Overview
########

Mega Camerupt has great offensive and defensive power, which allows it to function as a powerful wallbreaker. It has a very useful ability in Sheer Force, which boosts any of Camerupt's attacks with a secondary effect, such as Fire Blast and Earth Power. Furthermore, it has a good STAB combination in Fire + Ground, which almost hits any type combinations for neutral damage. However, Camerupt does not have a very wide movepool. It also has a bad defensive typing that leaves Camerupt with a 4x weakness to common Water-type attacks. Mega Camerupt is also extremely slow for an offensive attacker, making Camerupt quite easy to revenge kill. It isn't very hard to wear down Mega Camerupt, as it lacks reliable recovery to stay healthy.

name: Wallbreaker
move 1: Fire Blast
move 2: Earth Power
move 3: Ancient Power
move 4: Hidden Power Grass / Will-O-Wisp
ability: Solid Rock --> Sheer Force
item: Cameruptite
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
nature: Modest

Moves
========

Fire Blast is a very powerful STAB attack, and its power is further boosted by Sheer Force. Earth Power is a secondary STAB attack with great coverage alongside Fire Blast and decent power, and is also boosted by Sheer Force. Ancient Power is boosted by Sheer Force and hits Flying-types for super effective damage, most notably Mega Aerodactyl and Noivern. Hidden Power Grass can be used in the fourth slot to catch Swampert, Quagsire, and Gastrodon on the switch. Alternatively, Will-O-Wispcan cripple physical attackers by halving their Attack stat.

Set Details
========

Solid Rock, Camerupt's ability before Mega Evolving, helps it take super effective hits better if an opponent predicts the switch. Sheer Force, Mega Camerupt's ability, gives a great power boost to Camerupt's attacks with a secondary effect. Cameruptite allows Camerupt to Mega Evolve into Mega Camerupt. Max HP and Special Attack investment help Mega Camerupt take hits better and hit as hard as possible. A Modest nature gives another boost to Camerupt's great Special Attack. If Camerupt is used on a Trick Room team, make sure to use a Quiet nature.

Usage Tips
========

This Camerupt fits best on bulky offense teams because of its ability to take hits and hit opponents back quite hard with a STAB attack. Make sure to Mega Evolve as soon as possible, because Mega Camerupt will get a huge boost in its offensive stats as well as its defensive stats. Try to predict when an opposing check or counter might come in; for example, if you predict a Swampert to come in, make sure to go for Hidden Power Grass or Will-O-Wisp, instead of hitting it with Fire Blast. Switch out of threatening Water-types, because their STAB attacks will most likely OHKO Mega Camerupt. Ground-types are threatening too as they outspeed and beat Camerupt with a STAB attack. Mega Camerupt can switch into predicted Volt Switches and other Electric-type moves to force opposing Pokemon to switch out in most situations and get off a lot of damage on the opponent's next switch-in. Bringing Mega Camerupt in with a slow U-turn or Volt Switch is good, too, as it cannot recover any damage taken by switching in normally without healing support.

Team Options
========

Trick Room support from Pokemon such as Porygon2 and Cofagrigus is especially great, because then Mega Camerupt will usually move first. Pokemon that can switch into Water-types for Camerupt and beat them, such as Roserade and Shaymin, make for good partners. Pokemon that can reliably beat Ground-types that threaten Camerupt, such as Chesnaught and Suicune, are excellent teammates as well. Wish support from Pokemon such as Blissey and Florges is really good for Camerupt, as it lacks its own form of reliable recovery. Entry hazard support from Pokemon such as Nidoqueen and Forretress is nice, too, as this will give Mega Camerupt an easier time wallbreaking. Furthermore, Pokemon that can remove entry hazards such as Crobat and Tentacruel are good partners, as Mega Camerupt cannot recover from chip damage taken. Slow U-turn or Volt Switch users such as Forretress are great for Mega Camerupt because it cannot recover damage taken while switching in. Lastly, special attackers that appreciate Mega Camerupt plowing through their checks and counters, such as Shaymin and Raikou, are good partners.

Other Options
########

Stealth Rock breaks Focus Sashes and wears foes down so Camerupt and allies can KO enemies easier, but because of Camerupt's low Speed, entry hazard setting is better done by other Pokemon such as Nidoqueen. Roar phazes out opponents, but Camerupt doesn't have a slot available to use it, as it will lose out on an important coverage move. Explosion is another usable option when Camerupt is about to faint as it deals great damage, but wastes a powerful Mega Pokemon if used too soon. Iron Head hits Fairy-types such as Florges and Aromatisse, but doesn't have good coverage and has no other relevant targets. Toxic can be used to wear down foes turn after turn, but Camerupt isn't a good user of it because of the lack of reliable recovery. A RestTalk set is Mega Camerupt's only option for recovery, but leaves it with only two coverage options, which it cannot afford.

Checks & Counters
########

**Blissey**: Blissey is the only specially defensive Pokemon that can take on Mega Camerupt rather well, as it is only 3HKOed by Fire Blast and can Toxic Camerupt and stall it out.

**Water-types**: Water-types such as Suicune, Swampert, Mega Sharpedo, and Tentacruel can OHKO Camerupt easily with one of their STAB attacks, but have trouble switching in to it.

**Ground-types**: Ground-types such as Krookodile and Nidoking can easily beat Camerupt with a Ground-type STAB attack.

Sorry this is a little late

I would remove Rock Polish from OO since after a boost, it is still slow due to the fact it still can't outspeed positive-natured 90s. I'm talking positive-natured speed on Camerupt too.

Otherwise, I don't really see anything out of the ordinary here, since I rarely ever see it in this metagame.

QC 1/3

Ancient Power is better than Rock Slide

252+ SpA Sheer Force Camerupt Ancient Power vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Aerodactyl: 212-250 (70.4 - 83%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
4 Atk Sheer Force Camerupt Rock Slide vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Aerodactyl: 190-224 (63.1 - 74.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Sheer Force Camerupt Ancient Power vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Noivern: 244-288 (78.4 - 92.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
4 Atk Sheer Force Camerupt Rock Slide vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Noivern: 200-236 (64.3 - 75.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Made all changes up to this point (including replacing Rock Slide with AncientPower, had to edit the set a small bit, Modes nature, kept Quiet in Set Details though for if it is used on Trick Room teams. The leftover 4 EVs I put in Defense.)

Not QC, but I think the 4 EVs should be placed in Speed rather than Defense in order to outspeed opposing Mega Camerupt without having to risk the speed tie. It's not considered speed creep, or at least I think it isn't...

I doubt that, because of a Quiet nature is ran under Trick Room, it's gonna outspeed opposing Megarupt's anyway.

I've only used this in ru and I'm not qc but I suspect that absolute minimum speed might be as good or better than modest with 31 ivs even outside trick room teams because you outspeed basically nothing anyways except paralyzed pokemon (and not all teams use paralysis) so it's cool to have a trick room counter.

Yeah but you don't run physical attacks anyway and I'd rather speedtie opposing Mega Camerupt thn getting outsped and OHKOed.

Idk brah sure mega camerupt is a threat but it is basically the only threat while with min speed you outspeed almost every trick room usr in trick room except opposing camerupt. you're even slower than snorlax and slowking.

I did mention a Quiet nature along with 0 Speed IVs in Set Details already.

In Usage Tips, talk a little bit about prediction and, due to Camerupt's low Speed, how it's absolutely necessary or else you've wasted turns and you'll likely be forced out. For example, you could pack HP Grass but if you don't actually use it on the Swampert switchin, you risk getting OHKOd. This is a pretty obvious but I feel like if "switch out of Water-types" can go in Usage Tips then this definitely can as well. Will stamp after it's implemented.

Most of your "Camerupt"s that you said should probably be all changed to "Mega Camerupt", though, unless they're specifically referring to non-Mega Camerupt.

Something I noticed, on the comment of when using a Quiet nature.

You can't have 0 speed if you decide to use HP Grass.

Speed needs to be an odd number.

Solid Rock is Camerupt's ability before Mega Evolving, and helps it take super effective hits better if an opponent predicts the switch in. Sheer Force is Mega Camerupt's ability, and gives a great power boost to Camerupt's attacks with a secondary effect. Cameruptite allows Camerupt to Mega Evolve into Mega Camerupt. Max HP helps Mega Camerupt take hits better and max Special Attack lets it hit as hard as possible. It won't outspeed many Pokemon anyway. A Modest nature gives another boost to Camerupt's great Special Attack, and therefore is the best nature to use. If Camerupt is used on a Trick Room team, make sure to use a Quiet nature along with 0 Speed IVs.

Usage Tips
========

This Camerupt fits best on bulky offense teams because of its ability to take hits and hit opponents back quite hard with a STAB attack. Make sure to Mega Evolve as soon as possible, because Mega Camerupt will get a huge boost in offensive power as well as Defense. Try to predict when an opposing check or counter may might come in; for example, if you predict a Swampert to come in, make sure to go for Hidden Power Grass or Will-O-Wisp, instead of hitting it with Fire Blast. Switch out of threatening Water-types, because their STAB attacks will most likely OHKO Mega Camerupt. Ground-types are threatening too, as they outspeed and beat Camerupt with a STAB attack, so make sure to switch out of those when you predict one to wanna come in. Mega Camerupt can switch into predicted Volt Switches and other Electric-type moves to force opposing Pokemon to switch in most situations and get off a lot of damage on the switch-in switched in Pokemon. Bringing Mega Camerupt in with a slow U-turn or Volt Switch is good too, as it cannot recover any damage taken by switching in normally on its own back and proceed with wallbreaking.

Team Options
========

Trick Room support from Pokemon such as Porygon2 and Cofagrigus is especially great, because then Mega Camerupt will usually move first. Pokemon that can switch into Water-types attacks for Camerupt and beat them, such as Roserade and Shaymin, make for good partners too. Pokemon that can reliably beat Ground-types that threaten Camerupt, such as Chesnaught and Suicune, are excellent teammates as well. Also, Wish support from Pokemon such as Blissey and Florges is really good for Camerupt as it lacks reliable recovery on its own. Entry hazard support from Pokemon such as Nidoqueen and Forretress is nice too, as this will give Mega Camerupt an easier time wallbreaking. Furthermore, Pokemon that can remove hazards such as Crobat and Tentacruel are good partners too, as Mega Camerupt cannot recover from the damage taken. Slow U-turn or Volt Switch users such as Forretress are great for Mega Camerupt because it cannot recover damage taken switching in on the switch in. Lastly, special attackers that appreciate Mega Camerupt plowing through their checks and counters, such as Shaymin and Raikou, are good partners too. Stuff like "as well" and "too" at the ends of these sentences isn't exactly wrong, but when you use introductory words like "Furthermore" and "Also" at the beginning of these sentences, it's a bit redundant

Other Options
########

Stealth Rock can be used for itself Camerupt and allies to KO opponents earlier, but because of its Camerupt's low Speed that's better done by other Pokemon such as Nidoqueen. Roar can be used to phaze out opponents, but Camerupt doesn't have a slot available to use it as it will lose out on an important coverage move. Explosion is another usable option when Camerupt is about to faint as it deals great damage, but wastes a powerful Mega Pokemon if used directly. Iron Head hits Fairy-types such as Florges and Aromatisse harder, alternatively, "harder than Camerupt's other moves" but doesn't have good coverage and has no other relevant targets. Toxic can be used to wear down foes turn after turn, but Camerupt isn't a good user of it because of the lack of reliable recovery. A RestTalk set is a final option for recovery for Mega Camerupt, but leaves its Mega Camerupt only with two coverage options which it cannot afford.

Checks & Counters
########

**Blissey**: Blissey is the only specially defensive Pokemon that can take on Mega Camerupt rather well, as it is only 3HKOed by Fire Blast and can Toxic Camerupt and stall it out after.

**Water-types**: Water-types such as Suicune, Swampert, Mega Sharpedo, and Tentacruel, (RC) can OHKO Camerupt easily with one of their STAB attacks, but have trouble switching in.

**Ground-types**: Ground-types such as Krookodile and Nidoking can easily beat Camerupt with a Ground-type STAB attack.

1/2

Most of your "Camerupt"s that you said should probably be all changed to "Mega Camerupt", though, unless they're specifically referring to non-Mega Camerupt.
Implemented this, thanks!

Something I noticed, on the comment of when using a Quiet nature.

You can't have 0 speed if you decide to use HP Grass.

Speed needs to be an odd number.
Thank you! I removed that line with 0 Speed IVs.

Overview
########

Mega Camerupt has great offensive and defensive power, which allows it to function as a powerful wallbreaker. It has a very useful ability in Sheer Force,(AC) which boosts any of Camerupt's attacks with a secondary effect, such as Fire Blast and Earth Power. Furthermore, it has a good STAB combination in Fire + Ground, which almost hits any every typing for neutral damage (as a STAB combo, it hits everything at least neutrally; if you meant to specify that it doesn't hit things like Dragon/Flying and Water/Flying type combinations, specify "type combinations" - if not, leave it as I've changed it). However, Camerupt does not have a very wide movepool. It also has a bad defensive typing which that leaves Camerupt with a 4x weakness to common Water-type attacks. Mega Camerupt is also extremely slow for an offensive attacker, making Camerupt quite easy to revenge kill. It isn't very hard to wear down Mega Camerupt, as it lacks reliable recovery to stay healthy.

Fire Blast is a very powerful STAB attack with good coverage, and its power is also further boosted by Sheer Force. Earth Power is a secondary STAB attack with great coverage alongside Fire Blast (describing Earth Power as having good coverage in conjunction with Fire Blast sounds better than saying both moves individually have good coverage) and decent power, and is also boosted by Sheer Force. Ancient Power is boosted by Sheer Force and hits Flying-types immune to Earth Power (this makes it seem like Ancient Power is the only move on this set that can hit Flying-types as a support to Earth Power, but Fire Blast also does, so don't bother mentioning it imo) for super effective damage, most notably Mega Aerodactyl and Noivern. Hidden Power Grass can be used in the fourth slot to catch Swampert, Quagsire, and Gastrodon on the switch. Alternatively, Will-O-Wisp is another option to use in the last slot as it will can cripple physical attackers by halving their physical Attack stat.
