Bastiodon was one of my favourite Pokemon whenever DP came out and before I really knew how competitive battling worked. One thing I quickly learned about it was that its VERY hard to find a set that works for Bastiodon that isn't outclassed by something else. The sturdy buff was a nice addition.
Meh, it could work as an unorthodox special sponge/wall if you max HP and SpD and team it with Gliscor. Blissey may have HP up to its ass but Bastiodon actually resists stuff.
