name: Cleric
move 1: Aromatherapy
move 2: Seismic Toss
move 3: Thunder Wave / Toxic
move 4: Soft-Boiled
item: Leftovers
[Set Comments]
- Chansey can heal burns and sleep for teammates
- Seismic Toss deals damage against foes and does not rely on the attack stat
- Thunder Wave ruins Pokemon that rely on speed / Toxic causes residual damage to foes
- Soft-Boiled heals HP by half and increases longevity
- Chansey heals teammates while dealing out status
- Leftovers gives Chansey needed HP each turn
[Additional Comments]
- Chansey can absorb Special Attacks
- Skarmory is a good teammate for its ability to switch into non-STAB fighting moves
- Gengar can be a switch-in for Fighting-type moves; It can burn physical attackers to aid Chansey
- Ice Beam can be used in place of Thunder Wave / Toxic but will not have a large impact with Chansey's Sp. Attack stat.
- Agility can be used alongside Baton Pass and Swords Dance to pass boosts to a teammate, although this is extremely difficult to pull off.
- Counter could be a good substitute for Seismic Toss; This may not be reliable because Chansey has poor Defense for taking physical hits.
- Fighting-types like Heracross, Blaziken, Machamp, Breloom, Hariyama, and Medicham pose large threats to Chansey
- Gengar can use Taunt and render the set useless
- Boosted physical attacks can cripple Chansey
