After a butt load of switching and tons of Spikes passive damage (36 damage total), Rainman ended up with Kefka on the field, while IAR brought out Predator, the Archeops.


Starting the match with a Will-O-Wisp to lower Archeops' damage output, the Archeops Quickly forms a barrier that, for some reason, only Guards against Priority Moves, cancelling the attack and getting the Flying type a small, personal victory.

Deciding this wasnt enough, however, the Archeops Bounces incredibly high despite having wings, evading Sableye's punch that would surely Knock his Enigma Berry Off and managing to deal considerable damage soon after, while also scoring a nice Paralysis! Good thing Arch is made of rock, eh?

Finally, showing his true colors, Predator reveals his evilness and Roars his enemy away, but gets hit by a Payback in the process. ''WORTH!'', the Flying/Rock type could be heard screaming as Sableye was forced back into his pokeballs, Spikes ready to do their job once again.

One layer of spikes was removed!

Reasoning: Although it was a hard decision, since Spikes burrow themselves into the ground, i was going to allow Whirlwind to remove Spikes entirely. However, they were laid by Fidgit.
Although Persistent doesnt have a real effect on Spikes (Since they are always perma), the ability, plus Fidgit's natural affinity to this kind of move (Hello Prankster) makes me believe that Fidgit's Spikes would be more resilient/burrowed into the ground than other pokemon's, to the point that removing them becomes significantly harder if the user isnt using a move specifically made to get rid of hazards.

tl;dr: Fidgit's Spikes are better than other mons.
