Genre - Hard Rock

Destroyer was the fourth studio album by the Hard Rock band KISS and was released on March 15, 1976

Detroit Rock City -
The song opens up with a report about a car crash and sounds of the song Rock and Roll All Nite can be heard in the opeing background. The actual song opens up with a great heavy riff. The bassline on this song sounds pretty good too thanks Gene. Paul Stanley's vocals sound pretty damn good here and lyrics are fun and amusing. The song ends with a car crash sound. 10/10

King of the Night Time World -
The song opens up where Detroit Rock City ended with the car crash. Ace Frehley uses his Les Paul to open this song officially. This song has some kick ass playing by the band's combined instruments. Overall a good song. 8/10

God of Thunder -
Don't let the intro with the laughing of children fool you, because this song is completely kick ass. You hear a bad ass riff when it kicks into gear. Gene Simmons bass playing and vocals are awesome on this song and the dual guitars by the Space Ace and the Starchild are totally cool too. Oh don't forget the Catman's drumming, it seems everyone forgets about Peter lol. If there was ever a time someone thought Kiss was satanic it would be here. 10/10

Great Expectations -
This is the first ballad on the album. At first I didn't like this song but it has grown on me. This song features the Brooklyn Boys Chorus at the time in 1976. Overall this song is okay some cool playing by Ace and Paul Stanley's vocals are not bad, but this song is pretty much filler and can be skipped.. 6.5/10

Flaming Youth -
One day the youth will take over! This song has some cool guitar chord progression. The guitar solo on this song was done by Dick Wagner, though I wish we had a classic Ace solo for this song. 7/10

Sweet Pain -
This song has some cool acoustic guitar playing by Paul, while Ace is still there on lead guitar. This song has one of Ace Frehley's better guitar solos. 7/10

Shout It Out Loud -
Easily one of my top ten songs by Kiss. The general riff of this song sounds awesome and has a great feel to it. The solo here is not bad either, although it might get repetitive at times. 9/10

Beth -
This is an amazing ballad that is sung by Peter Criss. An orchestra was brought in for this song. Although Peter Criss is not really the greatest singer his raspy voice fits rather well here. Ironically this album did not get notice until this song was played and Beth was not originally a single. 9/10

Do You Love Me? -
The singing of this song starts off with Gene Simmons, although halfway through the song Paul Stanley comes in during the drum break. The chorus in this song is a bit repetitive but that does not stop this song from being good. 8.5/10

? -
Not really a song this is sample from the band's Alive! live album. No reason to rate this why would you?

Overall -
Destroyer shows KISS as a band at their best. KISS the 1970s ruled pretty hard, unlike a lot of their stuff in later years and their horrible Disco influenced album Dynasty. In conclusion Destroyer is probably KISS's best album along with their self titled and Love Gun.
