Heaven's Ascent
Difficulty: Uber
Prerequisites: Succesfully reach the boss of Rock Crag, Ice Spire, and Iron Dungeon.
Arena: N/A (No Terrain-Based Pokeballs function here)

RP Path:
RP 1 --> RP 2 --> Guardians --> RP 3 --> Boss

Timeless Tower is an unfathomably large structure seated on an impregnable cliff-side. The tower's main spire looms over its entrance hundreds of feet into the air. Bridges extend from the main tower to three separate spires, each on an island pillar of immense density. The ocean roars violently below, beckoning you to stay away.

The bridge to the east leads to a tower frozen over in a massive pillar of ice. The sunlight glistens against its reflective surface, yet no melt can be shown. You look cold just staring at it.

The bridge to the west leads to a craggy pillar that seems to be etched from the very earth itself, impossibly dense and immovable.

A third tower can be seen behind the structure on your map, but it is eclipsed by the sheer enormity of the main spire. It is made of the sturdiest looking metal you have ever seen, an unnaturally purely refined solidity that shares the brilliant sheen of the icy tower and the sheer density of the crag.

As you go up to the entrance, the drawbridge on the main gate opens and falls with a loud crash onto the only access to the mainland. On either side of the bridge are statues of Golurk holding up massive spears. As you enter the main atrium, a massive statue of Golem rolled up into a ball takes the center of the arena. You look around the room and see exits your east and west going to the towers, stairs built into the floor going down presumably to the tower behind the main spire and a massive door with three slots in the gate. Depictions of the gate are on the left and right and show three stones being placed in the gate. Both mosaics are completely sand-colored except for the stones. One is an azure blue, one is a dull brown, and the other a shimmering silver. You attempt to push the gate, but it is so massively heavy you feel tired just pushing on it. It will not budge.

Recently, there have been reports of a large earthquake that shook the area. Ever since, the Pokemon in the area have become quite hostile, and most report the layouts of the dungeons having changed. You can even see that the towers seem somewhat shorter, though no less ominous.

What could this all mean? And where do you go from here?

Player Options:
a) Enter Ice Spire.
b) Enter Rock Crag.
c) Enter Iron Dungeon.
d) Enter Heaven's Ascent.
e) Leave Timeless Tower.
You approach the massive door you saw the first time you entered Timeless Tower. Like the rest of this desolate place, it too stands exactly as it had before you went through your three previous trials.

Your Rock Ruby, Ice Sapphire, and Steel Pearl react as you approach the door, and its massive doors swing open of its own accord. The massive doors were blocking an immense spiral staircase, which goes up for meters and meters until it hits the ceiling. You wrap around the main hall and come to a room directly above the atrium, when you see a circle carved in the floor and three orbs in a triangle pattern.

Rather ominously, as you walk into the middle of the circle, the orbs glow violently... and then unceremoniously stop glowing, as a door at the end of the room opens up revealing a blank wall. As you go through the door, you notice ladders on either side.

After a brief climb, you come to a landing that displays two stained glass windows over the entrance. One depicts a meadow, while the other depicts open skies. Path choosing time!

Player Options:
a) Head towards the meadow staircase
b) Head towards the sky staircase

a) Head towards the meadow staircase

You head towards the meadow staircase, and as you ascend into the next room you notice these particular rooms weave their way around the main column if Timeless Tower. The place is so massive that life inside the walls seems to sustain itself, even though, technically speaking, the whole tower is indoors. As you continue upward you are suddenly ambushed, as a pile of sand is kicked up and your <Pokemon with Lowest Defence> seems to be missing. You look upward and see a Staraptor has carried it off. It takes off with Agility, dragging your Pokemon with it. It will take two rounds just to catch up with it.

[REF NOTE] Initiate Trap vs Staraptor, who uses Sand Attack then Agility. Arena: Meadow Nest. After battle, advance to Meadow Nest

b) Head towards the sky staircase

You head towards the sky staircase, and as you ascend into the next room you notice these particular rooms weave their way around the main column if Timeless Tower. The place is so massive that life inside the walls seems to sustain itself, even though, technically speaking, the whole tower is indoors. In this particular section, however, the tower is open to the sky. You dare not look down, for you know you're quite high up on the tower. However, whilst you're distracted by the view, you're suddenly ambushed as <Pokemon with Highest Weight Class> gets hit from behind by a Wigglytuff's Skull Bash, before it alters the local Gravity and takes off. The Gravity feels like it is pulling you not only down, but pushing you backwards as if you throw you out the tower, and you estimate it'll take two rounds to fight through it and catch up.

[REF NOTE] Initiate Trap vs Wigglytuff, who uses Skull Bash then Gravity. Arena: Sky Nest. After battle, advance to Sky Nest
As you proceed up another set of stairs, you reach another open area. This one actually seems wider than the previous area, and you're not sure what to attribute that too. Nonetheless, enjoying the sights are short lived as a group of Ambipom attack you for trespassing on their home.

[REF NOTE] Initiate Horde Encounter with 5x Ambipom. Arena: Meadow Nest.

After defeating the Ambipom, you head further up the path to an area where both paths seem to intersect into another atrium. This stairwell enters the room from below.
Another aviary lies beyond, and you notice the scale on this side of the tower seems higher than the other areas you've been in. It appears to twist down below at the next passageway. Unfortunately, before you get there, a flock of Fearow (3) block your path. Known for their even-keeled temperament, the Fearow immediately begin a dive-bombing.

[REF NOTE] Initiate Horde Encounter with 5x Fearow. Arena: Sky Nest

After defeating the Fearow, you head further up the path to an area where both paths seem to intersect into another atrium. This stairwell enters the room from above.
As you continue up the main tower, you recall your previous experiences. Where other towers seems to be sending you deep into the depths, the chief complaint about this spire is the sheer vertical ascent. You can't recall how long you have been climbing, but it certainly feels like its been forever. You eventually come to a room high on the tower that has windows. It seems however your climb took so long that the sun has set, and only the moonlight shines in. In the half-light you see a Pokemon sitting in the center of the room. It makes no attempt to stop you until you try and go around it. The Pokemon may be lazy, but it's still guarding something. Eventually, it calls down a pair of Vigoroth, and they come down the stairs. They do not make any outright attempt to attack you, but it has become clear that if you want to move forward you will have to fight these three Pokemon.

[REF NOTE] Initiate Guardian Fight with Slaking and 2x Vigoroth. Arena: Brilliant Midnight
With the Guardians defeated, you turn your attention to the stairs, and start climbing again. After some climbing, you reach a landing similar to that of when you came in. You can tell, based on how high up the tower you are, that you have almost reached your goal, but you know the battle isn't over yet. From a door on the opposite side of the landing, a Girafarig confidently steps out, sealing off the entrance and exit with a Light Screen. It then uses Telekiniesis to drag your <Pokemon with lowest Speed> into a separate area behind the screen. This one looks like a much stronger temporary barrier, but it won't dissipate for two rounds.

[REF NOTE] Initiate Trap vs Girafarig, who uses Light Screen then Telekinesis. Arena: Tower Landing
You finally reach the top of the tower, and what awaits you is a room unfathomably massive. The circular room opens up into the sky, and for some reason you feel like you stand atop the heavens, even if you didn't think the tower went this high when you stood outside. The radius of this spire must be at least 150 feet, and at the very end of the hall stands the largest thrown you have even seen. As you make your way into the center of the room, you can notice more details. Sitting in the thrown is a gray replica of Regigigas. Atop its throne are 5 hollowed out holes shaped much like the slots in Regigigas' body, all in a vertical arrangement. As you enter the very center of the massive atrium, the entire arena starts to glow with blue, brown, and silver lines emanating first from the slots, and later down onto the entire arena. The massive room itself appears to have come alive! You stand in terror as Regigigas' thin gray veneer fades, revealing its vibrant body. It sits there as if in judgement, immobile. the 5 slots above it light up. White, Brown, Blue, Silver, White is the pattern. Regigigas stirs.

[REF NOTE] Initiate Boss Fight with Regigigas, Lopunny, and Ursaring. Arena: Celestial Gate
Guardians:
The arena that stands before you is a great open room with white tile, a grass circle in the middle, and stain glass windows on all sides. The moonlight shining through the windows is particularly powerful, which creates a beautiful blue and purple light that seems to dance on the floor. Unfortunately for you, it also keeps Ghost types from avoiding attacks as well as they normally would.

Arena Rules:
No Weather Allowed, except with a Weather Stone. Piercing light acts as a Foresight against Ghost-types. No Water Supply.
Boss:
This room, waiting atop the tower, is a true spectacle to behold. The circular room opens up into the sky, and for some reason you feel like you stand atop the heavens, even if you didn't think the tower went this high when you stood outside. The radius of the spire is 150 ft, and in front of you is a throne. Around the room sit 5 Chakras, each with a different color and effect. It would be quite a nice room to relax in were it not for the gigantic golem bearing down of you.

Arena Rules:
5 Chakras are above Regigigas' throne, and alternate in a 8 action pattern. As each Chakra is used, that slot loses its shine and its field effect takes place. Chakra damaging effects do not have STAB, but do have perfect accuracy, and occur as the last action during any round.

-Items cannot be removed from boss, however Embargo, Heal Block, and Magic Room will work.

Top White - Vitality Chakra - Regigigas regains 20 HP.
Brown - Rock Wrecker - 4 Atk Rock Wrecker strikes a selected opponent on the field. Will not target Rock types.
Blue - Blizzard - 4 SpA Blizzard Strikes all opponents. Will target challengers that are not Ice types.
Silver - Shrapnel - Overwriting Shrapnel Weather comes into effect starting the next action for 4 actions, effecting every Pokemon but Regigigas.
Bottom White - Power Chakra - Regigigas gains permanent 1 Atk/Spe Stage Boost.
Recharge - Chakras begin to recharge.
Recharge - Chakras continue recharging.
Recharge - Chakras finish recharging, pattern repeats.

Heaven's Ascent
Difficulty: Uber
Prerequisites: Succesfully reach the boss of Rock Crag, Ice Spire, and Iron Dungeon.
Arena: N/A (No Terrain-Based Pokeballs function here)

RP Path:
Lackeys --> RP 1 [TS] --> RP 2 [MN | SN] --> Guardians --> RP 3 [SP] --> RP 4 [MS | SS]
RP Rare: Has a chance to replace any non-Lackey/Guardian/Boss battle. See Chancey Chansey.

It looks ominous, but fortunately you won't have to wait long to find out what it does. You are already being attacked.

[REF NOTE] Initiate Lackey Fight with Klink, Snover, and Bonsly. Arena: Withering Base

After just a taste of this dungeons murderous traps, you're beginning to wonder if entering it was a good idea at all. Your foes defeated, a door at the end of the room opens up revealing a blank wall. As you go through the door, you notice ladders on either side.

After a brief climb, you come to a landing that displays two stained glass windows over the entrance. One depicts a meadow, while the other depicts open skies. Alternatively you could take a respite, though based on your last encounter you don't think it's wise to loiter.

Player Options:
a) Head towards the meadow staircase
b) Head towards the sky staircase
c) Remain in the atrium and see what comes along

a) Head towards the meadow staircase

You head towards the meadow staircase, and as you ascend into the next room you notice these particular rooms weave their way around the main column if Timeless Tower. The place is so massive that life inside the walls seems to sustain itself, even though, technically speaking, the whole tower is indoors. As you continue upward you are suddenly ambushed by a whirlpool of water, which grabs your <Pokemon with Highest Weight Class> and carries it off into a crevice. As it disappears you notice the culprit: A Kangaskhan. It looks like it will take two rounds to make your way up to that ledge. In the meantime, Kangaskhan uses an Icy Wind on your bewildered Pokemon. This could not end well...

[REF NOTE] Initiate Trap vs Kangaskhan, who uses Whirlpool then Icy Wind.

Unfortunately your brief look alerted you to the Pokemon in the area. A pile of sand is kicked up and your <Pokemon with highest remaining HP> seems to be missing. You look upward and see a Staraptor has carried it off. It takes off with Agility, dragging your Pokemon with it. It will take two rounds just to catch up with it.

[REF NOTE] Initiate Trap vs Staraptor, who uses Sand Attack then Agility. Arena: Sky Nest. After battle, advance to Sky Nest

c) Remain in the atrium and see what comes along.

Remaining on the platform turns out to be a bad idea, as predicted. Your <Pokemon with the lowest Energy> gets hit from behind by a Wigglytuff Skull Bash, and then it increases the Gravity in the room and takes off. Seems this place amplifies its gravitational abilities, you won't be able to catch it for two rounds.

[REF NOTE] Initiate Trap vs Wigglytuff, who uses Skull Bash then Gravity. Arena: Tower Landing

After chasing down the Wigglytuff, you find yourself back in the atrium you were in before, though there seems to be less activity. It seems like it should be safe to go a ways up either staircase now.

[REF NOTE] Advance to Sky Nest

This time, the stain glass windows depict a tower overrun with vines, and another that has birds flying about it. You are also quite exhausted from the climb, and can rest, but given the dangers you have faced so far, that may be a bad idea.

Player Options:
a) Take the Meadow Staircase
b) Take the Sky Staircase
c) Stay Behind

a) Take the Meadow Staircase

You ascend another staircase and find, most curiously, that you hear the sound of running water. It appears Timeless Tower goes so high that frozen ice melts into an area creating a cool spring that the Pokemon enjoy. You can tell this by how jealously they guard it. A Pokemon suddenly descends on you. You attempt to run past the trees in the path, but you find it knocks you down and blasts your <Pokemon with lowest Energy> with a volley of Worry Seed. Caught in a panic, it is chased by Sawsbuck down a narrow corridor which seals itself off. It will take two rounds to find a way around it. Meanwhile, Sawsbuck protects itself with a Light Screen and stares down your trapped Pokemon.

[REF NOTE] Initiate trap vs Sawsbuck who uses Worry Seed then Light Screen. Arena: Dam Spring. After battle, advance to Meadow Spire

b) Take the Sky Staircase

As you continue to ascend the Sky Path, you entrer another wide open space overlooking the mountains below. You don't even recall seeing this from the ground, you are so high up. As you approach the exit, you are descended upon by a Braviary defending its territory. It shocks your <Pokemon with the highest Speed> with Scary Face and carries it off to a ledge. It will take two rounds to find a way up to the top. Braviary uses Hone Claws in anticipation of its next meal.

[REF NOTE] Initiate trap vs Braviary who uses Hone Claws then Scary Face. Arena: Eagle Landing. After battle, advance to Sky Spire

c) Stay Behind.

There is truly no rest for the weary, as after a loud shout a Smokescreen fills the room, and an Exploud makes off with your <Pokemon with lowest HP>. It scurries up one of the paths in the confusion and you can hear its cackling Taunt all the way through the tower. It will take you two rounds to catch up to the Exploud.

[REF NOTE] Initiate trap vs Exploud who uses Smokescreen then Taunt. Arena: Landing

After defeating the Exploud, you dash up the stairs to one of the spires, stopping only briefly to consider which one you choose.

Player Options:
a) Proceed to Meadow Spire
b) Proceed to Sky Spire

a) Proceed to Meadow Spire

[REF NOTE] Advance to Meadow Spire

b) Proceed to Sky Spire

[REF NOTE] Advance to Sky Spire

You reach the very top of the Meadow Path, and it looks like the tower has thinned substantially. There only appears to be two rooms left above you, and one is a hallway. You have almost reached your goal, but you know the battle isn't over yet. A Girafarig seals off the entrance and exit with a Light Screen, then uses Telekiniesis to drag your <Pokemon with lowest Speed> into a separate area behind the screen. This one looks like a much stronger temporary barrier, but it won't dissipate for two rounds.

[REF NOTE] Initiate Trap vs Girafarig, who uses Light Screen then Telekinesis. Arena: Meadow Spire

You ascend to the of the Sky Spire, and you dare not look down at this point. You don't even see clouds anymore at this height, and wonder how the air is thick enough to breathe. You blame some sort of unknown fungus and continue upward. It might have been too soon to discount the clouds, however. You spot a Castform, which uses a brilliant Flash, and in the commotion whisks away your <Pokemon with least HP>, and sets up (Sunny Day, Rain Dance, Hail, or Sandstorm, whichever makes Weather Ball most type-effective.)

[REF NOTE] Initiate Trap vs Castform, who uses Flash then the appropriate weather. Arena: Sky Spire

Chansey has a 10% Chance to replace any of the RP 1 Fights, a 15% chance to replace the Sawsbuck or Braviary fight [RP3], and a 25% chance to replace the Exploud fight [RP3]. Chancey Chansey can only occur once per run.

Suddenly, a Chansey walks over to you and blocks your way forwards. Alarmed by meeting an exceedingly rare Pokemon, you get your Pokeballs out. However, you soon realize that it might run away if you send out too many Pokemon. Given that it running away has a good chance of either alerting the threats ahead or running you over, it is best that you only send out one Pokemon to face this Chansey.

[REF NOTE] Initiate Rare Encounter with Chansey. Arena: Tower Landing. After the encounter, use the post-encounter text provided for that RP, but replace Pokemon names accordingly.

Lackeys:
Withering Base:

At the very beginning of Heaven's Ascent, the three trials the trainer has endured to reach it are recounted. The stones used to open the door glow and 3 Pokemon run from each dungeon to halt the trainer's progress. They move into a strange circular room at the base of the tower. a large staircase leads upward but it appears you'll have to fight the three Pokemon. Though the room is circular, a triangular pattern is etched into it. Above the entrance lies a Light Blue Orb, and on either side of the staircase lie a Dull Brown and Dark Grey Orb. Their purpose does not appear immediately clear, but you know this can't be the end of your trials.

Arena Rules:

When Sandstorm is used by a Rock-type, during the resulting Sandstorm Rock-types will take 4 less damage from special attacks. Sandstorm will also be increased to 4 Damage per action, and will strike Ground and Steel types. Pokemon with Ice Body and Clear Body will be unaffected by the sand.

When Sunny Day is used by a Rock-type, the arena lights up and creates little balls of flame that deal 3 Damage per action to plus/minus 1 Damage per action for Fire weakness/resistance to non-Fire types. Pokemon with Sturdy, Ice Body, and Clear Body are unaffected.

When Hail is used by an Ice-type, during the resulting Hail Pokemon with Ice Body will heal 4 HP per action. Hail will also be increased to 4 Damage per action. Pokemon with Sturdy and Clear Body will be unaffected by the Hail.

When Rain Dance is used by an Ice type, the arena lights up and the arena is filled with fast moving bubbles that barrage opponents constantly, doing 3 Damage per action plus/minus 1 Damage per action for Water weakness/resistance to non-Water types. Pokemon with Sturdy, Ice Body, and Clear Body are unaffected.

When Sandstorm is used by a Steel-type, the Sandstorm is converted into Shrapnel. Shrapnel does 3 Damage per action plus/minus 1 Damage per action for Steel weakness/resistance to non-Steel types. In this arena, Shrapnel will not affect Pokemon with Sturdy and Ice Body, and will increase the Base Accuracy of all moves used by a Steel-type by ten (10). During Shrapnel, Weather Ball is Steel-typed.

No Weather Allowed.

Others:
Kangaskhan and Ambipom Horde
The Meadow Nest is a massive area full of grass, trees, and other natural trappings. It seems to thrive by being something of a natural greenhouse.

Effects:
None

Staraptor and Fearow Horde
The Sky Nest is a massive area with a large path heading steadily upwards, platforms accessible by bridges, and bottomless pits everywhere else. Hope you do not slip and fall.

Effects:
None

Landings (Wigglytuff, Chansey and Exploud)
The Tower Landings are fairly innocuous places, they are simply wide open areas filled with hidden nooks and crannies. The area is big enough that you can find just about anything you need for an attack.

Effects:
None

Sawsbuck:
Much like the Meadow Nest, the Dam Spring is a wide open area filled with trees and grass. Unlike that place however, there is a large stream heading from one end to the other.

Effects:
None

Braviary
The Eagle Landing is a large area open to the air, and with the mountains in plain view. There are a few holes in the tower that facilitate bird nests, with a few ladders heading up to them. There are not any guard rails though, so be careful!

Effects:
None

Girafarig
Despite being part of the Meadow Path, there is not very much foliage. This hallway is rather plain, and would be little more than a footnote in your journey except for the guardian blocking your path. External grass is provided by some potted plants hanging from the ceiling, though how they are taken care of is a mystery.

Effects:
None

Castform
This is a rotunda like room, with arches hanging above you in a decorative pattern. The view is limited, as you can only see blue sky and clouds this high up. This particular arena also seems to boost weather moves, unlike most of the tower.

Special Arena:
Castform becomes Rock-type in Sandstorm Weather. All Weather is allowed.
