Yanmega @ Focus Sash
Modest-252 Sp Atk/148 Spe/108 Def (Speed Boost)
Role-Anti Lead
Bug Buzz
Air Slash
HP Fire
Protect
Description- My all-time favorite lead. Yanmega is guaranteed to KO every common lead in OU including Azelf, Infernape, Weavile, Metagross(2HKO), Jirachi(2HKO), and Gliscor (2HKO), even 3HKOing Aerodactyl. Focus sash allows me to stay around a bit longer. Protect scouts fake out users and trick leads and can provide that one speed boost off of 263 total. The number 1 switch in to my Yanmega is Scizor. 108 def keeps bullet punch doing 45-56% and HP fire is an unexpected KO.
Steelix @ Leftovers
Sassy-252 HP/252 Sp Def/4 Atk- 0 speed Ivs
Role-Support
Gyro Ball
Earthquake
Stealth Rock
Roar
Description- Steelix is an amazing tank, with 352 HP, 251 Sp Def, and a whopping 448 Def on the given set. Gyro ball KOs any fast sweeper that won't resist it (Weavile, Azelf, Aerodactyl, Gengar, Latias (2HKO)) and can even take out DD Mence with screen support to buffer fire blast. With EQ it can take out Infernape (with screen), Lucario, Jirachi, Heatran (with screen), and Metagross. Roar allows me to Phaze away stat uppers or substitutes. It's also fun to come in on Magnezone and get "trapped".
Starmie @ Choice Scarf
Modest-252 Sp Atk/252 Spe/4 Def (Natural Cure)
Role-Anti Sweeper/Revenge Killer
Surf
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Trick
Description- One of my favorite sets in the game. This thing takes out any unscarfed pokemon that can't resist it, tricks a scarf onto Blissey, and KOs Neutral speed Salamence and any Gyarados after 1 DD. It also KOs Infernape, Scarftran, Latias (offensive), Gliscor, petaya Empoleon, and Celebi (taking a grass knot). The most notable thing about this Starmie is its ability to take out Blissey. It can take a thunder wave and trick the scarf, then switch out and heal thanks to natural cure.
Machamp @ Leftovers
Adamant-252 HP/100 Atk/156 Def (No Guard)
Role-Confusion Sweeper?
DynamicPunch
Stone Edge
Payback
Substitute
Description- Here's what Machamp does: DP first and confuse them, substitute, and repeat. Payback gets rid of Rotom, Celebi, Azelf, and Gengar. Stone Edge is able to KO Salamence and Gyarados, not being intimidated while the substitute is up. Even after intimidate, steath rock ensures the KO.
Cresselia @ Light Clay
Impish-252 HP/252 Def/4 Sp Def
Role-Glue/Stall Tank
Light Screen
Reflect
Thunder Wave
Moonlight
Description- Cresselia is annoying. With both screens up for 8 turns, it supplies my team with a enormously helpful resistance to enemy attacks and allows them to set up. The resistance also ensures that I will be alble to take enough hits to fire back against my counters (listed at the bottom). Thunder Wave cripples enemies and Moonlight is there to rinse and repeat. Even Scizor and Hereacross can't 2HKO with reflect up. After repeated use, I can't stress how important this pokemon is to my team overall.
Lucario @ Life Orb
Adamant-252 Atk/252 spe/4 Def
Role-Late Game Sweeper
Swords Dance
Close Combat
Ice Punch
Extremespeed
Description- Bog standard Lucario set, so efficient. By this time, Machamp will have taken out enemy Gengar and Rotom, so Crunch is not needed as much. Ice punch is just there for Gliscor, but it's pretty important that Mence is taken out or severely weakened by stealth rock at this point because it will KO with fire blast or EQ. Extremespeed, well you probably already know the rest of the story.
Counters:
Slowbro- Totally walls Machamp, Steelix, and Lucario with crunch absent. Starmie can take it out with Thunderbolt.
Dusknoir- Too slow to be hurt by payback, and my team lacks any other dark or ghost moves.
Breloom-This thing is problematic once Yanmega is out of the picture, but I can usually scare it off with Cresselia.
Bronzong- I usually try to confuse it to death with Machamp, but since my team lacks a fire-type move that will hurt it, it can cause some damage.
SD Scizor- Choice band sets are fine, because I can scout their moves easily, but the dancer is difficult. Once again, my best answer is probably Machamp or Starmie if it's weak already.
Cresselia- Well, I know it's not good to have Machamp as the only solution to all my counters, but Payback does work. I can also trick Starmie's scarf onto it and make it useless.
That is my team, any helpful suggestions are appreciated.
