[SET]
Name: Support Gardevoir
Move 1: Charm/Captivate
Move 2: Thunder Wave/Toxic/Will-O-Wisp
Move 3: Psychic
Move 4: Charge beam
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Trace
Nature: bold
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SpDef

[SET COMMENTS]

What gardevoir's stats, ability and movepool accomplish-
this set will take advantage of gardevoir's support movepool which is big and its good SpDef which can make it quite bulky. its ability: trace is very unique and porygon 2 is the only other pokemon that has the ability

What the moves on the set accomplish-
this set can force switches alot of the time as with charm, the opponents Atk is halved and gardevoir can use this time to use thunder wave on whatever switches in or can just attack straight away. a powerful physical sweeper like life orb salamence(252 Atk / 252 Speed) dragon claw only does 34.7% - 40.9% to this gardevoir after being charmed so it only 3HKO gardevoir, it can 2HKO if three layers of spikes are up. also, gardevior can trace intimidate lowering its attack even more and can proceed to using thunder wave.

charge beam is for raising gardevoir's SpAtk and is quite useful when gardevoir needs to kill a certain pokemon.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Damage calculations against another pokemon-
these calculations are to show the power of gardevoir's attacks

psychic on 252 HP / 252 SpDef, calm suicune: 28.5% - 33.7%
psychic on 252 HP / 116 SpDef, jolly salamence: 17.3% - 20.8%
psychic on 0 HP / 252 SpDef, calm togekiss: 37.0% - 43.7%
charge beam on 252 HP / 252 SpDef, calm suicune: 21.3% - 25.2%
charge beam on 252 HP / 116 SpDef, jolly salamence: 11.7% - 13.7%
charge beam on 0 HP / 252 SpDef, calm togekiss: 27.7% - 32.8%

you also have to keep in mind gardevoir has no EV's in SpAtk so if it was max SpAtk then it would be doing a lot more damage then the damage calculations are saying.

damage calculations against gardevoir
these calculations show how much damage gardevoir takes from other pokemon
outrage from a 252 Atk / 252 Speed, adamant flygon: 64.7% - 76.2%
meteor mash from a 252 Atk / 252 Speed, adamant metagross: 66.5% - 78.5%
thunder from a 252 SpAtk / 252 Speed, modest jolteon: 41.8% - 49.4%
fire blast from a 252 SpAtk / 252 Speed, modest flareon: 37.4% - 44.4

it takes lots of damage from physical attacks so I highly recommend NOT switching into physical attacks unless it is electivire or flareon for obvious reasons.

Other Options -
you can use captivate on special sweepers but is not that useful as gardevoir needs to be the opposite gender.
toxic is a good choice as well if you do not like thunder wave, rain dance and sunny day are useful if you are making a weather team.

gravity can be used on gravity teams, focus blast and trick can be used for either power or for a trick team. trick trick room can be used on trick room team, also it can be a dual screener or can have wish if you do not have a wish user on your team.

EV's -
EVs/Item. the support set that is mentioned here has 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SpDef but you can add the 40 Def EV's into SpDef if you want more SpDef.

How to use it effectively -
this set works great against sweepers like jolteon and heatran as it can switch in to thunderbolt or fire blast and either recover health or increase SpAtk
also, any pokemon that gardevoir can outspeed like breloom as you can thunder wave it before its toxic orb activates.

Team Options-
steel pokemon will wall gardevoir completly so magnezone is a good partner for gardevoir as it resists its weaknesses and can kill other steel pokemon by traping them and using hidden power fire.

stealth rock will help gardevoir out a lot and can weaken other pokemon for gardevoir or another pokemon on the team to kill

tyranitar resists dark and ghost, it takes neutral damage from bug(I think) so it can set up stealth rock or if you want a spiker roserade is fast and can kill most bug's with hidden power fire, it also can kill most ghost or dark pokemon with moves that do neutral damage
.

Counters -
heatran is immune to will-o-wisp and can take psychic and energy ball very well

psychic on heatran: 25.9% - 30.6%
energy ball on heatran: 7.7% - 9.0%

those calculations is the support set listed above with a choice specs and pyschic does not even 3HKO heatran so the only way to 3HKO in my opinion is to use focus blast on this set OR switch gardevoir into a fire attack as trace will copy heatrans ability

with flash fire boosts(and the choice specs)
psychic on a 252 SpAtk / 252 Speed: 38.9% - 45.7%
energy ball on the 252 SpAtk / 252 Speed: 11.4% - 13.6%

with flash fire boosts and no choice specs is the same damage percent as no flash fire boosts with choice specs as both boost SpAtk by 1.5

Yeah um the format for this analysis is incorrect, it doesn't really contain any competitive information, and the writing isn't that good. I can actually see this set working decently, but the writing here isn't correct, sorry :(

Gardevoir already has a support set, all this does is add Toxic/Twave, drop three good special attack options for energy ball and drop wish for the highly questionable Charm/Captivate. Additionally, there are multiple formatting errors both on the set itself and in the comments. Read a few of the analyses in the uploaded analysis archive for a better idea of what is wanted.

If you want to post this again, be sure to follow the correct format and get approval from Quality Control (and turn it into a peer edit. I could see some chance of Twave getting slashed on at least.).
