Ability Abuse an OU RMT

Hey EvilWeavile here posting a new RMT. After playing around on shoddy for a long time i found a team worth posting. I originally made a baton pass team but noticed all the abilitys and imunitys on the team and decided to make an offensive team out of it. Well without further ado heres the team.









Jirachi-choice scarf

My lead of choice, it does a good job at what it should whitch is set up stealth rocks and trick choice items to walls. I replaced U-turn with Irond head and thunder wave because ive never seen a magnezone lead and jirachi isnt my main sweeper so i can sacrifice it and revenge kill magnezone with heatran or even gengar. Iron head and T-wave provide for great parahax serene grace abuse whitch i sometimes use to wear down slower leads after tricking its scarf and even some walls down late game. Although its an effective lead and all its the most replacable on the team as it gives me 3 weaknesses to ground and has the least synergy with the other members.

A great sweeper that boosts its high special attack 30%. Fire+Ground offers emense type coverage, dealing super effective damage to 8 difrent types and is probably the only steel other then magnezone that can deal with magnezone. Earth power especially helps as it kills other heatran that can absorb Fire blast. After a boost from flash fire ,fire blasts power goes to sky high levels and make heatran can be especially powerfull and deal damage to some of its switch ins like gyarados. Explosion is just a great overall move and can handle with some random threats that can switch in, it can even KO the likes blissey so long as she doesnt invest in HP. I had previously used Taunt but its pretty useless on the set and dragon pulse takes care of kingdra one of the teams major weaknesses. It has great synergy with scizor as it can absorb any fire attacks or hidden power fires that could OHKO scizor and also with vaporeon and gengar whitch it can switch into.

With a special attack stat at 478, coverage only resistid by magnezone and only one weakness, jolteon is one of my best sweepers. Thunder bolt is my main attack and it kills off almost anything weak to electric, it also provides a good nuetral hit on a lot of things. Hidden power ice gives Jolteon the classic BoltBeam coverage combo and can kill off many dragons like salamance and dragonite and can kill gliscor a common Switch in. Shadow ball makes jolteon a perfect rotom-A counter as it can switch in on a stab electric attack and quickly finish off the rotom forme with shadow ball its even effective against other ghosts like gengar or dusknoir who use electric attacks often. Baton pass is a great move on this set as it alows it to absorb a predicted electric attack and then search for the apropriete counter. Jolteon has great synergy with vaporeon as it takes any thunder attacks aimed at it as well as taking care of the bulky waters who switch into vaporeon.

With only two weaknesses an immense HP stat and a decent Spa stat theres no wonder Vaporeon is on my team. Wish is the most team oriented healing move and is invaluable in healing my team. Protect makes sure vaporeon can heal itself without any problem and it also scouts the opponents moves. Surf is very reliable stab and deals with heatran infernape and even metagross. Ice beam can cover celebi and other leech seeders who think they can switch in and stall vaporeon out.It also dents salamance pretty badly. A good thing about vaporeon is that it recieves little damage from grass knot anyway. Vaporeon switches in on any water type attacks aimed at heatran and can take care of most of its counters. Jolteon is Vaporeons perfect teamate who switches in on any electric attacks aimed at it while gaining some HP.

Teams without Scizor are rare, and mine is no exception. Hes the most used pokemon for a reason Scizor is a beast who can both revenge kill and randomly sweep at any time. It can wreck through whatever it needs to with a 591 attack stat, while at the same time only having one weakness and u-turn to escape from magnezone. Bullet punch is an extremly usefull priority move while at the same time having STab. Superpower is a great move and gives scizor great type coverage. Pursuit handels anything weak to dark and is a great move over all. Scizor has good synergy with gengar as it can take care of its counters who are often weak to pursuit. Heatran is also a great partner for scizor as it can switch in when i expect a fire attack.


Gengar-Black sludge

This is a set custimized for my team and i shall explain. Gengar plays an important part on the team as he serves as a sort of gaurdian angel. For example swampert often switches into Jolteon, gengar takes care of him with energy ball. Fighting types can really hurt heatran and not only is gengar imune to there stab, he has psychic to fire back. with three ground weaknesses i needed a levitater or flying type. i originally tried togekiss and it worked but it gave me to many perfect counters to my pokemon and just more weaknesses. Hidden power fire keeps scizor and magnezone at bay and shadow ball is for STAB though i dont use it much so i could also use a replacement.

Well thats the team. Comments suggestions all apreciated. I realize i have still have three weakness to ground and i would really apreciate a new lead so im open to all coments. Ill realease threat list later. PLZ RATE.

Hey, didn't finish reading everything through but thought I should go ahead and say Dragon Pulse would work well over Taunt since you apparently don't use taunt, and it alleviates your Kingdra problem.

thanx im new to using heatran, i didnt no he got dragon pulse ill replace that, because taunt was a wasted slot.

at a first look your team seems quite weak to offensive Gyarados. a jolly life orb Gyara may easily sweep your whole team after a DD or two. Vaporeon would be a fine counter for it, but it needs hidden power [electric] to counter it effectively. Alternately, you may try roar on it, to force out taunt less variants, and to prevent pokemons like cro-Cune or DD Kingdra from setting up on it.

On your lead Jirachi, I'd replace thunder wave with fire punch, at the moment your only answer to SD Lucario is Gengar, and since it's not exactly durable, a +2 Lucario may be almost impossible to stop without Gengar's hp fire. Fire punch on Jirachi wold give you a second weapon to counter both Lucario and Scizor, and will 2hko Forretress which, otherwise, completely walls Jirachi.

On Jolteon I'd suggest hidden power [grass], every dragon in the game is 1-2hko'd by thunderbolt, barring Flygon (obvously), with hp grass you'll be able to ohko Swampert whihc is a very common switch into specs Jolteon.

On Gengar I'd suggest to run focus blast over psychc: at the moment your Gar is completely walled by TTar, and although focus blast has a mediocre 70% accuracy, it offers better type coverage than psychic, which is really useful only for Machamp. Also, there's no need to run a hasty nature when you're not using any physical attack, timid is the way to go. Finally, if you don't want to use life orb on it, always use leftovers over black sludge: the matter has been discussed several times, and leftovers is always preferred because if a tricker gets it, it can trick it into another pokemon of yours, actually crippling two pokemons.

I would suppose jolteon would counter gyara because its faster before a dragon dance, but adding HP electric would be a more secure counter. Although parahax is good i have been walled by fortress thats a good idea. Lucario hasnt been much trouble with gengar around though. If i give joleton HP grass and i rreplace ice beam on vaporeon i have no ice move left and that troubles me. Even so jolteon has a choice scarf so a swampert would come in on thunderbolt and i would have to switch out anyway, and it would be pretty hard for jolteon to switch back in so ill keep HP ice. Psychic is usefull and i really only used it becuase of focus blasts acuracy. Timid over hasty can work i only used it because i saw it on a defensive set of gengar. You have a point on black sludge i used it for poke's who use trick but i never thought about them tricking back.

Run Body slam over t wave on jirachi, im pressed for time now so i cant explain but it should make decent sense already...
