My new team.

Welcome to RMT!
This is my first one, and I've had a great win rate (something like 5-30?)
But you can only improve right?
Please rate me, and, thanks!

The Lead
398.png

Empoleon @ Focus Sash
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Modest
EVs: 156 HP/252 SpA/100 Spe
~ Hydro Pump
~ Aqua Jet
~ Stealth Rock
~ Grass Knot
Comments:
I love Empoleon leads.
They can always win V.S:
Azelf, Aerodactyl, Metagross, Via Hydro Pump, followed by a aqua jet.
It can beat Swampert with grass knot (a OHKO)
and usually set up rocks.

Move Analysis
Hydro Pump: 160 base power with stab, which makes 320 when in torrent range, Obviously better then surf for this set.
Aqua Jet: Very important on this set, +1 Priority, giving a lot of commom leads trouble.
Stealth Rock: Necessary for my bulky sweepers,
Stealth rock is really spectacular on any bulky offense team.
Grass Knot: I chose Grass knot over ice beam, because I have other pokemon who can deal with dragon types (Scizor & Mence)

The Revenge Killer
499.png

Rotom-H @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Modest
EVs: 4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
~ Thunderbolt
~ Overheat
~ Shadow Ball
~ Trick
Comments:
Any Rotom makes a great revenge killer,
And Rotom has perfect Synergy with Empoleon,
Any Rotom goes great o my team!
I choose Rotom-H because he gets even better Synergy with Empoleon, plus he really helps out the team.

Move Analysis
Thunderbolt: Thunderbolt is a aweome move. 157 base power (with stab)
and hits gyrados, suicune, and Skarmory (some of the most seen players in the OU metagame) very hard.
Overheat: Overheat is a very powerful move. No STAB on this one,
Sadly.
Shadow ball: A big filler, but shadow ball helps with my otherwise ghost weakness.
Trick: Trick with a choice scarf really ruins Snorelax and Blissy,
along with anything setting up.

The Setup sweeper/surprise
212.png

Scizor @ Iron Plate
Ability: Technician
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 32 HP/252 Atk/224 Spe
~ Swords Dance
~ Bullet Punch
~ Superpower
~ Roost
Comments:
This is what I based my team off of.
He has the element of surprise, along with amazing sweeping capabilities.
Everyone, always expects choice band.
always. So I try to take advantage of that.
Iron plate faints Choice Band, and knocks off the recoil of life orb, while making bullet punch retain the same power.

Move Analysis:
Swords Dance: Swords Dance is the main factor of this set.
nobody expects it.
Bullet Punch: The frosting on the cake. The grand daddy of all moves.
Bullet punch just rips through things.
Superpower: Super Power takes out Heatran, and more importently, Magnazone, who would otherwise ruin this set.
Roost: Roost really helps recover some damage, which is critical for a long sweep.

Set up sweeper #2
380.png

Latias @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
- Calm Mind
- Dragon Pulse
- HP Fire
- Thunderbolt
Comments:
Latias is probably my favorite (OU) Dragon type.
Perfect role for my team, and deals with Scarf-trans that would otherwise
ruin Scizor. That's reason enough right their!

Move Analysis
Calm Mind: Calm mind can be
not only does it boost salamences already good Speed, but also his top notch attack!
Dragon Pulse: Stander move for STAB.
Thunderbolt: Deals with Suicune Gyra and Empoleon.
Hidden Power Fire: A little mix up here, but it helps deal with Scizor who think they can switch in with impunity and pursuit me.

The Tormentor
490.png

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Fire Flash
Nature: Calm
244 HP/32 SpA/12 SpD/220 Spe
~ Substitute
~ Torment
~ Protect
~ Lava Plume
Comments:
Heatran is really well balanced,
and this set is perfect for it.
It helps out my team, by adding to SR damage to some pokes,
and really saves the game a lot.
Several times I've been 2 pokes versus just him, and he wins.
(a lot) he's great!

Move Analysis:
Lava Plume: A powerful move, with a large chance of burning,
works wonders with this set.
Protect: This helps out with gaining leftovers HP and for the tormenting technique.
Torment: This is the icing on the cake. For the Torment Technique.
Substitute: This is ALSO for the torment technique.

The Toxic Support
410.png

Roserade @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 HP/56 Def/80 SpD/120 Spe
-Toxic Spikes
-Stun Spore
-HP Fire
-Leaf Storm
Comments:
Roserade great speed, SpA, and SpD makes it a viable threat in OU,
along with it's access to TS, TS support really helps my team, particularly Tran.

Move Analysis:
Toxic Spikes: TS Support really helps my team, especially Torment tran.
Sleep Powder: Really helps get the TS up, and potentially cripples a foe (if they switch after being slept)
HP Fire: HP Fire helps out with Scizor, (Always OHKOing) and Metagross, plus any other grass/steel types.
Leaf Storm: For obvious reasons, 140 with STAB 210. That's a lot of power.

Changes in bold. Changes: Traded Celebi for Roserade.

This is my team, it has something like a 5-30 win rate,
(that is just a rough guess)
it's based around a Swords Dance Scizor,
My theory was (and is) he can gain a very large advantage,
because, everyone expects a Choice Banded one.
So here is the team building process.

Team Building

212.png

I started with a Swords dance Scizor,
I know I needed Someone who could take fire attacks.
The obvious choice is heatran.

212.png
490.png

I knew I wanted a Empoleon lead, so that's easy to deicide.

212.png
490.png

The next pokemon is obvious.
It works together with Empoleon Flawlessly.
ROTOM-H

212.png
490.png
398.png
499.png

Me team lacks a main grass type,
it was between Breloom and Celebi,
but Breloom is more stall, so I went with Celebi.

OK, now I would like a dragon type,
Salamence! I choose you!

Very nice team you have here.

Empoleon seems to be about as good as it gets. Be wary of a Sash Mamoswine Lead, though as an Earthquake will bring you down to 1 HP and Ice Shard will KO you since Mamoswine naturally outspeeds Empoleon.

For Scizor, I'd run Brick Break over Superpower. It should have enough power to OHKO Magnezone and Heatran after a SD. It also ruins any Screens your opponent might have set up. You don't have to deal with the stat drops either and have more PP.

Well, that's about it, lol. You may want to give Celebi some Leftovers so it can last longer but if that makes you miss some important OHKOs, never mind.

Excellent team. I might give this a spin sometime and see how it works.

For sash mamoswine, I Usually switch to Rotom (Earthquake doesn't effect him) and then overheat. But thanks for the tip!
I usually go with life orb, as rest recovers a lot of HP, but I might try this sometime!
Thanks for the rate!

TormentTran is a great pokemon, but it really shines when paired with Toxic Spikes. For this reason, I think you should replace Celebi with a bulky Roserade set. Something like this.

Roserade @ Leftovers
Calm
EVs:252 HP, 56 Def, 80 SpD, 120 Spe
-Toxic Spikes
-Synthesis/Stun Spore
-HP Fire/Stun Spore
-Leaf Storm/Grass Knot/Energy Ball

There are a lot of options with this set, but it has the ability to lay down Toxic Spikes, which can really help TormentTran, as the Toxic Spikes combined with the stalling Tran can do lead to the death of opposing pokemon rather frequently. Toxic Spikes are a given, but there are quite a few options for the next 3 moves. Stun Spore-it can paralyze anything in the game, which is always nice, you could even go Sleep Powder if you wanted to. Synthesis-an easy way to recover is great for a bulkier Rose like this. Leaf Storm/Grass Knot/Energy Ball-Generic grass STAB to hit everything you want, depends on which is your personal preference. HP Fire-hit steels and opposing Grass types hard. The set is a matter of your preference, but I think this could reall help TormentTran and the rest of your team. The EVs are to outspeed Jolly T-tar and slower base 100s, as well as take a CB Bullet Punch from Zor even with SR and Sandstorm factored in, and take it out with HP Fire, so if you do not choose HP Fire the Def EVs should go over to SpD. Hope I helped.

Thanks for the great rate Toxic!
the move goes with you name! lol
That is a great idea, Celeb holds nothing special for my team,
and Roserade has same ability, Same moves, but access to toxic spikes,
which will benefit my team a lot! So I will make the switch!
I think I will use this set:

Roserade @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 HP/56 Def/80 SpD/120 Spe
-Toxic Spikes
-Stun Spore
-HP Fire
-Leaf Storm
Comments:
Roserade great speed, SpA, and SpD make it a viable threat in OU,

Hi! This is a cool team, and I love Swords Dance Scizor. However, Choice Scarf Heatran completely shuts down Swords Dance Scizor, as well as does hefty damage to the rest of your team members...in fact, Timid Choice Scarf Heatran outspeeds and gets at least a 2HKO on every member of this team (except for outspeeding Rotom). A team revolving around SD Scizor wants a way to get rid of Heatran for sure; I suggest changing Salamence to a Calm Mind Latias. Calm Mind Latias can switch in on a Fire Blast or Earth Power easily thanks to its amazing special defense stat (and well Latias is immune to Earth Power), Calm Mind up as it switches out, and then wreak havoc with boosted Dragon Pulses. Dragon Dance Salamence is certainly powerful, but your team lacks a good special sweeper, and I'm sure that you are finding Salamence is dying too quickly to the likes of enemy Scizor / Stealth Rock. Latias has no Stealth Rock weakness and doesn't fear Scizor, as Thunderbolt 2HKOes.

I suggest using an EV spread of 4 Hp / 252 SpA / 252 Spe, a Timid nature, and item Leftovers (Life Orb is an option, but greatly decreases Latias's longevity). Then a moveset of Calm Mind, Dragon Pulse, Thunderbolt, and Surf / Hidden Power Fire. The EVs and nature aim to maximize Latias's potential as a sweeper, maxing out the two stats that she needs to be most destructive. Leftovers is the preffered item here, as Latias is a sweeper where she won't want to be dying anytime soon, and the longevity granted by Leftovers is essential in aiding her sweep. Calm Mind is the key move here, and the name of the game is simple; switch in on shit like Choice Locked fighting, water, grass or ground moves (this shouldn't be too difficult thanks to Latias's bulk and large number of resistances), and Calm Mind up. Next turn, either Calm Mind or attack depending on your opponent and your current health. Dragon Pulse is good STAB, and preferred over Draco Meteor on a set like this...as tempting as boosted STAB Draco Meteor is, Latias won't appreciate having her hard-earned Calm Mind boosts taken away. Thunderbolt is a good attacking option for hitting Pokemon such as Skarmory, and bulky waters (2HKO on Suicune after a Calm Mind). The final attacking option is a toss up between Surf and Hidden Power Fire. Surf is a nice choice for hitting Rocks and Grounds harder, while Hidden Power Fire is awesome for catching Scizor off guard (a very common switchin to Latias), as well as doing good damage to steels in general.

Everyone else looks pretty good, its a nice team. Hope I helped and good luck! =)

That sounds like a great idea, snorlaxe!
I will take any advise from someone who got to be 8th on the leaderboard!
I will make the changes, I'm going with this.
Latias @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
- Calm Mind
- Dragon Pulse
- HP Fire
- Thunderbolt

Your team looks very solid especially after Snorlaxe's suggestion. Great job! I only have a minor suggestion. You could try Iron Plate over Life Orb on Scizor. I use it on my team's Scizor and it works great. This makes it easier to feign a Choice Band and it makes it easier to keep Scizor alive for longer. I'm pretty sure you get the same KO's after Swords Dance anyways, but there's no recoil damage to worry about.

I'm backing this suggestion. The power of a Swords Dance Bullet Punch with Life Orb is exactly equal to an Iron Plate Bullet Punch, but no recoil. As Bribes said, feigning Choice Band sets can catch many a Pokemon off guard, such as incoming Magnezone. Also, I suggest using Sleep Powder instead of Stun Spore on Roserade. Seeing as your two main sweepers (Scizor and Latias) will almost always be attacking first; Bullet Punch has priority, and Latias has a base 110 Speed stat, outspeeding many quick threats such as Salamence and Lucario...well, Paralysis support isnt really needed. Getting an incoming counter to Roserade slept, however, is invaluable, and allows to more easily get up layers of Toxic Spikes.

Iron plate sounds really good, I've always enjoyed using unusual items!
Great suggestion, and recoil really does shorten the time he survives.
I see what you mean snorlax! I'll add those.
Thanks for the suggestions guys!
