Rules:
3v3 Singles (Challenger brings 3, Leader brings 4)
2 day DQ
2 Recoveries / 5 Chills
3 Substitutions
1 Mega Evolution
Items: ON
Switch: OK
Abilities: ALL
Arena: Fairy Gym Arena
The ASB TournamentFairy-type Gym Arena

Surrounded by thousands of screaming Pokemon fansFairy-type Pokemon, the ASBFairy-type Gym Arena can be best described as a standard Pokemon battling arena. In the center of the arena lies a dirt-based floor outlined to show two separate sides (with a white Pokeball center). Surrounding the dirt is a moat filled with water. The moat is about fifteen feet wide and creates a perimeter around the dirt arena. The arena itself is eighty feet wide, one hundred feet long. All moves, weathers, and abilities are legal for the match, since it's an outdoor arena with a large water source and packed dirt. Pokemon must stay in the arena (or the dimensions of the arena in the case of Flying Pokemon, who cannot leave the arena and cannot fly higher than sixty feet). This prevents Pokemon from injuring the crowd watching the tournament. There are ALMOST no outside interruptions by fans, Pokemon, or other elements not associated with the current battle. However, the Fairy spectators are impatient and want to see a match. If a trainer hesitates excessively during the battle (read: goes over DQ), they will swarm and attack.

Summary:
- Standard rules
- If you go over DQ (however slightly), the fairies will brutally muder you [Note: if you post in LOA, or give a not-shitty reason AHEAD OF TIME, I won't DQ you]

From this team pay special attention to whoever IAR uses as mega. Wait...I can't say that? fine. Pay Special Attention to Iron Chain the Steelix. Steelix is probably the pokemon most often used by IAR, and he knows the ins and outs of it like few. Big weight + Heavy Slam makes short work of most if not all of Emma's mons and Ground Typing and huge defense lets it handle the two not crushed by Heavy Slam well enough.

Round 1!

And we are on!

The Leader starts this battle with his trusted Mr. Mime. A Mr. Mime ordering last is a terrifying scenario, although the same can be said about... all of the leader's team. The leader counters with his Scizor, wearing the shiny new Focus Band.

But even with the Focus Band, Mr. Mime managed to outdamage the metal bug, to no little part due to how awesome barrier is. Screw 90hp, Mime is a bulky motherfucker with those decent defenses and silly Filter. I mean c'mon.

Still, the challenger's orders were very conservative, due to ordering first, so you can be certain that that isn't the full offensive potential of the meta bug. Hopefully we should be able to see some real power from the challenger's side soon enough. Right now, though, the Leader is...uh...leading.

Round 2!

The challenger uses the recently-boosted Focus Band to pull out an interesting strategy. He Knocked off Scope Lens and, relying on no crits A3, went on with full offense, hoping to take down a large piece of Togekiss while Scizor goes to near-KO state on a flash of glory or something corny like that.

Except that this is togekiss <_<;.

No, incinerate didn't Crit A3. But Flamethrower burned A2 and the weak Scizor became the KO'd Scizor, while Togekiss managed to avoid 9hp of damage that could be useful later on. Whoa Deja vu <_<;.

I am guessing that an alive scizor would be more useful to the challenger in the long run, but if you see the current HLM you will notice that it isn't necessarly the case. So I can't really say if it was better or worse to see Scizor bite the dust one turn earlier. I know, though, the pokemon that will come to replace it.

Round 3!

Ah, the old trick of putting your status move in a damaging move. It was used a couple times in the past, but it is still unexpected.

With that, the leader manages to survive the round in the most conservative way, without using Endure or burning too much energy. And now he is on that wonderful position of having hax in your favor. I predicted a very frustrating round for the challenger in Round 4.

I feel ya <_<;.
