Why this set deserves to be on-site:

• Very unexpected set. Who expects a leafeon to sub and sweep? Most people think it's a wall, when you substitute.
• Does INSANE damage after ONE swords dance.
• Has a choice of Liechi or Salac, depending on your team's needs, speed or damage.
• Can change moveset according to berry choice.

Additional Comments:

• Sunny Day/Rain Dance can be run over Swords Dance.
• Toxic can also be used, although is not reccomended.
• Yawn allows for pseudo-phazing.

Teammates and Counters:

• Best counters are Weezing, Steelix, and Registeel. Also forced out by Espeon and Swellow, without a sub.
• So, since Steel-types counter it nicely, a Dugtrio is a very nice partner. He also eliminates Espeon and Swellow quite well.

Uh.... no. Most people like my self will expect swords dance and flee to their counter for leafeon.

I was referring to SUBSTITUTE. After seeing a substitute, most people would go to their wallbreaker. That is when you get in a Sword's Dance.

Substitute suggests Sub/SD sweep, actually, since the only thing that's interesting that Leafeon can use after a Sub is to use SD or Baton Pass.

This set doesn't beat any of Leafeon's common counters. Faster Pokemon prevent you from either Swords Dancing or activating the berry boost, while slower Pokemon just wall you (Registeel, Weezing, most especially Venusaur).

Pretty much what Eo said. This set not only performs worse than the standart Swords Dance one, but UU is the land of priority, and the odds Leafeon will get an SD, a berry boost and happily attain its sweep is just too minimal. That isn't to mention this set fails to get past a fair amount of Pokemon even if it gets the boost.
