Wormadam-G hasn't even been updated for Platinum yet, might as well go ahead and update her for HGSS. The standard set has been removed; I'm putting it in OC. I'm not sure if I should remove the RestTalk set, though.

EDIT: Please, no more cynical comments unless you have something to say.

Status: Awaiting response from QC.

[SET]
name: Rain Dance
move 1: Rain Dance
move 2: Sucker Punch / Bug Bite
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Toxic
item: Damp Rock / Leftovers
nature: Impish
EVs: 240 HP / 216 Atk / 52 Def

Why this set deserves to be on site:
-Has good type synergy with typical Rain Dance teams
-Can deal a good amount of damage in the process
-Unique Bug-Ground typing is immune to Electric and resists Earthquake, which many rain team are weak to
-STAB Earthquake packs surprising power

Additional Comments:
-Appreciates Stealth Rock or Spikes support
-EVs are to usually survive Jolly Aggron's CB Head Smash and KO back with Earthquake with Leftovers (assuming SR is up)
-Item choice (Leftovers or Damp Rock?)

Teammates and Counters
-To be used on Rain Dance teams
-A Special wall such as Milotic or Ludicolo helps
-Wish support is also recommended if not running Leftovers
-Aggron's CB Aqua Tail in the rain is a OHKO

[SET]
name: RestTalk
move 1: Rest
move 2: Sleep Talk
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Toxic / Bug Bite / Rock Blast
item: Leftovers
nature: Impish
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

Why this set deserves to be on-site:
-Already on site, needs updating for general flow with the site
-Provides more defensive ability than Rain Dance set
-Bug Bite added

Additional Comments:
-To be used to take physical hits
-Less power than above set

Teammates and Counters:
-Same as above set

Literally the only use I have ever found for Wormadam-G is as a pretty good rain setter (Bug/Ground has excellent type synergy with rain sweepers). I'm going to flat out reject the offensive set because Pinsir is just much better. The RestTalk set is...I don't know, I guess it could theoretically work, Wormadam-G has decent typing and defenses. The only set I would have a high chance of approving is a rain dance set, which you don't have so...

The offensive set has actually proven useful, and helps against Trick Room teams, but whatever floats your boat...

And as for the Rain Dance one, that actually seems like an interesting idea. I'll try that, and maybe post it here.

And, yes, I know Wormadam-G is outclassed by pretty much every Ground-type there is, but it hasn't been updated since before Platinum.

I'm going to finish this up (before my next writeup) and wait for one of the following to happen here:

-QC rejects it
-QC approves it

Removed Offensive and added Rain Dance.

I'm...going to approve this. Nice to see the rain dance set. I don't see the RestTalk being viable at all, but it's a fucking Wormadam, so it's not like we're pressed for room on the analysis here, and I really don't see what else it's going to do better, so...

You need to make some modifications to your skeleton though, i.e. "what makes wormadam useful". It resists Earthquake, is immune to Electric-type things, has STAB EQ, etc.

Just two notes. On the Rain Dance set, I would recommend putting Damp Rock as the first item, since its main job is setting up Rain Dance. Secondly, I don't think that many people are going to use a CB Aggron in the rain, since that's just asking something like Milotic to come in and kill it. Just saying...
Anyway, the Rain Dance set has a lot of potential, especially since Wormadam-G is seen as a very weak Pokemon, and without any uses, and I will use it on my next RD team to see how it fares. Good luck with this update!

The problem with Damp Rock is that it removes the oh-so-vital Leftovers, and a Rain user should already have a Pokemon with Damp Rock. DR best suits a lead setting up Rain Dance that's fast. Wormadam makes a terrible lead, and its mediocre defenses almost necessitate Leftovers. I'll slash it in front of Life Orb, but Leftovers is the primary item choice.

Bump again. If this doesn't get another approval, I'm going to just ignore it and move on (I have another analysis reserved.)

I agree with Flashrider. Damp Rock should be the first slot, and remove Life Orb. It's just your mentality of using Rain. The stars of the show are the sweepers, not the supporters. When using Rain, and Rain isn't up, your priority is to get it back up and for as long as possible. The Rain sweepers should be the ones doing the sweeping, and 3 more Rain turns can take out 3 more Pokemon of your opponent. Wormadam is having trouble killing one Pokemon. It's 3 Rain turns versus 6 and It makes a hell lot of difference. Even if you Rain up and die, that's fine. You gain a free switch-in and any Rain sweeper will maim Aggron.

I'll test wormadam, but first:

[SET]
name: Rain Dance
move 1: Rain Dance
move 2: Sucker Punch / Bug Bite
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Toxic
item: Leftovers / Damp Rock / Life Orb
nature: Impish
EVs: 240 HP / 216 Atk / 52 Def

Yeah, Damp Rock should definitely be the first slash. Rain dance teams shouldn't have to frequently fall back on walls except to set up rain and to take the occasional hit. As such, Leftovers should not be as big a necessity. And Life Orb? Wormadam shouldn't be trying to sweep when you have 3-4 much more powerful sweepers accompanying it. Put simply, Damp Rock should be the optimal choice.

Sorry about bumping this, but I'd like to make a few comments:

At first I though Dugtrio totally outclassed Rain Wormadam, but then after testing,This actually outclassed something due to it's defenses. For Wormadam, this is like the end of civilization as we know it. I'm doing more testing atm and really want to see this on site soon.

Obviously Damp Rock should be first /. Those 3 more turns help so much when you're a slow as hell outside of rain.

I tested out the rain set on one of my other Shoddy accounts, and I finally found it to be effective. One comment that I have is that enemy Rain teams take advantage of Wormadam-G, and try to kill it with Surf. Also, sorry about the bump, but I think that Wormadam-G has some potential, and this update shouldn't just go down the drain...

Arcticblast has allowed me to take over Wormadam-G. I won't make edits to the sets, but I will add the Overview, Team Options, Optional Changes, and Counters sections. This thread can be locked and moved.
On another note, I just realized that I made a pun in my post above this one.
