Surrounded by thousands of screaming Pokemon fansFairy-type Pokemon, the ASBFairy-type Gym Arena can be best described as a standard Pokemon battling arena. In the center of the arena lies a dirt-based floor outlined to show two separate sides (with a white Pokeball center). Surrounding the dirt is a moat filled with water. The moat is about fifteen feet wide and creates a perimeter around the dirt arena. The arena itself is eighty feet wide, one hundred feet long. All moves, weathers, and abilities are legal for the match, since it's an outdoor arena with a large water source and packed dirt. Pokemon must stay in the arena (or the dimensions of the arena in the case of Flying Pokemon, who cannot leave the arena and cannot fly higher than sixty feet). This prevents Pokemon from injuring the crowd watching the tournament. There are ALMOST no outside interruptions by fans, Pokemon, or other elements not associated with the current battle. However, the Fairy spectators are impatient and want to see a match. If a trainer hesitates excessively during the battle (read: goes over DQ), they will swarm and attack.

So IAR takes another run at the Faity Gym, fully prepared for whatever Togekiss might bring. So of course EM brings no Togekiss. I guess the somewhat strange choice of Electrode still works well against Azumarill and might just pave the way for Tormeldon to not just get murdered by the rabbit.

Bronzong is basically the bane of this Fairy Gym but Mr. Mime is the most annoying thing ever in the world both inside and outside of this Gym, so I doubt EM is worried. Indeed Bariyaado is able to avoid all but one hit from Meklord and without even using a whole lot of energy. Even the one hit he did have to take proved just how much of a bulky mofo this little clowny thing is. EM is now free to bring in whatever he desires to best counter the bell, but the best it looks he can manage is a neutral match up. At least the defence pass might help a little. Of course IAR would never be silly enough not to sub for Barrier and a critically hitting Flash Cannon could be important damage on Mime as this match wears on.

Also luckily the angry faries didn't attack the referee given I forgot about this yesterday.

Seriously guys, I get it. Momentum and match ups are important. But at what point does it just get a little silly to let your Pokemon do nothing to engineer the match up only for the next person to then spend the next round stalling it anyway. Anyway Bronzong takes a turn to deal no damage (as opposed to Mime's 1 last round) and pave the way for Electrode to come in. Or you know IAR could just send out Camerupt and make this interesting. I double dare ya.

The leader used healthy amounts of sub abuse to assure a double KO. While that doesn't seem much in terms of statistics, that is huge for the leader. That way he will decide the next matchup and can avoid the dreaded Electrode vs Azumaril matchup. While the same can't be said about the challenger and the dreaded azumarill vs camerupt matchup.

It seems that the Mr. Mime vs Electrode matchup is the most probable one, which is good for the leader. Either party may throw a curveball, but I wouldn't bet money on it.

Long story short: the ball is on the leader's park. Let's see how he will return it.
