His friends were dying like flies. Probably the worst thing of all was that they weren't dying as friends; they were dying with distrust in their hearts, suspicion in their eyes. Their last memory was not of the happy years they had spent together spying on each other and gossipping behind each other's backs, it was wondering just who among their ambiguously related cousins and jilted childhood sweethearts was about to kill them. It was wondering if they needed to take out life insurance, if the placement in the local graveyard was socially acceptable anymore. It was of terror.

'When will it stop? Somebody, please make it stop,' he wailed, rocking back and forth.

They'd gotten that arsonist from way back, the one they all thought that old man made up for attention. That was good. Maybe now they could call it a done thing? He thought about calling everyone up on the spot and calling a truce. What if he made it stop? A ceasefire, so to speak. Being a peacemaker, now that'd be something to be proud of. He was the first to admit he was way too ordinary. A bit powerless. Easily tricked. Caught up in the heat of the moment. It had to stop. This was a quiet place, once, ruled by the chief of police and the fear of your neighbours' scrutiny.

The truth is, he was too scared to see it through. He just wanted things to go back to how they were, when his white picket fence wasn't being used for kindling. They could look on the bright side. Some of the brightest flowers needed fire to bloom, needed the intense heat to breathe, would only erupt out of their seeds when the other alternative was to suffocate. He could be that flower. He liked the sound of that. Maybe he could write a novel when all this was over. Yes, there were so many things he could do, if they'd all just stop killing each other.

'If someone comes to kill me,' he decided, 'I'll tell them this. I'll persuade them to stop. We'll call an armistice. The police are honour-bound, yes, an eye for an eye, that's fair and right. But it's human nature, nobody's insane enough to kill for no reason, if they've got nothing to lose it's different.'

The coroners concluded that Blazade was, if he had any virtues, a brave man; he'd turned and faced his killer, and died open-mouthed, hands outstretched like a preacher, maybe even blessed enough not to notice he was being murdered.

Blazade was killed. He was vanilla town.
Day 4 ends 9/22 at 8 PM CDT.

Yeah, after Sandshrew flipping town and my whydon/sandshrew for mafia theory went wrong, I'm starting to come around that Whydon is probably town.
My question to everyone though, how many mafia jumped onto that lynch do you think? And if they did, was it earlier on or a later bandwagon?

I missed yesterday because I was never tagged and I forgot I was playing this game. Whydon just seems like extreme fillering tbh.

also aubisio is super fillery

sorry for like quadruple post but can someone explain the haruno scumread because I missed where everyone started calling him scum, it kind of just happened

Thetwinmasters Could you answer my earlier question? In particular, do you think DLE leading the lynch yesterday clears them as town?

My current thoughts on people
Aubisio - Clearly wanted hammer to come down earlier yesterday, in concurrence with what others have said probably mafia.
DLE - Not sure, initially I thought they were strong town and personally I think them leading the lynch yesterday does help, that said there's a small doubt in my mind that they intentionally took advantage of that to seem town, overall probably town.
pancake - Holy substitutes, not sure.
Haruno - I think twin's logic on this is pretty good, not really sure otherwise.
shubaka - Ultimately probably town, them 'sheeping' tropius feels genuine and I doubt they were intending to make it 1 vote away from hammer. That said, if DLE is mafia so is shubaka probably
Oddish - Probably town. Or a good mafia, I haven't been paying enough attention to them to tell.
twin - If haruno is guilty, strongly likely they are town. Otherwise probably is town.
Whydon - Honestly didn't believe them for awhile, but with sand flipping town and just personal reflection on how non aggressive they've been in terms of countering the claims, I'm not leaning towards down.

Ultimately I suppose my mafia is: Haruno, Aubisio and pancake/dle/oddish

Former Hope twin's mostly right d3 shouldn't matter for your read on me. anyone could lead a lynch on a largely outed mafia.

The main thing that matters about d3 is that instead of letting tropius claim cop, mafia just killed king. That makes me think the mafia are newer players because they could have won in a mislynch between king and tropius, especially with blazade and i both buying tropius' cop soft.

Thetwinmasters what do you think about the king night kill on n2? do you agree or disagree with me? why?

shubaka17 is there anything that happened on d3 that changed your mind on anyone?
