And Engineer makes a very interesting call by not bringing his legendary for this match! While IAR is sufficiently prepared for Jirachi, it still would be able to take on Zygarde and Krillowatt (Sableye is Sableye so you can never be sure about that thing :< )

Anyways, let's see who gets the sendout!

Paralysis to 15%

Welcome one and all to one of the most highly-anticipated games of this round: Engineer Pikachu vs. Its_A_Random! Both of these trainers have proved themselves time and time again to be some of the best players in ASB! It looks like most people seem to believe that IAR will win this match, but when there are a number of people who didn't vote at all and IAR himself voted against, it's tough to say there's a crowd favorite!

After a little bit of thinking, the two battlers send out their first mons: Krillowatt from IAR and Gengar from Engi. Neither Pokemon has a huge advantage here- Krillowatt has the advantage of its massive 125 HP and amazing abilities in Magic Guard and Shell Armor, but Gengar has the advantage of its incredible movepool, which quite a few tricks and treats to even the score- especially Pain Split!

Gengar starts the round by jumping at Krillowatt and Knocking Off its Life Orb, severely lowering its damage output despite not dealing as much damage itself. Krillowatt responds with a nasty Discharge of electricity that deals a good amount of damage and- oh, what's this? It appears that Gengar is paralyzed! This is big people- Krillowatt now has the higher speed, not even mentioning the chance of full paralysis!

Satisfied with its minor victory there, Krillowatt fires off a violent Hydro Pump that strikes Gengar for a decent amount of damage, but it's not enough to put the Gengar down and start discouraging it! Instead, it fires off a Shadow Ball, and it looks like it really got to Krillowatt- it's Special Defense was lowered! This may not be that huge, but it certainly makes it a little better for Gengar!

The round ends with another flurry of attacks- Krillowatt fires off another Discharge and Gengar throws a Sludge Bomb Krillowatt's way. As the round ends, things are looking quite good for Its_A_Random, as Krill's ginormous HP means it's way ahead in terms of HP and that paralysis is going to make Pain Split much harder to pull off for Engi. However, he is still ordering second with a Gengar, so don't count out some trickery allowing Engi to turn the tables!

Wanting to keep up the momentum that he gained from the last round, IAR orders Krillowatt to fire off another Hydro Pump, but he's still feeling the full effects of the Knock Off, as it continues to only make a small dent in Gengar without the Life Orb boost! In a somewhat risky bid, Gengar begins to Rest in the middleof this heated battle, getting rid of that pesky paralysis as well as recovering almost all the damage dealt by the Hydro Pump! The play looks like it's paying off very well, and IAR is now in a bit of a bind!

Not pulling any tricks, Krillowatt summons up a huge wave and swamps Gengar with a Surf, but it doesn't seem to perturb Gengar at all, and she just keeps on snoozing! Gengar starts mumbling with a Sleep Talk and a second later starts creating a Shadow Ball with its eyes closed, aiming it perfectly and dealing even more damage than the Hydro Pump did!

Now with an increased amount of tension in the air, Krillowatt fires off a third Hydro Pump, but it once again doesn't stop the Gengar from throwing out yet another Shadow Ball while dreaming! Of course, this is putting a noticeable strain on Gengar- it looks like it's starting to run low on energy and is going to have to Chill soon! Meanwhile, the HP scores are about even, truly making this anyone's game, but with Engineer ordering first, can he keep it up or will IAR sneak something and undermine the success of this round?!

Effed up last round and made Krill go first after Gengar got rid of para, not that it makes any tangible difference
Also, Payback has 0 priority so uuuuhhh

Krillowatt fainted!

And as IAR charges valiantly forward with his plan, it doesn't work. At. All. Gengar simple keeps on attacking with a Sludge Bomb while Krillowatt prepares for a massive attack with a Mind Reader! The audience is excited, as it looks like a wicked combo is coming soon! Gengar then regains a little HP with a Giga Drain and the audience leans in only to get a little confused by Krillowatt's actions as it releases a Sheer Cold! Was IAR to do a massive Sheer Cold + Sheer Cold combo it would have been a double down and even the score, but the regular Sheer Cold did slightly less damage than Krillowatt has been doing by just spamming his STAB moves!

As IAR launches his second gambit, the audience is confused again. Krillowatt gathers all of its ill feelings towards Gengar and strikes it with a massive Payback combo, but Krillowatt just couldn't get the full extent of his animosity out, and it only does a moderate amount of damage, only slightly more than a Hydro Pump, while leaving himself completely open! After almost completely negating the damage with a bite of his Enigma Berry, Gengar simply returns the damage and more with a Counter, sending Krillowatt flying back! It looks like Krillowatt is knocked out!!

Things aren't looking so good for IAR now- his plan to come out ahead backfired 100%, despite the fact that Gengar isn't able to Endure in the next round, it's not exactly going to be easy pickings...

Sheer Cold + Sheer Cold would not have KOed nerdo.

IF Giga Drain is used, THEN use Protect that action, pushing actions back.
IF Knock Off is used, THEN use Sucker Punch that action, pushing actions back.

Yeah well with Sheer Cold + Sheer Cold you'd have a Gengr at 2 HP not 26 so you're the nerdo
Also why'd you even sub for Giga Drain he uses it and dies and it only does 11 DMG @_@

Giga Drain -> Sableye (12 EN)
(8+(5-3)1.5) = 11 DMG = 4.4 EN

And as Krilowatt falls, IAR sends in one of the biggest bastards in all of ASB, Sableye! And it looks like IAR is going in without a Mega, opting for Everstone Sableye's higher attacking prowess than Mega Sableye's Magic Bounce- let's see how this pans out for him! Sableye starts off with a Taunt, jeering at Gengar and royally pissing him off! With such little energy left, this is definitely going to be the end of Gengar, but Engi doesn't seem to worried! Looks like he's got a plan! Instead of opting for a more damaging attack, Gengar throws a Night Shade Sableye's way, not doing much damage but definitely allowing Gengar to live for a few more actions!

The two Ghosts simultaneously look like they're not going to attack, oddly enough, but looks like the two we're just pulling the same ploy! Both of them launch a Sucker Punch at the other, but Gengar is in and out, smacking Sableye in the face and hopping away far before Sableye is able to even extend his fist all the way! While Sableye may have been the only one taking damage, it looks like Gengar is facing its last action- one more move and it will fall over even if its a Lick!

Seeing Gengar prepare a Giga Drain, Sableye quickly Protects himself and the draining energy harmlessly bounces off the barrier, but it looks like it drained a little bit of energy. Flashing that grin even wider then before, Gengar falls down, KO'd! However, things are really looking bad for IAR. In that last round Gengar was able to sap a quarter of Sableye's precious energy, and it's gonna have to get through a Conkeldurr to prevent Zygarde from being ripped apart by Mega Gardevoir! If IAR wants to win this, he's really gonna have to stop misplaying!

Draining Kiss -> Sableye (6 EN)
RNG roll (to crit) 3891 = no crit
(5+3+1+(6-3)1.5)(1.5) = 20.25 (11.75) DMG = 8.8125 recovered
Sableye fainted!

And Gardevoir continues the massive damage race by getting its sexy on- planting a Draining Kiss on Sableye's cheek which somehow dealt not only an impressive amount of damage, but as Gardevoir wipes her lips off, she looks quite a bit healthier, making the even score in HP from the end of the last round into a giant spread in favor of Gardevoir! However, Sableye is going to have none of that, slashing Gardevoir with a Shadow Claw right across the face, dealing an impressive amount of damage once again, but not exactly enough to make it safe for the Sableye!

In an attempt to avoid some damage, Gardevoir Teleports all over the place in rapid succession in order to avoid Sableye's oncoming attacks, but seeing this, Sableye just sits back and Chills, regaining some much needed energy!

However, Sableye immediately sees that the energy it gained back actually wasn't all that needed, as it desperately fires off a Shadow Sneak to deal as much damage as possible before Gardevoir seals the deal with another Draining Kiss, knocking Sableye out! It's basically all downhill for IAR now, with Gardevoir likely to get at least one more hit on Zygarde before falling, and then there's Conkeldurr...

The round goes, well, pretty much as badly as expected. Zygarde starts out strong with a mighty Earthquake that does respectable damage, only to be completely outdone by Conk's Ice Punch! Zygarde's Weakness Policy activates, but it doesn't seem to want to capitalize on that at all, narrowing the gap in HP with two Pain Splits only to have the gap torn wide open again by more Ice Punches a short second later. Makes you almost wonder why IAR even bothered to equip Weakness Policy... anyways, looks like the rest of this match is really just a formality.

TIME TO ABUSE WEAKNESS POLICY RAAAAAH

Extreme Speed + Extreme Speed combo > N/A (Chill) > Extreme Speed + Extreme Speed combo
IF
(Protective Move) is used successfully, THEN use Camouflage on the first instance, pushing actions back.
