[OVERVIEW]

  • Aegislash has a great typing in Steel and Ghost, as well as its great Defense and Special Defense stats makes it able to check all -ate users, who dominates the tier.
  • It can stop set up thanks to resisting common priority moves and can inverse stat with Topsy-turvy when using Prankster as ability.
  • It also acts as a great entry hazard control Pokemon since it resists Stealth Rock and is immune to Toxic Spikes.
  • However, Aegislash faces competition from Registeel, as they serve similar purposes, but Registeel has more bulk.
  • It is also weak to common move types such as Ground and Fire, and therefore needs to be switched out of them in most scenarios.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
===============

  • Recover is used to ensure longevity of Aegislash, making it a very durable Pokemon and hard to take down.
  • Defog is used to clear entry hazards; notably Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock, that are common in the metagame.
  • U-Turn is used to break Focus Sash, and let Aegislash have a slow switch-out, so it gives a safe switch into its teammates.
  • Parting Shot can be used for a fast switch-out that reduces the target's offensive prowess, making setup more difficult for them.
  • Topsy-turvy can be used to punish a Pokemon from setting up by inverting their stats.
  • Destiny Bond can be used to take down an offensive threat as well, which gets +1 priority because of Prankster.
Set Details
============

  • The EV spread gives Aegislash maximum Special Defense, which makes it able to check Boomburst powered by -ate as well as Quiver Dancers easily.
  • An alternative spread of 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD could be run with Impish Nature to check priority Fake Out and Extremespeed, which are also powered by -ate easily.
  • Safety Goggles prevent powder moves like Spore, so it cannot be crippled by being asleep.
  • Prankster gives +1 priority to all its moves; Defog, Recover, Parting Shot, Destiny Bond and Topsy Turvy; making this Pokemon hard to take down.
Usage Tips
================

  • Keep Aegislash healthy to a point where you really need it: stopping setups or removing entry hazards.
  • If Aegislash has Parting Shot, it is good to scout your foe with it, and switching to a Pokemon that can beat it.
  • Aegislash should be used to check -ate users, and Parting Shot out when it's going to hit Aegislash with a coverage move.
Team Options
=================

  • Kyogre, Hoopa-unbound, and Mega Gengar can gain advantage of the foe after Aegislash used Topsy-turvy, and can attempt to set up on the weakened foe.
  • Mega Mewotwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y can deal with the Fire- and Ground-types that threaten Aegislash, while Aegislash can take care of Flying- and Bug-type, as well as -ate moves for them.
Other Options
================

  • Spore can be used to put the foe to sleep, giving a setup fodder to Aegislash's teammates.
  • King's Shield can be used to scout for the foe's attacks, while punishing the foe if they touch Aegislash.
  • Magic Bounce can be used to fend off entry hazards, status ailments, Parting Shot which aids the team.
Checks and Counters
===============

**Ground- and Fire-type users**: Mega Mewtwo-X and Mega Mewtwo-Y have Ground- and Fire-type moves that threaten Aegislash.

**Magic Bounce**: Magic Bounce users such as Giratina and Registeel bounce back the moves of Aegislash, rendering them useless.

**Substitute**: Substitute can block the moves of Aegislash, notable users include Hoopa-unbound and Mega Gengar, and so, they can beat Aegislash if it doesn't carry Destiny Bond.

This is a good attempt, but I think it is missing some vital information which include but is not limited to:
  • Flash Fire as another option/standalone set
  • Magic Bounce is relegated to OO instead of being its own set, which I think it deserves to be so
  • Detailed analysis of why it should be used if Registeel is bulkier overall (typing advantage, better mixed walling)
  • Mewtwos are not Ground/Fire absorbers
  • Alternative EV spreads
I'm afraid I'm going to have to reject this QC because it will take more effort for me to describe exactly what is lacking than the original post. Sorry bud.
Reject 1/2
