Team Admiral Wolverine Lightning Bolt

Edit: I'm an idiot and messed up the title. This is Team Admiral Wolverine Lightning Bolt.

I am pretty new at this, and I wanted a team that involved 2 of my favorite pokes, Yanmega and Breloom.

Metagross @ Lum Berry
Adament
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe

Meteor Mash
Bullet Punch
Stealth Rocks
Explosion

Metagross has been a very helpful lead to me since the recommendation. He comes in and destroys suicide leads, is able to set up rocks against anti-leads, and can be a potent switch in later in the game. The EVs are simple as to retain survivalbillity, and power. Meteor Mash hits everythng hard while bullet punch's priority finishes the job. Rocks for, well... setting up rocks. And Explosion over Earthquake as a last minute, "YOU DIE" sort of thing. The help he gives with dispatching opposing pokes and being able to come in later in the game and help with the momentum is amazing. Starmie can take fire moves aimed at Metagross, and Rotom laughs at Earthquakes. Metagross also gives me the Dragon resistance I need for the team.

Metagross vs. common leads
482.gif
Azelf: Meteor Mash, Bullet Punch. Almost any move it does, I don't mind that much.

068.gif
Machamp: Meteor Mash, Bullet Punch, Dynamic Punch is cured by the Lum, and I kill it with My own moves.

142.gif
Aerodactyl: Mash/Punch.

376.gif
Metagross: I have to predict, wheter or not he wants to Set up, or try for the Kill. I would normally set up rocks, then Switch to Rotom to take the Earthquake, then decide what to do from there.

260.gif
Swampert: Set up rocks on it, Swtich to Rotom or Breloom for the EQ, then dispatch accordingly.

392.gif
Infernape: I would Switch to Starmie after the Fake Out, to either take the Fire Blast, or watch it set up Rocks, then Pump it's face off, and kill it with a LOL Rapid Spin

485.gif
Heatran: Switch to Starmie to take the Fire move, then hit whatever comes in with a Hydro Pump

385.gif
Jirachi: Switch to Rotom, if it Tricked, HA! If it Iron Head, I don't really care too much, and then choose the move I would like to do.

291.gif
Ninjask: Keep mashing its face in till in range of Bullet punch kill.

407.gif
Roserade: Absorb the sleep, Mash it, then kill it with a bullet punch

Infernape @ Choice Band
Adament
252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 SpD
Blaze

Close Combat
Flare Blitz
U-Turn
Mach Punch

This is my Physical Beast. This Ape plows through Pokes like Water, unless it is a water type. First Moves are common, C.C. for Powerful STAB, Flare Blitz for another powerful STAB, U-Turn for Scouting. I added Mach Punch for a good reason. I wanted an extremly powerful poke, but can outspeed, in comes an Adament Mach Punch. Trading Jolly for Adament, makes me lose to a few pokes, but the really only notable one is Gliscor, who I can Switch to Rotom and take anything.

121.png

Starmie @ Life Orb
Timid Nature
252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Natural Cure

Hydro Pump
Thunderbolt
Recover
Rapid Spin

I need a spinner, I knew that from the start. Yanmega can't come in and lose 50% right off the bat. Starmie works with this Hyper Offensive team and it really packs a punch. The lack of Reover does hurt from time to time, but it was a sacrifice I had to take. Hydro Pump for powerful STAB, Thunderbolt to take care of Gyrados, Recover to have my Star live longer, take hits, and deal out more damage throughout the match.

286.png

Breloom @ Toxic Orb
Adament Nature
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Poison Heal

Spore
Focus Punch
Substiute
Leech Seed

Ah, my favorite OU poke. A leech Seed Breloom is here to devistate stall teams, as well as keep my breloom looking in tip top shape. Focus as a powerful STAB, and is only baned by Ghost, all wich cant hurt Breloom that bad, while I sap life away from them. Substitue to use Focus Punch, and I gain the life back extremely easy. A SporePuncher is likely to take the spot, but my testing so far has been remarkable with this poke.

474.png

Yanmega @ Choice Specs
Modest Nature
4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Tinted Lens

Bug Buzz
Air Slash
Hidden Power (Ground)
U-Turn

Specs Tinted Lens Yanmega is a beautiful thing. It deals a huge amount of damgae on anything not named Blissy. Bug Buzz is there as a STAB that is resisted by a lot of typed, which is a great thing for Tinted Lens Air Slash for another STAB and a Check to Machamp. Hidden Power Ground for those Steels that hurt me really bad, and U-Turn to Scout.

Rotom-a @ Choice Scarf
Timid Nature

252 HP / 252 Spe / 4 SpAtk

-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
-Willowisp
-Trick

A great way to dispatch Gengar, Choice Scarf Rotom is an amazing revenge killer, as it hits hard, and it can cripple those who I don't like to see, such as DDragonite, and Stall teams. Thunderbolt for a great STAB move along with Shadow Ball. Will-O-Wisp to burn pokes suck as Machamp and anything else I don't like that hits hard. Trick is to cripple stat uppers, and stall teams. A great thanx for this as a recommendation.

That's my team and it has been doing decently well on the ladder, any comments would be great, and I don't mind any bashing from anyone, as long as I still get recommendations to help the Team. All changes will be in a different color.

I suggest Jolly nature on Infernape because Choice Band already gives you a lot of power, and without Jolly nature, you don't even outrun base 100s with a + Speed nature.

Don't see much else. Very solid team.

Good luck!

Some threats that could bring up serious issues.

Threats
Swords Dance Lucario- to an extent
Offensive Suicune
Dragon Dance Dragonite
Subsplit Gengar
Chesto Rest Kingdra

Although you can revenge it with Mach Punch, Swords Dance Lucario can be very threatening by setting up on Breloom's Stone Edge and grabbing a boost. Sure, Infernape can revenge, but is definitely not guaranteed a safe-switch in, even taking upwards 50% damage from a resisted +2 Crunch. Suicune can set up on Infernape locked into the wrong move or Breloom stuck on Spore (assuming Sleep Clause is active), grab a Calm Mind, and be very dangerous with Hydro Pump/Ice Beam/HP Electric. The absolute best would be to send in Breloom and Seed Bomb which doesn't OHKO even after SR and Leftovers, and die to +1 Ice Beam, losing your important revenge killer. The other would be to send in Starmie, die to HP Electric, and weaken it with Thunderbolt, meaning you lose a very potent check to Infernape and Heatran, and then revenge with Breloom. Dragonite, can set up on Infernape, Breloom, and Yanmega locked into the wrong move, DD up, and be huge prick, especially if its the offensive Life Orb Version, with +1 Outrage or Dragon Claw/Fire Punch/Earthquake. Gengar can set up as easily as Dragonite on the aforementioned victims, and its going to take down two or more Pokemon for sure, as Starmie is the only one who can do real damage to it. Infernape, Yanmega, and Rotom are outsped very easily and destroyed by Shadow Ball. Breloom's best option is Stone Edge, which isn't that reliable due to accuracy and most importantly, doing up to 74% damage maximum. Finally, Kingdra can set up on Infernape (locked into Flare Blitz), Starmie, and Rotom-H with ease, and sweep with its bulk and ability to outspeed everything with 1(or more) Dragon Dances. The funny thing is, if the Kingdra user lead off with a Machamp, Aggron will be weakened to the point where it won't be able to take Outrages, and Kingdra will be able to sweep unhindered. Speaking of taking Outrages, your use of Aggron as a suicide lead, when it is your only Dragon- resist is no good. Having a severely weakened Steel- type will mean opposing Outraging/Draco Meteor Dragons will have an easy time with this team.

First off, I think Aggron should be replaced with the standard Lum Berry Metagross. As mentioned, you rely on Aggron to fight leads that will leave it weakened to take on Dragon- type attacks, Metagross is different, as it can destroy Machamp leads with plenty to spare, while switching out to a teammate against Heatran and Infernape, who he has no business with. I think 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Spe with an Adamant nature and a Lum Berry. Try a moveset of, Stealth Rock/Meteor Mash/Bullet Punch/Explosion or Earthquake. Rest-talk Rotom-A looks sorta misplaced on a team like this, and to handle Swords Dance Lucario, Gengar, and better take on Kingdra with Trick, I think Scarf Rotom-H would want to be in this team. Its one of the best checks to Lucario, while taking on a Gengar without a Substitute, being an "Oh-SHIT" button against many stat-uppers, especially Chesto-Rest Kingdra. 200 HP/52 Satk/252 Spe with a Timid Nature and Choice Scarf. Thunderbolt/Shadow Ball/Will-O-Wisp/Trick is ideal, Will-O-Wisp so Scarf Tyranitar isn't too eager to switch in. Rotom can also take care of non Lum berry Dragonite with a painful Will-O-Wisp, that will badly cripple it. To top it all off, Rotom can cripple Starmie's and Yanmega's biggest counter, Blissey with Trick, meaning they'll have a good chance to run rampant against Stall. Breloom now becomes dead weight, and was before as well, as I really didn't see what additional threats it actually checked. I think Choice Band Scizor will do well over Breloom, pairing up incredibly well with CB Infernape, a double U-turn team to lure out potential checks and counters that the other members can handle (Gyarados, Dragonite, etc.). Scizor takes some work off of Rotom-H's hands, handling Gengar, somewhat checking Dragonite, and even handling Lucario after Defense drops, if Rotom-H somehow fails. Plus, an additional DD Tyranitar counter, Outrage/Draco Meteor absorber is never a bad thing, especially since these types of teams are home to CB Scizor. 248 HP/252 Atk/8 Sdef with an Adamant nature, Choice Scarf, and the following moveset, Bullet Punch/U-turn/Super Power/Pursuit is cool.

Other than that, sweet hyper offensive team.

GL

I like the switch to a scarf rotom to help with gengar, and the banded scizor, though not my favorite poke, could be a help with the team. Only thing I fear is the fact of having 5 choice pokes, so I'll try both the banded scizor and the life other scizor and I'll tell how they do. As for metagross, I'm vert reluctant on using it, as aggron has proven to be very helpful dispatchin pokes for me.

Sorry, forgot to go over that, but I think a Mixed Dragonite can do well over Yanmega. Its great and all, but is not all that difficult to wall and set up on. Stall also gives you troubles now, and I think a Dragonite with 116 Atk/200 Satk/192 Spe with a Rash nature, Draco Meteor, SuperPower, Roost, and Fire Blast will be a great stall breaker and mid game attacker in general.

Hey I got your message, cool team with a lot of choice and hard-hitting Pokemon which is always nice to see. However the team seems a bit weak to things that beat most fwg cores, specifically Offensive Suicune/Starmie, SubSplit Gengar (as you've noted), DDragonite, etc. The problem of a lack of steel types outside the suicide lead position is also a problem, as things like Kingdra and Flygon will clean you out in the late game with ease. Much of what I wanted to say has already been noted by LegendKiller, so sorry, please bear with me.

I agree that Lum Berry Metagross would be better in the lead position than Aggron. Aggron dies too easily in the early game to last as a dragon resist and steel type this team needs, and Metagross performs much better in this capacity. You also flat out beat Machamp, so no annoying mind games are required to best this guy. He also matches up better against most other leads, including the sleep leads that give you trouble currently. With Meteor Mash and Bullet Punch, he gives you a better check to Gengar as well.

I also agree with him in that your current Rotom set is very out of place and should be switched out. You say yourself this is a pretty heavily offensive team- why then, do you have the most stall-oriented set he has on this team? Bulky Scarf Rotom-a solves/checks many of your problems. The set I have in mind differs from the analysis scarf set.

rotom.png
Rotom-a @ Choice Scarf
252 HP / 252 Spe / 4 SpAtk
Timid
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
-Willowisp
-Trick

Some important differences are the HP Evs. This allows you to retain greater bulk and switch into things like Gyarados' Waterfall or Suicune's Surf more and more. Will o wisp, while not really "revenging", helps you cover a much greater range of physical attackers, including but certainly not limited to, DDragonite, SD Lucario and even DD Tyranitar in a pinch.

And now Breloom's spot opens up. Keeping the fwg core is, in my opinion, a pretty good idea, and really you're pretty weak to Tyranitar without him. So actually I'm going to recommend keeping Breloom but with a different set. The standard SubPunch set would work excellently, or alternatively the SubSeed set works great as well, this is just a matter of preference. This also helps you against Stall teams, who currently are a huge pain in the rectal area to face for you.

Now of course you may ask how that is the case when you have Starmie, but really he gets worn down pretty quickly. I would prefer he stuck around a bit longer to keep Gyarados and Infernape at bay. As such I have a very simple suggestion, and that is to run Recover over Ice Beam. Yes Ice beam comes in handy for grass types and whatnot, but I don't think those are a real issue for the team and Recover is much more valuable in the long run. Breloom and friends can have their status absorbed by Metagross in a pinch.

I also agree that Jolly > Adamant on Infernape. Yeah Adamant Mach Punch is cool but really Jolly is much more important for the team.
Calcs:

Adamant Mach Punch vs. DD Tyranitar: 99.4% - 119.3%
Jolly Mach Punch vs. DD Tyranitar: 91.2% - 108.8% (kill either way with SR)

Adamant Mach Punch vs. SD Lucario: 87.5% - 103.2%
Jolly Mach Punch vs. SD Lucario: 79.7% - 94.7% (either way not a guaranteed kill without SR and 1 turn of LO recoil or 1 close combat defense boost, but it is likely that this will be the case by the time Infernape is ready to come in)

The point is that Jolly mach punch does the exact same stuff Adamant does. The speed bump however is HUGE, meaning you outspeed Jirachi before they thunder wave / Psychic you, Shaymin before they earth power you, CB or mixed flygon before they earthquake... You get the point, a lot of Pokemon have 100 base speed and outspeeding the +Nature ones is very, very important.

That's all the advice I have for you, good luck. Hope this helps.

The metsgross lead helped a ton, as did the scarfed rotom. I haven't cotton much testing done with breloom to have efficient data.
