Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Thats why the team has 1 not even reliable grass resist and 0 hazard control.............................. Anyway if i have to vote honestly id vote melo+garb
Sneasel @ Choice Band
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Icicle Crash
- Pursuit
- Ice Shard
Xatu annoys this team by bouncing back the webs and dealing with Rhydon and Toxicroak with Grass Knot and Psyshock respectively. The team doest really have a good Sneasel switchin and Sneasel takes care of Sceptile, Mismagius and Meloetta.
Virizion @ Psychium Z
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Leaf Blade
- Zen Headbutt
+2 252 Atk Virizion Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Meloetta: 376-444 (110.2 - 130.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 Atk Virizion Leaf Blade vs. 0 HP / 8 Def Mismagius: 340-402 (130.2 - 154%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 Atk Virizion Leaf Blade vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 520-616 (148.1 - 175.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 Atk Virizion Zen Headbutt vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Toxicroak: 768-904 (250.1 - 294.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 Atk Virizion Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Sceptile: 430-507 (153 - 180.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Sceptile Hidden Power Ice vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Virizion: 136-162 (42.1 - 50.1%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO
not much to say, it can setup on good half the team, including shuckle who will need to outplay it since z moves cant get encored, and sacrifice a hazard
adding
, since necesary, only reason is bcz it soft checks sceptile and mismagius and defogs, but otherwise i dont think it contributes to breaking this team :/
Slowbro @ Psychium Z
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Magic Coat
- Trick Room
- Surf
- Psyshock
Machamp @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Close Combat
- Facade
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
This team seems weak to trick room bombardment. Also, weak to anything with sufficient Grass/Water + Psychic/Flying coverage. But I'm trying again, this time being more creative, in the hopes of getting any votes lol.
Slowbro can use Magic Coat to counter-troll Shuckle. Surf hurts most of the team, and what resists it will not enjoy Shattered Psyche (Sceptile) or even a plain old Psyshock (Toxicroak).
I was going use CM Slowbro initially, but then realised it would be vulnerable to Shuckle's Encore. So, Machamp is a good teammate to make use of the TR (it's slower than Rhydon) and can OHKO every member of the team with the right move.
With Slowbro's Regenerator, it would not be difficult to switch into it and set up Trick Room again if somehow the game isn't won by the first TR (hypothetically).
Lanturn @ Assault Vest
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 SpA / 136 SpD / 120 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Volt Switch
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Grass]
With Samurott as the teams sole Fire-type resist, Scarf Delphox can clean up very effectively while also outspeeding Scarf Hitmonlee, Lanturn can pivot into Samurott, and either KO it with Volt Switch, or gain momentum and bring Delphox back in. Lanturn also weakens Probopass, giving Delphox an easier time in breaking it down.
Horribly weak to virizion as it can setup on rotom, ohko scyther and probopass and deal with samurott, while it can only be checked by sneasel. And Hitmonlee is hard checked by garbodor, which provides spikes
This team's only fire resist is samurott which after a spike gets nuked by dragon pulse. I'm white herb on the turtonator so scarf hitmonlee doesn't revenge me. Qwilfish can get off chip vs probo with 1 scald and after a spike probo's guaranteed to die vs +2 fire blast which turt can spam incredibly freely vs him. Turt can also safely setup on scyther and rotom which as they are his volt-turn core might be in quite a bit. Qwifish's intimidate also helps turt set up shell smash more freely.
Sets:
Turtonator @ White Herb
Ability: Shell Armor
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shell Smash
- Fire Blast
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Pulse
Qwilfish @ Black Sludge
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Spikes
- Taunt
- Scald
- Toxic Spikes
Vikavolt @ Electrium Z
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Agility
- Bug Buzz
- Thunderbolt
- Energy Ball
Persian-Alola @ Leftovers
Ability: Fur Coat
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Parting Shot
- Foul Play
- Taunt
- Toxic
Real thing here is agility vikavolt, as if it sets up anywhere, the team basically gets 6-0'd, especially with electrium-z to reduce knock off damage. Persian-A is here because a core has to be 2 mons, and cause it lures in, and weakens hitmonlee. Failing that, it lures in Probopass, which literally can't damage Vikavolt.
