NOC a nice basic game of actual mafia - game over - won by the Mafia

Didn't see this post, thanks

I still don't like it but I'm not as confident about your scum alignment as before.

Peace GL with deadline fam. Hope I helped before I left

Really? It would make no sense for two members of the mafia team to act stupid together. Also, while it isn't common for mafia to throw other mafia under the bus to keep themselves safe, I called out sandshrewz and pressured him very hard for answers. His frustration is fairly evident in his posts.
I have a hard time believing there are only a few set tactics that people use to win this game. Maybe I'm getting something wrong, but I came into this game with the assumption that people will do literally anything they can to win. Still, I acknowledge that Sandshrewz fuck-ups outweigh yours.

If you want to know why people use set strategies, look at me. The amount of people who think I am scum because I play differently is to damn high. The moral, play normal or be suspected of being scum, even if your town.

Dude you keep saying people think you're scum because you think differently which is not even true(I've seen no one say that). Like Twin literally said "You're scum because your reasoning is very forced and the thing with empoof sacrificing himself sounds like you just want to say next day look guys I'm so town cause I read empoof as town and refusing to commit to a scum read is scummy also"

All right, it's final.

Vote Sandshrewz[/]

Literally everything Sandshrewz did stoked me as odd. From claiming they don't know how to play day 1, to lurking but never posting until they're called out, to the spreadsheet, to having no opinions on anyone even after 10 pages, to saying they should unwatch the thread, to claiming that aforementioned statement was a joke only after being called out on it, to constantly reiterating that they're a noob and bad at this game, to the near hysteria in their posts with Whydon, to their lack of vote and reasoning for it... Yeah, I have no illusions anymore.

Maybe I am slightly over the top. I was referring to the suspicion thrown upon me because I don't like d1 lynches among one or two other things I half remember seeing earlier. Anyway, see you guys after deadline (I hope. Docs, make sure you guard the right person and keep us all alive)

The elderly man sat back in his recliner, sighing. Angry yells drifted in through the walls of the ramshackle house, but they elicited no reaction from him. So they had finally come for him. Good. Let them.

Outside, the assembled mob grew restless. The once-black night sky burned a bright orange with the light of a hundred torches, but the citizens of the town craved red.

The police cordon near the front porch was doing what it could to stem the tide, but it was clear that they could only hold out for so much longer. Closer to the house, the chief of police spoke angrily into his cell phone.

"Look, I KNOW we need a warrant, but if we don't do SOMETHING, we're going to have a riot on our hands! Looting, vandalism... hell, it already looks like something out of the Salem goddamn Witch Trials!"

He paused, then relaxed. Whatever the person on the other end had said, it was what he wanted to hear.

"Of course. Trust me, nobody's going to care about a little bit of indiscretion if it leads to these scum being dealt with."

He snapped the phone shut, then motioned to a nearby sergeant, who hurried over.

"Keep them back a few more minutes. That's all I need." "Of course, chief."

Turning back towards the house, the chief examined it carefully. The once-proud cottage had fallen into a state of disrepair lately, but you could still see bits of the original white finish clinging to the half-rotted wood. The porch, once perfect for enjoying a cold glass of lemonade and a summer sunset, now sagged sadly to one side.

Gingerly, afraid of knocking it over, he rapped on the door.

"It's unlocked," came the wheezy reply. Tentatively, the chief entered.

The room inside was sparse. In one corner, a dusty sofa, the fabric ripped here and there. In the other, a small TV, a relic of an older generation. The screen was lit up with static. Along the side wall, a well-worn recliner, and in that recliner, a well-worn face.

"They think I did it." It wasn't a question.

"The evidence lines up, and you've got the expertise to do it without getting caught."

"Forty years practicing law and they think I'd circumvent it. The irony is... staggering."

He paused, directing his gaze towards the chief. He seemed to look not at him, but right through him.

"Very well. Do what you must."

The chief was slightly taken aback by this.

"That's it? No... defense? No alibi? Nothing?"

The man chuckled, if you could call his wheezing fit that.

"You think they'd listen? I can hear them now. There's only one thing that will satisfy them."

The chief took one last long look at the man, then nodded.

"If this is what you think is right."

"I do. I have no regrets."

Slowly, the chief turned around to exit the cottage. As he passed through the doorway, he thought he heard one last quiet statement.

"And I'll get to be with her again."

The chief walked over to the sergeant from earlier and whispered something into his ear. Stone-faced, the sergeant walked out into the yard.

"Let them through."

The man's death was swift. In his home they found nothing but memories.

Empoof was lynched. He was Vanilla Town.
Deadline for Night 1 is 9/13 at 10:30 PM CDT. If I receive all actions I will update early. Remember, posting is not permitted during the night.

Blazade is replacing OM room.

He wasn't the type to stay awake worrying about the state of the world, but the usual seven minutes passed and, instead of passing into a blissful oblivion, he was face-to-face with his conscience.

It was a weird feeling, something he took for a more commonplace bout of indigestion, or maybe even early onset arthritis. But the orange glimmers in his eyes persisted, pricking at the corners of the darkness whenever he reached for sleep.

He had been raised with the following doctrine: people make mistakes. At some point, that had transformed itself into more of a rationalisation than anything; he had forgotten to forgive. He shuddered, imagining that same lack of humanity turned on himself, a zealous and eager flame reflected in the eyes of people that loved to judge even in ordinary times. Who got to be a person anymore? The amber afterglow of earlier's hysteria was still flickering in the distance.

Pacing anxiously, he turned his bedroom light on. No sleep tonight, he predicted.

Strange, to realise you're not the main character. Humbling, to realise your youth is not immortality. Terrifying, to realise you could be next. This happened in the span of a heartbeat; Jalmont's final breath caught sharp in his throat when he saw the second shadow on the floor, patiently looming.

There was no chance to protest his innocence.

Jalmont was killed. He was Vanilla Town.
Day 2 ends 9/16 at 10:30 PM CDT.
