Worried about encountering other nasty surprises, you quickly leave the verdant meadow and continue up the path towards the top of the plateau. As you progress in your advance, you reach a bridge of stone, suspended over a pit of lava below. You cross it with upmost care, making your best efforts to not look below. After the bridge, you get to another echelon - high enough to make you think you are close to the top. On a first moment you were going to go through it without much though, but something catches your eyes all of a sudden. Some flames are flowing through little fissures scattered on the ground. It would be something normal for a place like this, if not for the fact the flames are of a light blue and oscillate in an odd manner, making you think for a second they're almost... alive.

Nevertheless, you impute this to a sort of mirage and go on. The path now follows the circular form of the highest echelon, with a tongue of rock surrounding the plateau which allows you to reach the top. Again, something in your mind strongly suggest you not to look down, as you slowly advance through this really narrow route. Luckily for you, the road is not long, and within few minutes you finally are on the very top of Wildfire Plateau. Whichever is the cause of the altered weather, it must be somewhere around here - or at least, that's your guess. You start looking around, but there seems to be no things worth noting. After some time spent searching the place, you resign yourself to come back and look if the problem lies somewhere else. However...

A sudden roar echoes in the air, amplified by the surrounding peaks! You turn frantically your eyes around to see where did that noise come from, then you look above. A magnificent bird, imbued into shining flames, is diving towards you. Luckily, you manage to dodge it, but the bird seems willing to attack again! You prepare your Poké Balls, ready to face the new threat.

Round 1

The team start attacking but, worried about Moltres's retaliation, holds back on the offense - waiting for the slower team mates to build up defenses. Moltres however doesn't wait, and begins diving recklessly on Maleficient, leaving deep wounds in the Hydreigon's dark skin. Then, the legendary bird throws a blue flame to Turret, causing the Stratagem to burn in flames similar to the ones you saw on your way here.

By the way waterwarrior, I asked zarator about Taunt and it would actually put Maleficent's threat at 1.3x Stratagem's threat. I don't know if Stratagem would be able to take threat back, but I suspect it'd be better if it didn't. If you manage to get this message before zarator refs, could you perhaps change Slowbro's first action to Thunder Wave?

Round 3

Turret keeps attacking like there's no tomorrow, while Maleficient draws the enemy's attention from the Stratagem. However Moltres suddenly flies beyond reach, evading Derpy's weak wave of electricity. Hades expected such a move, and brights up the light around himself to improve the accuracy of its attacks. The Slowbro makes up for its mistake by healing up Turret, but now it's the Hydreigon that starts looking weakened by Moltres's fierce blows.

If Moltres is untargetable when you would attack A1, change that action to Heal Pulse (Stratagem)

So as it is now, we need to keep Strata alive for as long as possible, as it's literally half our damage output. Moltres is vulnerable to Taunt again, so Hydreigon needs to sacrifice itsle fot take threat back. If Charizard can do something to keep Hydreigon/Strata alive, that'd be awesome, but I don't think it does, so it should just attack. I just wish Derpy had more EN left...

Round 5

Hades quickly draws once more the foe's attention to prevent Turret from being obliterated. As expected, Moltres turns once again on the Hydreigon, giving the rest of the squad some breathing room for beating down the fierce enemy. What is a bit less expected, though, is that after seemingly having enough of this brawl, Moltres's body turns bright, bathing the entire battlefield in a blinding light! It seems the eerie blue flame that was burning the Stratagem has faded away, too.

Well Objection, looks like Hydreigon is done for. Derpy can't Heal Pulse it, but at the same time, it's ok that we're losing it. If we keep straight on attacking it, it's gonna have less than 100 HP at the end of this round (especially since Charizard gets the Solar Power boost and Hydreigon can spend both actions attacking), and then we can finish it off even without Turret! FULL STEAM AHEAD!

Round 6

Moltres grabs Maleficient with its talons and sends her crushing on the ground. However the Hydreigon recovers from the blow and dodges the violent gust of wind at the last moment. Meanwhile, the other team mates lash out at the foe, leaving it severely worn out.
