Tournament Rules
Registration

Introduction:

Welcome everyone to the Themed Tournament! This Tournament will test your ability to use teams which revolve around a certain theme.

This will be a 64 man OU Single Elimination Tournament. The first 40 spaces will be First Come First Serve. The last 24 spaces will be chosen by me with priority for well-known and respected members. Don't try and PM me to get in one of these 24 spaces, this will ensure you don't get chosen. People who signed up but didn't get in will be put as substitutes for when I need a substitute for an inactive member. The substitutes order will again be on a well-known and respected status.

Standard Rules:

• Evasion Clause

• Sleep Clause

• Freeze Clause

• OHKO Clause

• Self-KO Clause

• Species Clause

• Timed Battle

Other Rules:

• Consecutive usage of themes is not allowed, i.e. If you use a Rain Dance team in Round 1 you can't use another Rain Dance team again until Round 3.

• The winner must send me a log of the battle. I need to know that players have stuck to the 100 'theme points' rule, and to ensure that players don't use consecutive themes. If the winner does not send me a PM or I find they have not stuck to the 100 'theme points' rule, then they will have to redo their battle. I can check with your opponent's to confirm your team, but obviously theres a chance they might try and cheat so its in your best interest to do this. A second log will be required from this second battle, and if the same person didn't stick to the 100 'theme points' rule again, they will be disqualified.

• Send me your team beforehand(use Export to Text on shoddy Team Builder).

The Themes:

Each team must reach a total of 100 'theme points' for their team to be legal in the respective theme. You can go over 100 points though.

You must have 100 pts from your chosen theme, you don't get 35 pts for a Pokemon with Sand Stream ability on any other team than Sandstorm for example!

Rain Dance
Pokemon with the move Rain Dance - 25 pts
Pokemon with the ability Swift Swim / Rain Dish - 20 pts
Pokemon holding the item Damp Rock - 5 pts
Each instance of Water-type Attack / Thunder in a Pokemon's moveset - 5 pts
Pokemon with Fire-type weakness - 3 pts

Sunny Day
Pokemon with the move Sunny Day - 25 pts
Pokemon with the ability Chlorophyll / Leaf Guard / Solar Power - 20 pts
Pokemon holding the item Heat Rock - 5 pts
Each instance of Fire-type Attack / Solarbeam / Synthesis / Moonlight / Morning Sun in a Pokemon's moveset - 5 pts
Pokemon with Water-type weakness - 3 pts

Hail
Abomasnow on team - 50 pts
Pokemon with the ability Snow Cloak / Ice Body - 20 pts
Snover on team - 10 pts
Pokemon with the move Hail - 10 pts
Pokemon holding the item Icy Rock - 5 pts
Ice-type Pokemon other than Abomasnow - 5 pts
Each instance of Blizzard in a Pokemon's moveset - 5 pts

Sandstorm
Pokemon with the ability Sand Stream - 35 pts
Pokemon with the ability Sand Veil - 20 pts
Rock-type Pokemon other than Tyranitar - 20 pts
Steel or Ground-type Pokemon other than Hippowdon - 10 pts
Pokemon with the move Sandstorm - 10 pts
Pokemon holding the item Smooth Rock - 5 pts

Gravity
Pokemon with the move Gravity - 25 pts
Pokemon with the move Earthquake - 25 pts
Pokemon with the move Spikes / Toxic Spikes - 20 pts
Pokemon with the ability Arena Trap - 20 pts
Pokemon with a move with 80% or less accuracy - 5 pts

Trick Room
Pokemon with the move Trick Room - 25 pts
Base 5-40 Speed Pokemon - 15 pts
Base 41-60 Speed Pokemon - 10 pts
Base 60-80 Speed Pokemon - 5 pts

Mono-type
Five Pokemon sharing a single type - 100 pts

Pokemon holding Choice Scarf - 20 pts

As I said in the last thread, you should know this already, but you have to have Trick Room somewhere in your team for it be a Trick Room team, etc.

<+kd24> i could use a ludicolo with focus punch / surf / ice beam / energy ball to have all my bases covered
<+kd24> i only use 3 of those moves in the game
<+kd24> i could say the last was rain dance
<+kd24> to make sure i had 100 points total
<+kd24> apparently there is no response to this?
<+kd24> without forcing us to "export to text" and pm beforehand, you are going to be facing a lot more cheating as i have described

please change it to export to text + pming teams before the actual matches, it would make it so much easier to check the logs to make sure everything is right and to make sure no cheating takes place.

Ok, just to say since some people still haven't got it, those points only respond to their respective themes as stated under the themes heading. That means for example having a Pokemon with Sand Stream ability only gives you 35 points on a Sandstorm team, not 35 pts on any other team.
