Calm Mind boosts Grumpig's Special Attack and Special Defense, giving it an easier time breaking through bulkier Pokemon and making it harder to revenge kill with special attacks. Psyshock gives Grumpig the upper hand in Calm Mind wars versus the likes of Xatu and Mega Audino while also hitting specially bulky Pokemon such as Hariyama and Hitmonchan. Alternately, Psychic can be used to deal more immediate damage to physically bulky foes such as Samurott, Vileplume, and Weezing. Focus Blast crushes Steel-types such as Steelix and Ferroseed, as well as Dark-types such as Shiftry and Liepard. It also has other uses in targeting the likes of Rhydon, Regirock, and Abomasnow, as well as being Grumpig's strongest attack against Skuntank. Signal Beam hits opposing Psychic-types such as Malamar and Mesprit while doubling as a perfectly accurate attack with which to hit Dark-types.

Set Details
========

Maximum Special Attack investment and a Modest nature are used to hit as hard as possible. Maximum Speed investment allows Grumig to take advantage of its good Speed tier and outpace the likes of Garbodor and Samurott while tying with opposing base 80 Speed Pokemon. Thick Fat reduces the damage Grumpig takes from Fire- and Ice-type attacks. Leftovers provides passive recovery, though a Colbur Berry can be used to provide insurance versus Dark-type attacks, allowing Grumpig to take a Sucker Punch or Knock Off if it is healthy.

Usage Tips
========

Generally, you should use Grumpig's ability to force out the likes of Hitmonchan and Weezing to set up Calm Mind, but in some scenarios it may be more beneficial to attack, especially if your opponent has a Dark-type. Specifically, if your opponent has a Skuntank, setting up a Calm Mind is almost pointless, as Grumpig will just be trapped after KOing a Pokemon. Due to Grumpig's average Speed and low physical bulk, it will rarely pull off a full sweep; because of this, as well as its great coverage, it should be played as a mid-game breaker. While it cannot switch into Fire- and Ice-type attacks over and over, use Grumpig's resistances to them to give it opportunities to set up on the likes of Magmortar and Aurorus.

Team Options
========

Steelix checks powerful physical attackers that threaten Grumpig such as Kangaskhan, Tauros, and Scyther and can deal with Skuntank. Other checks to Dark-types such as Mega Audino and Primeape are also helpful. Late-game cleaners such as Sceptile and Tauros appreciate Grumpig's ability to break through defensive cores. Tauros specifically enjoys Grumpig breaking through bulky Rock- and Steel-types such as Rhydon and Steelix. Spikes support from the likes of Ferroseed and Garbodor helps Grumpig break the opponent's team even faster. Most notably, entry hazard support is useful to break Steelix's Sturdy. Ferroseed also appreciates Grumpig's handy Fire resistance, and Garbodor acts as a secondary and much more durable Fighting switch-in. Weezing acts as a more reliable Fighting switch-in and a flexible check for strong physical attackers, such as Rhydon, Kangaskhan, and Scyther.

  • cm ???
  • psyshock hits mag and yama mention how it helps in cm wars vs like audino
  • psychic hits garb and plume
  • focus blast hits steels like...
  • signal beam doesn't miss on darks and covers psychics
  • hp ground hits skunk
  • shadow ball hits xatu

Set Details
========

  • Max speed max spa
  • Thick Fat because Ice and Fire resists are important
  • Colbur helps against Skuntank trying to get you with Pursuit or Sucker and just Dark moves in general the primary reason to run colbur is to be a more reliable fighting check so that should at least be mentioned somewhere
  • Lefties gives important turn per turn recovery i would mention how without lefties pig is worn down really easy by hazards and repeated switchins so you become a less efficent check to things like mag

Usage Tips
========

  • don't set up cm if you're going to get pursuit trapped by a full health skuntank
  • grump can still threaten the opposing team without a boost because of its great neutral coverage
  • this set plays more like a wallbreaker so don't expect yourself to sweep
  • This set is purely offensive so it doesn't switch into a lot, even on resists. Use Grumpig's resists to set up, not to switch in. i would add a note how, in a pinch, pig can be used as a check to stuff like mag or special zard but it shouldnt be relied on as the sole check to these mons due to the offensive nature of this set

Team Options
========

  • mention what kind of teams would benefit from cm grumpig over other cm users or fire/ice checks, like mush or yama respectively
  • Steelix - covers Scyther and powerful physical attackers, such as Tauros and Archeops, while providing rocks. Also destroys skunk
  • Fast cleaners like Sceptile and Choice Scarf Sawk appreciate Grumpig breaking down the opposing team. Sawk also gives Dark-types, such as Shiftry, Liepard, and Skuntank, a lot of trouble
  • Spikes support from the likes of Ferroseed helps Grumpig break the opponent's team even faster. Ferroseed also appreciates Grumpig's handy fire resistance.
  • Weezing offers a more reliable Fighting resist, a good Malamar check for non-Signal Beam variants, and a flexible check for strong physical attackers, such as Rhydon, Kangaskhan, and Scyther. mention how tspikes can help wear down the opponents team to make grumpigs job of wallbreaking easier
love cm grumpig 1/3

Moves

Psychic hits Gurdurr harder which is a more relevant reason to use it imo.
Note that Signal Beam in addition to not missing vs Darks is mainly for Malamar.

Usage Tips

This is a bit nitpicky but I dont think the first thing you have listed should be the first one, its a really situational usage tip and the more general and broad stuff should be mentioned first.

Team Options

Mention that entry hazard support is useful to break Steelix's Sturdy so it can't emergency check Grumpig in a pinch (you know what I'm trying to say here).

QC 2/3

It's worth noting that Focus Blast is Grumpig's strongest attack to hit Skuntank with. In set details, mention that Thick Fat's resistances let Grumpig set up on the likes of Aurorus and Magmortar.

Other than those two small details, it looks fine 3/3

"as well as" makes what follows it less important, so only make the change regarding Focus Blast if hitting Darks is less important than hitting Steels (rather than roughly equally important)
