(Combining alchemy with arrows for fun and explosive effects!)

Japanese_House.esp
(This is an extremely well-done house mod.)

Killgore's Home Furnishings v1.1.esp
(A store where you can buy furniture for your castle. Very welcome addition.)

colourglass.esp
(Puts different colored glass armor in the game, in addition to what's already there.)

arch-magesquarters.esp
(An upgrade for the archmage's quarters you get as leader of some faction. Makes it not such an embarrassing place for a (wo)man of your stature to live. Actually, it makes it pretty fucking awesome from what I'm told.)

Tales of the Bitter Coast.esp
(Adds some quest and flavor NPCs to the west coast.)

Telos Rin Graveyard.esp
(It's another quest. Hall of Famer on planet elder scrolls.)

LeveledMagicka.esp
(Makes your magicka go up when you gain a level, like HP.)

Torgulf's NPC Soultrapping 1.2 Bloodmoon.esp
(Let's you soul trap various NPCs.)

Adj_Magicka Regen (1.00%).esp
(You now regenerate magicka like it's mana in a MUD when you're just standing around. So you don't have to rest to get it all back.)

CastReduce-v30.esp
(Reduces the casting cost of a spell based on your skill in the school of magic.)

Inscription.esp
("With this mod you can now create magical scrolls of many of the spell effects in the game." I think I need to mod this mod a bit, because inscribing can only be done in specific locations and none of them are places my character actually wants to live at.)

Scripted_Spells.esp
(Adds some interesting new spells to the game.)

More Summoning.esp
(Lets you summon different new creatures.)

Absorb Mana Spell.esp
(It's another new spell, it does what it says.)

Trash Compactor.esp
(It's the coolest trash can ever. As the game doesn't even have one by default, it's very nice.)

Take All.esp
(We already went over this one.)

Handy Equipping.esp
(Lets you switch between weapon, lockpick, torch, etc. with a single keypress.)

Scrolls and SoulGems 1.1.esp
(People sell blank scrolls and soulgems, huzzah! Not sure if this is redundant with "Inscription" or not.)

Syc_BetterBoundBows.esp (Version 1.1)
(When summoning a bow, it also summons arrows.)

Chalk20.esp
(Adds chalk to the game. You can write on walls and stuff.)

DisguiseMod.esp
(Now when you're disguised and you commit a crime, people won't realize its you when you're walking along undisguised.)

Featherweight Soul Gems.esp
(Lightens the weight of soul gems.)

Healers.esp
(Adds healers to temples. You can pay them to heal you.)

Improved Postitioning.esp
("This mod allows the positioning, in all three dimensions, of just about any pick-upable (saw that word somewhere, yes, I know it is not really a word) item in the game. With the advantage of Putting them BACK, when you return to the cell.")

Syc_MorrowindsStupidestCriminals.esp (Version 1.0)
(Now when somebody sees you commit a crime and you kill them to shut them up, nobody will know about it because you shut them up before you told them.)

Museum of Artifacts Improved Expanded.esp
(Enhances said museum a bit.)

Enchantment Color De-Enhancer.esp
(This is so your character doesn't blind you when you look at it. The Morrowind team went a bit overboard with the color glow of enchanted things.)

Potions.esp
(From the mod:
-Every single potion in the game has it's own inventory graphic.
-Alcohol is instantly recognisable as each kind/brand has it's own rendered potion icon.
-The icons are pretty (Or garish, depending on your opinion :-P ). I rendered them all in 3dstudioMAX2.5 and shrunk them and edited them in Paint Shop Pro 7 to make them aesthetically pleasing.)

Textured_Signs.esp
(Better, higher-res looking signs and signposts.)

The Imperial Legion Badge.esp
("Tired of carrying Imperial Legion around just to talk to the other soldiers/generals/etc? With the Imperial Legion Badge you don't need any armor to be recognized as a Imperial Legion soldier. It doesn't need to be equipped either, making it even more practical.")

Morrowind Crafting 2-1.esp
Morrowind Crafting Equipment.esp
(This is a cute mod. It adds a bunch of crafting skills for people who like to craft stuff like forks. Really enhances the game a lot imo.)

Barabus' fireplaces 2.esp
(Better looking fireplaces.)

Book Jackets - Bloodmoon - BookRotate.esp
Book Jackets - Morrowind - BookRotate.esp
Book Jackets - Tribunal - BookRotate.esp
(Better looking book jackets.)

Leafy Morrowind.esp
("All of the trees and tree-like objects in Vardenfel have been replaced with player-made models, with the exception of those in the Bitter Coast. No player-made models were available which were 'swampy' enough to look right in the Bitter Coast area, so the original Morrowind trees were retained here. But that isn't a bad thing, as the Bitter Coast trees are actually pretty nicely constructed.")

Reflective Gold.esp
(Gold is shinier.)

All Boat Ports.esp
All Silt Strider Ports.esp
(Makes all boat and silt strider ports connect to each other. It doesn't necessarily make a lot more sense, but it abstracts the necessity of using a fucking trip planner to get to one airport to another.)

This doesn't include most of the texture replacers (which don't have plugin files) -- I wish I could remember the ones I used, because they look extremely good.

I also need to shuffle my scroll-making mods around. There's a lot out there; I need to find the ones I like the best and stick with them.

There's also a bunch of quest mods I took note of but haven't installed yet, and some housing as well. Also some more magicka mods (I like magicka mods.)

edit: If anyone has suggestions for mods please tell me!

Double post but I'm guessing one of these mods modifies the smuggler's cave outside of Seyda Neen, because there were a lot more than 3 smugglers there and they were a lot tougher with better equipment than I thought they'd have! (Checked the wiki after I finished it.) Also they had different names.

That would be Morrowind Comes Alive ... its not just limited to the Seya Neen caves, so beware whilst you are still low level, you could find yourself set upon at any moment, even inside cities.

*EDIT*

A couple of mods that I noticed that you don't have

Necessities of Morrowind - makes you character need to rest, sleep and eat.
Stinkers - unforunately named, but now your character needs to bathe.
Living Cities of Vvardenfell - adds schedules to the NPC's giving them some purpose in life.

Necessities of Morrowind is a great mod, and extremely standard (every house ever made is NoM-compatible), but it just doesn't fit in with me. Same for Stinkers (only that's not nearly as standard or well-known). LCV is neat but I had problems using it. Might try it out again.
ODDish said:

That's why I installed MCA-patch to take out a lot of that stuff. Also, that's not what's causing it according to the construction set. It changed some names (gave somebody the name of Korana, I remember), gave them some hardcore axes (better than I should have at the start of the game, though it's not like I can use axes anyway), added a couple of guys in the tunnels.

I'm trying to figure out what mod mutated these guys, yeah. Anyone know how to do that?

Morrowind Comes Alive has to be one of the most primitive, annoying mods ever (and it has 5 major revisions? Jesus). It spawns shit in the smuggler's cave outside of Seyda Neen every time you leave it & reenter, or rest, or whatever. This is pretty retarded (both the instant respawn and the fact that that cave is needed as a batcave for someone just starting the game), and I disabled the functionality. But if it has a lot more of this I think I'm way better off nixing it and putting in something like Baron's Partners that fulfills a reasonably similar function without being retarded or unbalancing.

Is there a list of the really retarded spawn points somewhere, like the one I just mentioned? Because I can dike them out pretty easily, if I know what they are. Otherwise I think this mod is better off removed.

edit: Removed it. Replaced with Baron Partners for similar functionality without the retarded spawning.

I actually started playing this a while ago at the suggestion of a friend.

My only gripe is that all of the hairstyles for Imperials have little to no bangs; I finally found a decent one from one of the Hair and Face packs that is the Caesar hair, complete with Laurels.

One thing I'm not sure about is, how does Speechcraft work? How do you tell when you should Flatter or Threaten or Taunt?

Unfortunately, as I lack a gaming quality PC, I doubt I could run this.

However, I have enjoyed Oblivion for 360 a lot without mods... Would Morrowind be worth it at all without them? Or is it just now worth it at this point to play without mods of any kind?

One thing I'm not sure about is, how does Speechcraft work? How do you tell when you should Flatter or Threaten or Taunt?

You use Flatter to increase an NPC's disposition toward you. This may result in them beng more inclined to reveal certain information to you, or offer you higher discounts.

Taunt should be used when you desire a character to attack you (usually when you want them dead for whatever reason, but don't want the bounty - it's not murder if they attack you first)

i fucking love this game.

i put probably close to 600 hours into it, and have replayed it multiple times as different characters.

it's soooo much fun.

though i played it on XBOX, for some reason i find console games far more enjoyable than their PC counterparts.

Once I have my new PC, I will be playing this again :)

Thanks for that mod list surgo, i will definitely be trying those mods out!

man i havent played this game in years don't have the disk with me here so i might have to, ah, acquire it another way..

since my last game, i've had some very intense oblivion sessions. although the two games are different, they are both incredible.

my main gripe with Morrowind is that it is very possible to become ridiculously overpowered. i'm no good with self-control, i want the game to restrict my omnipotence! i don't really like gameplay-affecting mods so my 100% chameleon 100pt levitation (man where did that spell go) permanent-bound-armor-and-equipment hunter can just kill far too easily.

oblivion fixes this, but fixes it too well - the enchanting system is pretty bad. it corrects itself slightly with some really nice unique items but the customisability of morrowind was just cool.

also, i prefer oblivion's quests. the vast majority of morrowind quests were "go here, kill this, steal this". there were no really epic adventures, like the final Thieves Guild quest of Oblivion - man, that thing is a beast. a wonderful, magnificent beast.

basically i could go on about these two games for pages and pages but im not going to - i might, however, reinstall one of them. i wonder if oblivion would work on a laptop...

I have Morrowind on the Xbox, but it's near unplayable, as it lags so much and the FPS is pretty bad too. From what I have played, it seems really deep and not the kind of game for me, I enjoy games I can pick up and play more than spending hours doing quests.

The best thing about Morrowind is that you can do near anything with anyone. I stole from the Thieves' Guild, killed the owner of the pawn shop and sold the stuff to another shop.
