ILY Smogon. You guys really helped me to improve my team building skills. Here's a team I made based on advice from the Smog.

Here We Go:

Lead:
487.png

lil' Mew (Azelf) @ Colbur Berry Trait: Levitate
EVs: 8 HP / 140 Atk / 216 Spd / 144 SDef
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn
- Explosion

Nick: Mew is my favourite lead EVER :D This the closest thing to Mew in OU
EVs: The standard Colbur Berry EVs. Lets Azelf hhave some bulk while keeping its great speed. Azelf can Take any hit from Common Leads I think... The remainder is put into attack to pump up that Explosion.
Srategy: You'll see the strategy in in the Lead synergy section, but here's basically what i do. Taunt slow leads, Stealth rocks, and U-turn out (Explode if I think its a threat). For faster leads, I u-turn to the appropriate Check. Colbur Berry lets me function normally against T-Tar and the imfamous lead Machamp. Azelf can be used after the lead part is done to taunt, Death Fodder, or to go BOOM

Support:
134.png

Hemmingway (Vaporeon) (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 204 Def / 12 Spd / 40 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

- Wish
- Protect
- Surf
- Roar

Nick: Named after "The Old Man And The Sea" :D
EVs: 252 Hp ensures maxmum special bulk without investing EVs in it. I put 200 Def with a Bold nature to make up for lousy defense. The EVs in Sp.Att are for Gliscors, Foretresses, and others. I like having that extra damage with vappy :D
Strategy: I try to pass wishes to my otherwise offensive team. Really comes in handy. Protect and wish is a good combo, effectively giving instant recovery, and it lets me deal with Choiced pokes. Protect is good to check for Explosion too. Surf hits Gliscor, Infernape, Heatran, even Forretress if I can get him on a switch in. Roar is to rack up damage, on Stealth Rock weak teams, and general phasage. Also, this thing is my only check to alot of things, and my only water resist.

Scarfer/Scout:
330.png

IcanFly xD (Flygon) (M) @ Choice Scarf Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

- Earthquake
- Outrage
- ThunderPunch
- U-turn

Nick: Pretty simple Nick, look at those Cute wings
EVs: Extremely Standard Ev's. Need max speed on a Scarfer (Duh) and Max Attack to hit Hard.
Strategy: I added this to assist my core in Dealing with Things that set up, mainly DD Gyarados, Hence Thunderpunch. U-Turn is an epic move, and lets me hit Psychics, Notably Celebi. It also lets me get some Momentum going. They switch fearing an EQ, only to find I U-Turn, then i get to switch to a counter :D Outrage is Epic Late-Game, and has got me some wins, Also my most powerful move. EQ is for things like Heatran, Jolteon, etc.

The Core:
corecrisis_salatarzone.jpg

Time for my EPIC Core, as if you didnt Guess by the pic :D

Sub-PainSplitter:
94.png

Eddie (Gengar) (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

- Substitute
- Pain Split
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast

Nick: Named after Iron Maidens Mascot
EV's: Again, EVs are Extremely standard, Speed is important, So is Sp.Att to hit hard.
Strategy: The point of this Core is that each Poke deals with each other's threats and counters. Gengar deals with dangerous threats like Breloom and Lucario, and Infernape. Substitute lets me get free attacks and block Status, providing Prediction is correct. I also use it with Life Orb and Sandstorm to lower my Hp, and abuse Pain Split. Shadow Ball is the Prime attack. Focus Blast gives a great Coverage with it, although I HATE the accuracy.

Poke who's main function I'm unsure of:
248.png

Ozma (Tyranitar) (M) @ Choice Band Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 48 HP / 252 Atk / 208 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Aqua Tail

Nick: Named after a friend. Ozma if you're reading this, ILY :D
EVs: I started using Standard EV's, But hated getting outsped by EVERYTHING. I took some EVs from Hp and put them into Speed. 208 in Speed is enough to Outspeed a rotom with no Speed EVs.
Strategy: I love Trapping Ghosts and killing them, Especially Rotom. I can also use pursuit on an unsuspecting Blissey, doing over half. Crunch And Stone Edge are great Stab Moves, and incredibly strong with a Band. Aqua Tail DECIMATES Hippowdon, other Ttars, Heatran, and Gliscor. Who knew Band-Tar was so great? The low speed is the main Problem, but i love the power. Not much can take a hit from this unless it resists, and even then, it does decent damage.

Steel-Rapist:
467.png

Metallica (Magnezone) @ Leftovers Trait: Magnet Pull
EVs: 40 HP / 216 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunder Wave
- Substitute

Nick: METALLICAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
EVs: I didnt really investigate the EVs of the set, but max Sp.Att seems logical, and some Hp for bulk. AmIrite?
Strategy: I love using Maggy to punish people for using Skarm and Forretress. Also, It puts a stop to Lead Rachi's trying to Flinch Azelf, and the Powerhouse that is BulletPunch Scizor. I can get a free Sub up on most steels, (Choiced ones anyway) and Get a free attack on whatever comes in after.Twave cripples shit up, although its not as useful as I'd hoped. Hp Grass Ploughs through Swamperts :D Thunderbolt, STAB, with that Sp.Attack is simply epic :D

Thoughts:

  • Might use Wide lens to increase accuracy of Focus Blast on Gengar?
  • Explosion over Twave on Magnezone?
  • I'm using Adamant Nature on Flygon over Jolly. Sometimes it lets me down, but i like the power. Should i switch to Jolly?
Thank you for reading. Thanks for any advice given. ILY :D

Changes:

  • Jolly nature over adamant on Flygon
  • Hidden Power Ice over Grass on Magnezone.
  • Changed the EVs on Magnezone and from Modest to timid

My Lead Synergy:
I came up with My own lead synergy, but i got the idea from the smog.

487.png
Azelf: Most are standard leads, which are faster. I U-Turn as they Taunt, set up Rocks, or even U-Turn aswell. If they dont U-Turn, I go to flygon and U-Turn again, either killing Azelf, or getting the advantage on the switch.

142.png
Aerodactyl: This thing is faster, so a Taunt or Rocks is coming. I U-Turn, breaking the sash, and go to Vaporeon and surf for the kill

260.png
Swampert: Taunt, even if they see a taunt and ice beam, it does next to nothing, thanks to bulky EVs. I can Set up my own rocks now, and go BOOM.

376.png
Metagross: This thing can be tricky. It can't OHKO Azelf, So i Go for rocks. If he Meteor Mashes on the First Turn, I go to Vaporeon to take the Bullet Punch, and hit it with Surfs'. Protect to check for Explosion.

385.png
Jirachi: I Switch to Magnezone as they Iron Head. GG D:<

395.png
Infernape: Fake Out isnt too bad, because i dont have a sash Usually I set up rocks If im not dead by then, BOOM!

68.png
Machamp: Not a problem. I Set up rocks and take the Payback thanks to Colbur Berry, Then go BOOM!

410.png
Roserade: Taunt. Set up Rocks on the Leaf Storm/Switch if he stays in, i go BOOM!, or U-Turn if i feel like he knows the BOOM is coming. Scarf Leads are pretty uncommon, but i stay in and go for taunt. If it misses, yay! :D If it doesnt, I switch To Flyong as he switches, ready to U-Turn or stay in and attack.

248.png
Tyranitar: Again, not a problem. Set up Rocks as they attack with a dark move, then U-Turn into Flygon for another U-Turn.

477.png
Gliscor: They Usually U-Turn, so i Set up Rocks as they do, and see where it goes from there.

490.png
Heatran: Taunt, Take the Fire Blast, then U-Turn to Vaporeon. Protect helps check for explosions.

291.png
Ninjask: Set up rocks, go to Vaporeon for the Roar. GG

474.png
Yanmega: I HATE THIS THING! Gives a lot of my team trouble. For Speed Boost lead, I set up Rocks, then Go to Vaporeon to Phase it. For Specs I go straight to Vappy and throw some Surfs at it. Life Orb variants are dangerous. I need to play around them until I can Get a good attack in. The Trouble is knowing which one it is.

someone rate me pl0x ;o; i need halp
Ill put a threat list here once i learn how.

Hello!

To start a Rotom-W will give you some trouble, being able to hit most of your teammates for a hefty amount of damage and since you said that Yanmega is annoying, then your team is in desperate need of a choice scarf heatran which can deal with both of these threats with STAB fire blast, just use: Fire Blast | Earth Power | Hidden Power [Electric] | Explosion. Hp elec helps check gyara nicely, and scarf tran works as a great replacement for flygon.

Good Luck!

Replacing Flygon with Scarf Tran would comepletely fuck up my team. An extran ground weakness, and one less immunity. Also, I now have no Electric resist, as well as no scout. Also, Speed Bost Yanmega Completely rapes Tran with Hp Ground.
I'll investigate what you said about the rotom weakness.
Thanks.

Hello!

Well, to start, you have a pretty cool team here. Here are some problems that you might encounter:

  • Machamp
  • Swords Dance Lucario with Bullet Punch
  • Weavile
  • Starmie
  • Gengar

Now, this suggestion will sound a little strange to you, but I'm going to recommend changing Vaporeon to Scarf Celebi with a set of Leaf Storm, Psychic, Earth Power, and Trick. Celebi can switch-in on Machamp's DynamicPunch and deal heavy damage, or Trick him your Choice Scarf to badly mess up the standard set.

Lucario's standard set with Extremespeed loses to Gengar, yes. But if he carries Bullet Punch in exchange, he can OHKO standard Gengar. Celebi will not be taking a ton of damage even from Lucario's Swords Dance-d priority moves, and can revenge kill him with Earth Power.

Weavile is...still trouble. Vaporeon was an okay counter, but I'm not quite sure how to handle this rare threat.

Starmie can reek havoc on your team, but there is a way that you can play around it without making any changes, by switching Vaporeon on Hydro Pump and then switching Flygon in on a Thunderbolt. However, with Celebi, you can switch in on Hydro Pump or Thunderbolt and revenge-kill with Leaf Storm, as Starmie will be expecting to outpace you and finish you off with Ice Beam.

Gengar is trouble because the new Substitute set, and while you can't really have a guaranteed counter to this set, you can revenge kill it. Since Scarf Celebi is a rarity, you can surprise Gengar with a OHKO from Psychic. Flygon, of course, can revenge kill. Also, because of Gengar and Starmie, I'm going to recommend a more special bulky spread in order to take hits from Zapdos and Rotom better.

I hope I was helpful!

Thanks for the rate :D
Although I dont want half my team choiced, and switching would lose me my wish support, and a solution to alot of threats.
Although I will consider it... :D

the EV spread on your magnezone is outdated. change it to 40 HP/252 SpA/216 Spe Timid. this will ensure that it outspeeds all skarmory (most invest in speed these days) and all adamant scizor. Seeing how scarf flygon is everywhere these days, using HP ice to eliminate it from behind a sub may not be a bad idea. it also hits gliscor, shaymin, and bulky ddnite SE for what its worth. the only real advantage of hp grass is hitting swampert who isn't really a threat to the rest of your team. ttar in particular does a good job already at luring it out and taking nearly half of its health with CB crunch.

also. yes I do think you should run Jolly on Flygon. Jolly lets you outpace and revenge max speed adamant agiligross who otherwise has the potential to really tear up the rest of your team mid to late game (vaporeon is the only one on your team capable of taking more than 1 hit from its attacks).

Sup Moo! Your Team Seems Solid,But Agility Lucario Can Tear Up This Team If He Set-Up On You D:.Lets See The Calc's.

Agility Lucario Vs. The Team:
CC To Tyranitar: 240.4% - 283.5% (OHKO)
Ice Punch To Flygon: 166.1% - 196.7% (OHKO)
CC To Magnezone: 156.6% - 185.8% (OHKO)
Crunch To Gengar: 127.5% - 150.4% (OHKO)
Crunch To Azelf: 101% - 119.5% (OHKO) Without Colbur Berry
CC To Vaporeon: 54.9% - 64.5% (2HKO)

To Remedy That,You Can Use Rotom-H > Gengar And As Rotom Can Survive Crunch And OHKOING Back With Overheat :).Other Then That,Solid Team ( Or Not?)

Good Luck!

Crunch Does around 75% to Rotom, Provided its the Rest-Talk Set. And Overheat isnt a good move choice on the Rest-Talk set, so I dont think I'll be making that change. Even then, Luke has a 50% chance on living the overheat.
Agilty Luke is pretty uncommon, but if I run into one, ill just play around it, and try to take it out with Vappy. Thanks for the rate :D

I would run HP grass and magnet rise on your magnezone. This allows you to punish Swampert switch ins and dodge earthquakes from metagross.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try it out, and if i decide to keep it ill let you know :D
