Pokemon PKMN files

I think it would be cool if you had a file repository or a download link next to each of the pokemon build sets where you can DL the PKMN file for each of the sets to make it easier on some people who use Pokesav

First, do you really need to make Pokesav easier? >_>

Secondly, I'm not sure Smogon actually endorses hacks. I'm pretty sure you have to keep mum about it.
 
I don't really see the functional difference between trading an actual Pokemon and distributing pkmn files. Wouldn't that just make Wi-Fi completely obsolete?

Wi-Fi technically is already, just some prefer legitimacy.
 
as Scepticallistic said, Pokésav is almost as easy as Shoddy Battle, minus obvious caveats that I should not promote. Anyways, most battlers use "legal hacks" in Wi-Fi. I myself do not, but I allow my opponents to use them because training/trading for your own Pokémon is quite a bit of work, even for RNG junkies such as myself. Do not trade your hacks, legal or not, or you are a huge jerk and will get blacklisted on principle ;)
 
I like the idea, although it would have to be strictly moderated. Only have a few .pkm files should be uploaded, as so that the Wi-Fi Forum doesn't break down completely. It should be limited to the most redistributed fully redis Pokemon, like Bozo's Gyarados, Syberia's Ditto or Christain's 13th Movie Dogs, which are found in 90% of trade threads anyway.
 
Well, I think the OT was thinking more along the lines of having the Smogon sets available so legal hackers wouldn`t need to spend so much time `saving. It wouldn`t replace legitimacy IMO. Maybe they`d have a, say, OT of Smogon and an ID of 00000 to differentiate them from real pokemon or something. They`d be built to fail legality tests.

There is nothing beneficial coming from this suggestion, and it will create nothing but headaches.
